- Around 1:30pm this Escanaba & Lake Superior freight train came by East Kingsford, Michigan with good load behind. A few hours later on my way up north my wife sent a text saying a train was going past again, which we caught on our front-yard camera. I included some of the drive north thru Channing and beyond..

Great video as usual, thanks for sharing with us in MAINE!!!
You should stop at the old caboose right before Randville
502 has a beautiful air horn. Love her sound.
Great video Jason.
I enjoyed that video👍👍
Nice catch of the ELS heading North. Whatever the product is on the Centerbeam cars must be getting in high demand! Cheers from Laurel, Delaware USA.
Thank You for the road adventure and rail clips.
Great video
you should do radio......you have the voice for it.......and did you drink some gatorade?
You live in a beautiful part of the USA Jason. ❤
The ol' bug on he windshield...
Always kinda scary watching SmartSiding doing the Jason Jiggle.
Looks like a beautiful day in Upper Michigan!
Very cool color rock. That was near where my grandfather taken me fishing as a kid.
Nice!
Sunday in Canada.Hope you have a good weekend. J.
Was that a white Freddy? It would be a first for me on the E&LS. Thanks for sharing. 👍
Jason are u on Michigan 28? That looks like Lake Superior.
Certainly a pleasant day to watch a train and this one size-wise isn't the largest they've ever ran but they might be anxious about how much weight they're sending down the line that probably is still pretty soggy. They got those 11 cars loaded pretty quickly and those are top priority. That hapless empty apparently needs more fixing than Channing yard or their truck can provide so back it goes. Jason you're right I'm sure they had 10 cars from Alter but only four came back. Indeed that area along Keweenaw Bay is beautiful and produces great scenes all four seasons. Indeed a passenger on the Copper Country Limited would have also enjoyed some of these views. One rock out of thousands so you've got your work cut out in front of you. Technically a Twist on "The Shining" no axe required
Is some great views I agree.. I love it up there!
Jason, how do you avoid the deer at night on your trips to Lake Superior?
Went to Painted Rock a couple of years ago, and I do not think that water ever gets warm does it, stays about 42° F all summer ?
Congrats on your increased subs, up to over 95K soon 100 ? ?
Wonder if it's not worth switching out the unloaded centerbeams so they go with the loads.
Are those rocks free for the taking? I know a guy who took rocks out of the Au Sable river. The DNR made him put them back bc they belong to the state.
U posted this before Jason....🤔
If ELS was smart, they'd alternate load/empty/load/empty to save a little weight on the wonderfully smooth trackage........just sayin'! For some reason, Lake Superior just has way more water than i want to deal with. Those "glow-in-the-dark" rocks are neat, my sister used to find "geodes" along the Mississippi River between Quincy and the Quad Cities years ago, they were exquisite when they were opened. Yep!, i saw those people, my eyes arent THAT bad yet!
Afraid to blow the horn???
