Everyone needs to remember that when just playing vr the GTX 1650 Super will perform better, he is streaming at the same time witch reduces performance
The main issue isn't streaming, but streaming using software rendering. This is my one gripe with budget AMD builds. You have to spend more to alleviate bottle-necking if you want to stream or even just record gaming clips which then makes them not so budget.
I have a Rtx 3060 I have a good a CPU My Refresh rate Is 90hz. For Blade and sorcery I get 40/30 FPS When Attacking enemies It’s pretty Good for VRChat I get 90fps on a Private sever with me on it but when I join a public lobby with over 30 players I get 40 FPS and maybe sometimes 30 It’s pretty Good
@@chapstoecklein2731 4000 desktop cpus don’t exist and 5000 series is overkill for lots rn. I can vouch for that since I bought a 5600x after release and still can’t use it to its full potential
Seeing as their CPU causes a pretty big bottleneck, only allowing the GPU to be running at half utilization most of the time, the CPU they use is not really good enough, and upgrading would see a large increase in FPS. I do have a better CPU, but a worse GPU (1050 Ti) and it performs better than this does. A 1650 Super does quite well with in VR if you’re fine with turning down some settings in more intensive games.

I have that exact config and I have tried running some games, but I am trying to do more research on running them as efficiently as I can. Yes, it can run games, but it won't be all buttery smooth, and high resolution, you need the patience and expectations to match what you'll get.
I would upgrade it a 1660 s. Most vr games need more vram. Right now I have 1650 s ryzen 5 3600 8gb of ram.(I’m upgrading my gpu and ram). But I could play game like half life alyx on low with it being smooth. So ya you will run vr games
My 1650 super IS able to run VR, and is almost never bottlenecked on lowest settings. Though, I do have a crappy cpu (i5 4670) and ram (16gb ddr3) so it wouldn't run too well no matter what gpu lol

I’ve tried with link and airlink and performance is pretty much the same. I had a rift s for a while and it ran everything much better. Is there something I’m missing here?
you can try benchmarking your pc like how i did in the video using msi afterburner to check why your vr is getting bad performance also, you can contact oculus support and submit a ticket

Sorry for late reply. Depends of course of the game. I have an gtx 1650, intel i5 4570, and 8 gb of ram. beat saber, five nights at freddy's help wanted, payday 2 and more and they work fine, if you dont really care about graphics. So if you dont play any too heavy games it Will work fine.

What games are you thinking? Cause if you were to play games like, beat saber and Some games that are easier to run it Will work fine. But any heavier games like boneworks, half life and zero caliber might not run well. Depends how much fps drops you can take.
When you were playing Rec Room, did it feel fine. Also did you have the lowest graphics settings on rec room itself or just on SteamVR?

The base 1650 will not be compatible with the Oculus app as it will say "GPU not compatible", the 1650 super however is compatible, hope that helped.
