I love this band now more than ever! Todd has breathed new life into a band that needed a new direction and when a new singer joins it seldom works, but in this case it certainly did. I hope they have many more years of success.

from what I've seen, Century is a pretty solid label, as far as getting artists songs our there and making the music videos good.
Scott Rockenfield is so unappreciated. the drums and kicks sound is second to none. .drum beats are sweet

Yet another excellent track from Condition Human, which in the opinion of this fan is one of the best Queensryche albums ever produced. Hopefully the band will soon realize that they have a real winner on their hands with this album and add more tunes from it to the set list for the CH tour, it's a golden opportunity to present their new art to the fans.

I'm blown away by how great this song is!! I haven't followed the "new" QR, but holy shit!! This is AMAZING!!! The band sounds KILLER!!! Eddie, as always, kills it!!!!! I'll have to get back into Queensryche now for sure!!

All fans of the band need to get behind this record and promote the hell out of it and get a friend or two to go to the shows with ya. This nonsense that the people who jumped off the boat with their it's not Queensryche with Geoff can fuck off. This is killer.
During the dark ages of Queensrÿche, I turned to other bands for the kind of fix I used to get from albums like Rage, Empire, Promised Land. Bands like Threshold, great musicians, stellar songs. Now Queensrÿche is back and they make those other bands (though I still like them) sound a bit bland. It's like when you listen to Rush for awhile and then afterwards, all other bands sound like a bunch friendly amateurs.

Nah Queensryche has influence many bands including Tool, QR started in 1,982 you should listen to the song I am I from Queensryche that came out in 1,995 and is similar to this one, waaay before Tool.
+Metalgears1968 "Undertow" came out in 1993 by the way… The bassline is just typical of the Tool style of prog… this doesn't diminish the meaning of QR for the whole genre. You need certain terms to describe music, styles and the way some patterns feel.
"Toolish" is an adjective to describe this special approach to start a song with a proggy bassline (see "Schism" or "Vicarious" or…or…) just like a whisky is described with attributes like "oak", "vanilla", "dark fruits" etc. which does not mean it actually tastes like this but a certain shade of flavour.
But WTF, let's enjoy this great music. That's what it is, that's what it will be despite of what comes from whom and where and why…

Promised land was recorded in 1,993 and released in 1,994 I don't need to be a historian to figure out musical influences, have a good one.
I never mentioned that QR was influenced by Tool. "Toolish" is just a vocabulary to describe a certain style that's typical of Tool. Sometimes it's so hard to get the message across… To me it is so f****** unimportant who had influence on whom… I have loved both bands for more than 20 years and I will love them for the rest of my days!

perhaps ironic that some of Queensryche's best music for many years has come after the split with singer Geoff Tate. ironic because Tate's new band have also delivered two epic albums in the same time period. This situation is not new to me, having once been a fan of UFO with Michael Schenker on guitar, who also split with his band but brought out quality albums whilst UFO continued with Paul Chapman anc later Tommy McClendon, still making stunning music.
Queensryche's break up was vile but the music from both new camps is something to cherish. This track is a feast for the senses!

Tate is one of my favourite singers ever: Geoff Tate, Ray Alder, Coverdale, Dio, Jorn Lande, Michael Kiske. If you see Bruce dickinson is still kicking ass in Maiden last records, tough i don´t like the songs v. much, but his singing is still powerful. Tate should stop himself on the point os Promised Land. He sounded great in the 90´s, beginning of the 2000´s. But then he went down a great slope, i think he sucked from being in a rock band after his 40.
