    Hi Spike,
I have really enjoyed this series of videos so far and have learned a lot. It is clear that you, Paul and Gary put in a huge amount of work. Paul's attention to detail is amazing. Many thanks and all the best!

You mention that Hank didn't use neck pickup on final tour. If he was using a K7 or K9 wiring harness with the Kinman Pickups he would be blending bridge & neck pickups to achieve the result.

    Hi
I am a lucky man because I own a TVS3. And from each of your videos I find valuable information that I can implement in my guitar playing and recording sessions. And it is very inspiring! I of course hope for many more interesting videos from you.
I must also cite James' Paul's attention to detail is amazing. "Which I think is spot on ...
Commitment to detail has clearly resulted in a fantastic product. Not least, the A / B tests confirm this.
    Thanks
    Regards from Stockholm, Sweden
    / / Rolf

you can bet those sounds didnt come out hanks guitar back then! the echos would have been down to norrie paramor and the recording engineers, hanks proved that fact hes never been able duplicate it since, and not on any of the hits in fact

    Hi Spiro,
The TVS team has done a superb job and given a definitive answer to that sound by reproducing it live for us and with panache.
    Bravo and congratulations.
I still play in front of my small video camera with my PA and my amp live behind me, hence my mediocre sound.
I would like to know where does the microphone cable goes to and how
do Gary or Paul hear the BT? (I assume it is played back from the PC and amplified).
    Blessings,.
    Abel

    @MrPeteheer
    Hi Peter
I'll await Paul's comments but for home recording we always add the EQ or compression after just as they did at the Abbey Road mixing desk.
For live recording, it may be more appropriate but I'll let Paul comment on that!
    Cheers

One of the PITA things about buying pickup sets these days is that they make 'balanced' sets. The bridge pickups are always wound 'hotter' than the rest, so even your CS54s (yeah, I had a set a while ago) are not vintage accurate.
'Back in the day' Fender just churned out one Strat pickup, they pulled three from a bucket and soldered them 'where they landed'. It's that 'lucky dip' approach that gives many of the fabled guitars their unique characters, and why there have been no 'holy grails' made in the last 50 years.

Again an excellent and very informative video.
I don't wish to pre-empt any further videos on live performances but would you/Paul care to comment on the effect of putting an equaliser and/or compressor between the TVS3 and the amp? I know it won't be the same but would be interested in your comments.
    Thanks
    Peter

richard coburn RCAA curve of the vinyl could make it warmer. Also recorded media is always different due to post processing. It's comparing apples and pears here!
