I’ve sewn for years but I still shy away from knit fabrics, although I know it’s not really that bad. You need to make sure you use the correct needle for knit fabric or you’ll have issues. And like you said, a zig zag stitch is necessary to use or those stitches will pop as soon as you pull on it if you used a straight stitch. Speaking from my past experiences lol.

Just weave in and out. I have a sparkling gold band that makes it look very dressy. My hair is down to my waist. I'm 71 years old, and people think I'm 50, as it is trendy, neat and cute styling. Thanks for showing how to make this! I am going to try it. I think I will practice on t-shirt material first. Plus I know I have a couple shirts made from that type of material you showed that don't fit me anymore...so I am going to up cycle them into a bandeau! Actually second hand stores would be a great place to get that material cheap by up cycling shirts into bandeaus. I am thinking I am going to make some for stocking stuffers 🤯🥶 I know right....thinking Christmas gifts already ...crazy! Oh I was thinking to help in holding the material in place you could place a couple pins to help hold it. And not sure if that material ravels much but it helps to use a pinking sheers to cut the ends along a seam to keep it from raveling over time 👍👍 Great job on doing this!!
