Hello Skye I arrive in Thailand on 2nd January until 26th Jan. I then go to Malaysia for 1 week before returning to Thailand on 2nd February. Assuming I am given a second 30 days exemption at the Malaysian/Thailand border crossing , can I then extend this for a further 30 days up until I leave Thailand on 27th March. Regards. Andrew
Hi Skye, when entering on an exemption visa do you need to have a return flight or an exit flight from Thailand to another country? Thanks a bunch for your info.
An extension is for only 30 days and its concurrent with existing visa so many sites advise get it done early, then you dont get 60 days maybe 40 days etc
Do you need to have travel plan for exiting the country when you get the VOA? And if so how do you extend? Would you just have to buy a second plane ticket?
Does the free 30 day Visa apply only to flights into Thailand or does it also apply to travel overland, e.g. Malaysia into Thailand via road or boat (Langkawi to Log Lipe)?
Okay miss Samuels, after watching your video here, I’m more confused then before. My original intensional were to travel to Thailand searching for a clinic to help me restore my smile, but now I’m thinking it might take longer the 90 day, but I’m not sure. On the Thailand immigration site, I see they require both flight information and accommodation info. So at this point I need assistance, can you help. Or push me in the right direction?
Hello can somebody please help me I’m planning on travelling all Southeast Asia my question is once I stayed in Thailand for 30 days and go to say Cambodia do I get another 30 days? And then again from Cambodia to Vietnam do I get another 30 days from there? Any help would be appreciated maybe I’m being slow but first time travelling alone thanks 🙏
Don't you need proof of return flight, booked acomedation with paper proof, bank statements, then if you get 30day extention what happens to your flight?
How many times can an individual be eligible for visa exemption in a calender year? After 60 days does one need to come back to their home country or can they go to any other neighbouring countries and hop back into thailand again?
I accidentally booked my flight spaced 35 days apart, flying out in 3 day and can only get visa on arrival at this point - what should I do? Please advice
There are other ways to stay longer in Thailand, to be specific in Phuket. Just look for international language school, they are usually run by Russians. For about 59.000 thb they can turn you into a student for 12-24 mouths .
@@anthonyngooo there is a answer in your question. You pay 59k and you are legally in Thailand for one year without the hassle of dying extensions going to visa runs and so on , you do know that visa runs is 15 k and if you are in Phuket you need to travel 17h thru all country ?
@@studyobservation-rn3bmI see, but that's assuming you're in phuket? From other videos and from Skye's other videos, she mentions you can extend your stay for up to 6 to sometimes 9 months. It's hard to justify 1.6k when I can just book a flight and do a day trip in another country to renew my stay for a fraction of the cost. Unless there's some other aspect I'm missing (aside from convenience, but again is that convenience worth 1.6k...)
@@anthonyngooo yes there are other aspects, if you wanna get Thai driving license ( buy it) you need one year visa at list , some long stay house contracts require one year visa . Also ,last but not least if you wanna buy brand new scooters from let's say Honda dealership you need to have a one year visa! Of course all of that can be by paste with a holy Spirit of💸 but why pay more and all that hassle???
If I'm starting my trip, going to other countries then ending my trip in Thailand will I need to get a multiple entry visa or would I be alright to get back in even if I extend my visa when I land in Thailand?
You can't extend your visa when you enter visa exempt, because how can you extend something you didn't have in the first place ? Terminology matters. Also your list of what you need to prepare for a 30 day extension of stay lacks an important document : the TM30. Which may or may not be asked (depends). Furthermore not every type "visa free" entry can be extended : there is visa exemption, but also visa waiver which is different. Also you say you can extend after you arrive in Thailand just a few days. This is not always the case : depends on where you are. You can never be fined 50 £ a day overstay, because first of all they don't use the pound in Thailand. And it is a different equivalent amount anyway.

I'm a UK citizen and visa free to travel to thailand for 9 days, what do I need to do going through immigration. Thank
Hello
The fine for overstay isn’t £50/day it’s 500THB/day.
Can you buy a roundtrip ticket over 30 days prior to arriving to thailand and then just pay to immigration customs the 10 day extension fee?

is an onward flight ticket required to get visa exemption?
Get one bcos they can refuse entry if u don't. You can get a cheap flight out or even a fake ticket, which I've done twice, for 10 dollars

Yes, the Ed visa. It’s the visa I’m going to get when I’m back in January and will make a video about it 😀 thanks!
59,000 baht as in approximately 1,600~ USD? What is the benefit to this route over a tourist visa + extensions and visa runs ?

I wouldn't advise over stay because they can black list you
