I am 57 years old now. I remember hearing Dean's smooth singing voice. His effortless charming voice. He had fun in his life. He lived it to the most. He was loved by millions. His musical legacy will live on forever. There will never be anyone even close to Dean Martin. He was a clown and a class act. Always in my heart, Dean. xo
Shawn Gullifor I disagree with only one of your points. Jerry was the clown, but for me Deans ad-libs and clever wordplay was always much funnier (especially when you consider that he never even spoke English until he started school, and was always self-conscious about what he thought of as his bad English; “When Jerry and I first became famous and used to go to parties, I would never say much and people thought I was stuck-up. But it was because I couldn’t speak well, so I would keep my mouth shut”). Dean just had ‘funny bones’ and always saw the humorous side of everything. As Jeanie once said; “He had his own unique way of looking at the world”
Linda Shelley Well to me Jerry just acted like an idiot, but Dean had the deep humor after he left Jerry if course which was the best move of his life. Jerry hung on to that relationship the rest of his life. He always stopped being an ass when asked about Dean!
What a wonderful tribute to a wonderful entertainer. Every year around this time (Christmas) I think about Dean, and where I was when I heard of his passing Christmas morning 1995. I was with my oldest sister, we were talking about Dean and all the joy he gave the world. That was just about the last year my sister was well, and we shared tmes like that. She passed a few years later, but I always think of her and Dean this time of the year. I hope I can hear his voice 1 time when I get to heaven.
Dean loved Christmas. He always had a Christmas Special on his tv show, every year. It is so ironic that he died on Christmas Day in 1995. Yes, I'm sure that Dean is in heaven singing with the angles.
I saw both Frank and Sammy in Vegas but did not get a chance to see Dean. He was the king of Kool with a capital K. Sammy always wanted to be Frank, Frank always wanted to be Dean, and Dean always wanted to be playing golf. His said and did funny things and Frank could not tell a joke to save his life. Remember the good times. R.I.P. fellow Gemini. ( Died 12/25/95)
My Grandma loved her Dino she taught me about real music it will be 3yrs 2morrow .. Damn I miss that Great Lady..Loved this made me laugh and cry.. Thanks
The world needs these kind of entertainers again! Used to watch his TV show with my family when I was a kid. Lots of great memories. This brought them all back. Great Job! Thanks.
This Christmas will be a bit sad for me because it will be the 20th anniversary of Dean Martins passing.....Still enjoying your music, movies and variety shows. RIP Mr Martin....You are missed
Humor del mejor. Genio Dean Martin.! Siempre las mejores ondas para la vida y este mundo. Ni hablar de sus canciones, siempre exquisito, con gran estilo. Gracias por este homenaje y por subir el video.
Thanks for bringing back wonderful memories of Dean Martin in your tribute. My sister and I had the pleasure of performing with him for nearly two decades... he was the best!!! "For The Good Times," we wrote a book called, "Beyond Our Wildest Dreams" about our time with him backstage in Vegas, on location and at NBC shooting his television show. Blessings!
As I am about to turn 69 y/o, I realize just how sad it is to " get old". I'm so far from the man I once was --&, watching Dean as he grew old, I understand that no one escapes --he was the most handsome man I ever saw when I met him in '64. --But as with me --now--time wasn't kind to Dean, & I so understand his sadness! God Bless You, Dean Paul Martin! Wolfsky9, 68 y/o Now--& Another Italian -American
Wolfsky9 I am of a similar age to you so I know just what you mean. These days it’s harder for me to get around as easily as I used to. But, as Maurice Chevalier once said; ‘old age isn’t so bad once you consider the alternative!’ So, I’ll just settle myself in my nice comfy chair, watch some Dino on my iPad and enjoy a nice bar of chocolate while the rain pours down outside....👵🏻🍫
WHAT A SINGER MY PARENTS PLAYED HIS SONGS WHEN I WAS GROWING UP IN THE SIXTIES DEAN MARTIN AND ALL OF THE OTHER TREMENDOUS SINGERS AT THAT TIME THE LIKES OF FRANK SINATRA SAMMY DAVIS JNR NAT KING COLE AND MANY MORE, BUT THIS MANS VOICE JUST KEPT RESONATING IN MY EARS AND HEAD ,HE WAS SO LAID BACK AND FUNNY ALSO , I THANK MY DEAR DEPARTED PARENTS WHO INTRODUCED ME TO THIS WONDERFUL SINGER ,
I am so sad that i wasn't around to meet him, I never had the chance. Such a charismatic fellow. Thank you so much for posting this. Brought tears to my eyes.
I'll start singing at 48 years old ... and make the show devoted to the voice of Dean songs. Since child know this wonderful man show but only now discovered that I can sing and what is better, my voice is like his singing at Mi ... and most of his songs are on this musical note .... which also just discovered now ...
There IS a Heaven. It's a real place. You can know for sure. Get a King James Bible. Read it. Start with the Gospels. Ask Jesus to come into your life and be your Saviour. You CAN know for sure where you'll spend eternity. It's not how good you are. It's what Jesus did for everyone of us on the Cross of Calvary. You'll spend eternity in Heaven if you accept the FREE GIFT of Salvation. It's not religion. It's not rules. It's not being part of a church. It's having a relationship with a Living, Risen Saviour, Jesus Christ.
Thank you so much for posting this! Wonderful tribute to a man I think was one of the greatest singers and entertainers. Great sense of humor and so witty! I used to love watching his show. He brought so much joy to so many!. I take singing lessons now, at 62. Now I wish I had started years ago. I even try singing a few of his songs. He is still missed! RIP Dean!
+ARTHUR GRIMES Just take the lessons. Be sure that Dean Martin did his rehearsals just like everybody else. You haven t got what Dean Martin had and Dean Martin didn t have what you have. Just keep on trying what the hell.
Everytime I see Dean ...my dad looked like him and could sing. Like him!!! and I sent my parents to the Saber Room near Chicago to see Dean and Frank Sintatra for their anniversary.i also saw them!!!.they loved it...
@JayH7745 Wow! Thanks man! Your comment really made my day. SO glad that you liked it! Wasn't he just wonderful? "If he sings do-bi-do I'm gonna die..." XD
Ce grand crooner, acteur, humoriste et animateur, nous a quitté trop tôt. Son sourire rieur, ses yeux pleins de malice, son physique charmeur nous manquent. Surtout sa voix est irremplaçable.
Jo O Reilly It’s true that Dean did have some bad times (especially after Dean Paul was so tragically killed), but I don’t think it was ALL sad, he seemed to have a lot of fun along the way too.
Our generation got shafted. I was born in the wrong times. Then they had Dean, Frank, JFK, Elvis, THE BEATLES, Eric Clapton and the cream, Fleetwood Mac, beach boys, Johnny Cash, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Aretha, Tina, Marvin, and I could stay here all day. We get SHIT they call “music”. People care more about status on fb, insta, and twitter. Nobody just stops by for a visit you have to text and email. People truly cared about making life connections not just a like on a picture. Back when style was untimely and dapper really beautiful fabric. Now we have yoga pants and skinny jeans. Then there was Johnny Carson now we have shit night time entertainment. So sad we got shafted. People had true talents didn’t just ride on the fame of sex tapes. Movies had true meaning and directed beautifully! Now ugh movies suck. Wish I had a time machine.
Well America went through a social revolution at the same time it was really booming after ww2, and the baby boomers like me were spoiled educated and rich compared to the rest of the world. THE, THE ,THE KING OF COOL! Miss you so much Dino, "There'll never be anyone else but you!"
We lost Dean on Christmas day 1995 he was only 78. He was still a young man.
Dean Martin was a first class performer , genuine, fantastic timing.
They don't make classics like him anymore !
God bless ;
Gary 🤗
It is a shame today's youngsters will never experience Dean Martin or the Rat Pack. He and they were truly an amazing act.

Those guys were so smooth with such beautiful voices Frank Sinatra adored Dean Martin, he couldn´t hide it. Hard to find someone like that today.
Dean Martin was Elvis's idol. That's says allot.

Love this man-Ted Krzyzanowski
Don't look so sad
I know it's over
But life goes on
And this old world
Will Keep on turning
Let's just be glad
We had this time
To spend together
There is no need to watch the bridges
That we're burning
Lay your head upon my pillow
Hold your warm and tender body
Close to mine
Hear the whisper of the raindrops
Blow softly against my window
Make believe you love me
One more time
For the good times
For the good times
I'll get along
You'll find another
And I'll be here
If you should ever find
You need me
Don't say a word
About tomorrow
Or forever and ever and ever and ever
There'll be time enough for sadness
When you leave me
For the good times
For the good times
Lay your head upon my pillow
Hold your warm and tender body
Close to mine
Hear the whisper of the raindrops
Blow softly against my window
Make believe you love me
One more time
For the good times
For the good times
Lay your head upon my pillow
Hold your warm and tender body
Close to mine
