The fact is she was only gone a matter of hours at that point so For him to be that frantic So quickly when it is still logical that There would still be rational reason for her to just not be with her vehicle. He should have called the police immediately and not touched the vehicle. Instead he went out of his way to be over specific about why his prints were all over that vehicle. A reasonable person would conclude that behavior seems a bit suspicious.

He could have put it curbside for the municipality to pick up or for someone to find and re-use. Such aggressive hacking and burning doesn't look good and doesn't fit into any experience of grief I have ever encountered. This is why we need to change the jury system and go with the majority vote instead of insisting on every single positive vote.

Has anyone ever noticed how they say, "everyone grieves differently" when they're referring to a murderer? We may all grieve differently, but we all pretty much follow the same process. Murderers don't feel grief or remorse, so naturally their response looks different.
I beg to differ. I’ve lost close relatives including my parents. Reality and grief usually dint hit me until months post their deaths. I’m usually the calm one at that time.

Even 5 minutes of research on the science of our bodies at sleep will prove how one can sleep through a bulldozer.
Very true. With me it simply depends. Often I'll be woken by the smallest sound, like the floor gently creaking when my upstairs neighbor walks from his bedroom to bathroom, but sometimes someone could shake me & say my name yet they'll still have a tough time waking me. Depends on how deep you're sleeping, if you'd taken medication that causes more drowsiness, if you were overtired when you fell asleep etc... Lots of factors there.
The argument the daughter would definitely hear something didn’t make sense to me because blunt force injuries don’t necessarily make a loud sound, and she might have been knocked out on the first blow. I kind of think the jury was right and there was reasonable doubt. I think he did it but proving it is another thing.
Very well studied blaring fire alarms don't wake up a majority of children but smoke detectors that have Parents voices recorded calling out the kids names will make their sleeping brains much sooner.

Maybe they were both finished with the marriage? One thing that is strange; they lived in the house for 17 years and the ONLY blood they found was Ramona's. That seems so improbable. No one ever had a cut, or other things? How likely is that? This is a strange case and it seems like so many details don't match up or even exist. He doesn't appear to be a likable man, but that doesn't mean he's guilty. What we do know, she was obviously a lovely person and a great Mother. Condolences to her family, friends and community.🙏🙏🙏

We all grieve differently and we grieve differently for each of those we grieve over. When one of my best friends passed away, I immediately rearranged my furniture in my house. Every room. I have no idea why. He didn't live there. He had his own house. I just felt the need to change the way my rooms looked. Maybe because now, with him not here anymore, it was a change. Maybe I needed to keep changing things because my life was now forever changed with him no longer in my life. I don't know. Just a theory. Maybe that is what the husband was feeling too.
When one friend of my and my ex husband passed, I was sobbing like I was the widow, didn’t manage to go to the wake or funeral, I was a mess. Someone could think something about us, and it was genuine friendship. The guy just turned 39, I was devastated for him and his family. I bet his girlfriend wasn’t crying like me, but so what? We are so different. My personal feelings about this guy is he is a cold person, but that’s all. Can’t say it he is a murderer.
Maybe so...if he had only just rearranged furniture. He hired a cleaning crew (made them start in the bedroom), replaced the carpet, painted the walls, and BURNED the headboard.

Jeff Krotine had some part in his wife's death. That is one extremely cold pissed off dude. I think he was "going to get her" for cheating even though he was cheating also.
It is possible he hired someone to killed her at that location. But he is a cold dude, my gosh. I am not 100% convinced he is behind the murder, one think is sure, he didn’t do it with his own hands, his heart would give it up on him, I suppose.
A previous client of mine lost his wife (she had been terminally sick for a long time). Very quickly he got rid of their bed, dishes that were gifted at their wedding, all her belongings, repainted the house, changed the carpets. He loved her so much, but was grieving and wanted to get rid of everything that made the house remind him of her. Opposite to that I've known people to loose their spouse and keep everything of theirs exactly where it was, including a toothbrush laying on the bathroom counter.
Sometimes these killers are so stupid they don’t even remember to ask how their spouses died. Ill health or not, it appears he was acting and laying it on thick in that interrogation room, especially when he asked to wrap it up. He really didn’t seem too broken up to me

Tamron Hall is the perfect presenter for this channel. She is professional throughout. This case was so difficult because the husband was so erratic in his testimony. Yes, I understand his wish to clean up the blood stains, but I don't think that would be my reaction. I couldn't continue to sleep in that bed or even the house. I really hope justice arrives for Ramona.

I watch a lot of true crime shows and I’ve come to the conclusion that the main reason, besides corrupted 👮♀️, is that the people to decide someone’s fate is a jury of people such as: Librarian, plumber, Dr, cashier & so on are the ones to judge. Doesn’t make sense! We need professionals that are experts in human behavior & mental health. I say this bc I just have a degree in social work and while watching crime shows it’s BLOWN MY MIND when I’ve heard juror’s discuss behavior of the Defendant that might not make sense to them since they don’t have knowledge of psychology or how trauma can have an effect on someone.
I am waiting for Scott Peterson to get a new trial, because one of the only thing media was worried about the time of Laci’s death, was that he had a mistress, he was a liar and a cheater. The evidences on his case is not much different from this case. I wouldn’t convict someone on feelings.

And didn't he keep secret the fact that he had bought a boat that he took out that day? And didn't he say he had gone to play golf before he had been seen taking the boat out? There are so many things that causes one to come to the conclusion that he's guilty. It's going to be interesting to see these things explained away if he does get a new trial. Except psychology really is not an exact science either. You cannot say FACTUALLY a person did something because you believe it could fit into what behavior that particular person may or may not be capable of.
@@chattahuffman5117 there is one case of cold case files, or forensic files that showed to me how you can be telling the truth and some of the so call “circumstantial evidence “ being there to make you look it guilty. This guy gave another guy a ride, then the guy wanted him to drive to an area that he new to be not safe, he said no and asked him to leave his car. He got upset and took it a screw driver that was in the motorist truck and try to stab it him with. The truck owner was able to fled the attacker and didn’t go home, afraid of the guy learning where he lives and try to attack it him again. As he was driving around he sees the guy again, he call the police and tell them what happened. After driving for few minutes, he thought was safe to go home, as he enters his home, he notice something was wrong. The guy he gave a ride, was wondering around and chose a house to break it in, guess what house he chose? The guy who gave him the ride. But it was randomly, he killed the mother of the trucker and who was to say it it wasn’t her son? Because she was stabbed with the screwdriver he took it from his truck at the time of the ride, long story short, he was arrested, he told the story, the police don’t believed him. Later it was proven he didn’t do it, but he had no alibi, the screwdriver was his, he had opportunity, it was crazy, innocent people do go to prison because of bad police work, and over zealous prosecutors.
This should never have been brought to trial in the 1st place. Highly circumstantial evidence with speculation. Not saying he didn't do it but they did not meet their burden of proof. Also I find it odd that the brother just automatically breaks into her car and finds her in her trunk. So definitely other suspects to explore but of course they had tunnel vision.
So, now he's passed away, and took his secrets with him to his grave. The losers are those poor children. Their mother will never see their own families. It's just too sad for words. Did they ever investigate the mistress? I mean, mistresses can also kill, or conspire with others to kill an obsticle in their way.
The 1st thing her husband says in his interview is "let's get this done...I just wanna go home". REALLY! that's what he's concerned about...going home?!
I think that police department needed and wanted the husband to be guilty and he wasn't. This is how innocent people go to jail for crimes they never committed!!

The daughter would've heard the argument if it was as heated as the prosecutors portrayed it to be. I don't think the prosecution did a good job here. If i were a juror i would have a hard time deciding on a verdict. Some of the prosecutor's statements seem very forced , like they tried to create all these facts to fit their theory. I don't feel sympathy for the guy, but the facts, as stated by the prosecutors, don't convince me of his guilt.

I’m a woman who’s lived alone for over 15yrs and you won’t find one single drop of my blood anywhere in my house. So finding Ramona’s blood drops in so many spots of the house, even after a pro cleaning and evidence disposal (to make his lover feel welcome) definitely looks suspicious to me. The brother goes looking for his sister but not the husband? He has a lover AND a heart condition? Hmmmm. I think he did it but not in the method they described…. The mention of a bedspread but no weapon? Blood in passenger seat + trunk? Why would she being carrying the cash instead of leaving it in trunk? I think the whole family lived in fear of the husband. I don’t think just the affair is enough to destroy his relationship with all of them.
For some reason not having emotions and an affair for investigators are signs of guilt. He is a cold man, but I can’t convict it on that. Their marriage was over, he was having an affair, when he said he wasn’t going to sleep with another woman in the same bed he slept with his wife, I believe he was sincere, he wants his mistress in the house, but not in the same bed. I remember watching this case before and the prosecutor was just not having, his ego was hurt and he wanted convicted someone, even if it was an innocent. There is so much reasonable doubt, can’t convict.

As for getting rid of the bedroom stuff my son, who loved his father dearly burned all of his clothes in a matter of days after his death because it hurt him to see them. He said no one else can have them now. We do all grieve in different ways.

3 separate sets of jurors couldn't find him guilty. His children didn't think he was guilty (of murder, anyway) and after watching this I don't see the guilt either! So let's just say he really didn't do it (not 100% sure on this) think how many more injustices became because of the cops chasing the wrong robber. His life was ruined after this, in many ways. The 'real' killer (s) very well may have killed again. The list goes on. Very sad
I wonder, if the parking lot was the crime scene...did they get all of the evidence around, before they towed the car? Did Jeff have a car, and met her at the parking lot? Otherwise, how would he get back to the house? The state did not provide an answer for that. I agree, too many unconnected dots. I think the police missed some evidence. So sad.

We all grieve differently and we grieve differently for each of those we grieve over. When one of my best friends passed away, I immediately rearranged my furniture in my house. Every room. I have no idea why. He didn't live there. He had his own house. I just felt the need to change the way my rooms looked. Maybe because now, with him not here anymore, it was a change. Maybe I needed to keep changing things because my life was now forever changed with him no longer in my life. I don't know. Just a theory. Maybe that is what the husband was feeling too.
When one friend of my and my ex husband passed, I was sobbing like I was the widow, didn’t manage to go to the wake or funeral, I was a mess. Someone could think something about us, and it was genuine friendship. The guy just turned 39, I was devastated for him and his family. I bet his girlfriend wasn’t crying like me, but so what? We are so different. My personal feelings about this guy is he is a cold person, but that’s all. Can’t say it he is a murderer.

He hired a cleaning crew (made them start in the bedroom), replaced the carpet, painted the walls, and BURNED the headboard.
I live in the greater Cleveland area and remember this case when it happened. Everyone I spoke with about it all felt the husband was guilty, especially other workers from the I-X Center.
Im staying single. So many episodes of husbands murdering their wives instead of divorcing them in court. It's crazy to kill someone as alternative to just breaking up and moving on!😮
Jeff Krotine had some part in his wife's death. That is one extremely cold pissed off dude. I think he was "going to get her" for cheating even though he was cheating also.
It is possible he hired someone to killed her at that location. But he is a cold dude, my gosh. I am not 100% convinced he is behind the murder, one think is sure, he didn’t do it with his own hands, his heart would give it up on him, I suppose.

A previous client of mine lost his wife (she had been terminally sick for a long time). Very quickly he got rid of their bed, dishes that were gifted at their wedding, all her belongings, repainted the house, changed the carpets. He loved her so much, but was grieving and wanted to get rid of everything that made the house remind him of her.
Opposite to that I've known people to loose their spouse and keep everything of theirs exactly where it was, including a toothbrush laying on the bathroom counter.

Tamron Hall is the perfect presenter for this channel. She is professional throughout. This case was so difficult because the husband was so erratic in his testimony. Yes, I understand his wish to clean up the blood stains, but I don't think that would be my reaction. I couldn't continue to sleep in that bed or even the house. I really hope justice arrives for Ramona.

I watch a lot of true crime shows and I’ve come to the conclusion that the main reason, besides corrupted 👮♀️, is that the people to decide someone’s fate is a jury of people such as: Librarian, plumber, Dr, cashier & so on are the ones to judge. Doesn’t make sense! We need professionals that are experts in human behavior & mental health. I say this bc I just have a degree in social work and while watching crime shows it’s BLOWN MY MIND when I’ve heard juror’s discuss behavior of the Defendant that might not make sense to them since they don’t have knowledge of psychology or how trauma can have an effect on someone.
I am waiting for Scott Peterson to get a new trial, because one of the only thing media was worried about the time of Laci’s death, was that he had a mistress, he was a liar and a cheater. The evidences on his case is not much different from this case. I wouldn’t convict someone on feelings.

And didn't he keep secret the fact that he had bought a boat that he took out that day? And didn't he say he had gone to play golf before he had been seen taking the boat out? And wasn't he planning on skipping out with his brothers license, thousands of dollars of cash, gaming gear, burner phones etc? There are so many things that causes one to come to the conclusion that he's guilty. It's going to be interesting to see these things explained away if he does get a new trial. I'm just glad I don't have to decide anyone's fate.
Except psychology really is not an exact science either. You cannot say FACTUALLY a person did something because you believe it could fit into what behavior that particular person may or may not be capable of.
@@chattahuffman5117 there is one case of cold case files, or forensic files that showed to me how you can be telling the truth and some of the so call “circumstantial evidence “ being there to make you look it guilty. This guy gave another guy a ride, then the guy wanted him to drive to an area that he new to be not safe, he said no and asked him to leave his car. He got upset and took it a screw driver that was in the motorist truck and try to stab it him with. The truck owner was able to fled the attacker and didn’t go home, afraid of the guy learning where he lives and try to attack it him again. As he was driving around he sees the guy again, he call the police and tell them what happened. After driving for few minutes, he thought was safe to go home, as he enters his home, he notice something was wrong. The guy he gave a ride, was wondering around and chose a house to break it in, guess what house he chose? The guy who gave him the ride. But it was randomly, he killed the mother of the trucker and who was to say it it wasn’t her son? Because she was stabbed with the screwdriver he took it from his truck at the time of the ride, long story short, he was arrested, he told the story, the police don’t believed him. Later it was proven he didn’t do it, but he had no alibi, the screwdriver was his, he had opportunity, it was crazy, innocent people do go to prison because of bad police work, and over zealous prosecutors.

I have lived in my house for 40 years and there is absolutely no blood in any of my 3 bedrooms.
This should never have been brought to trial in the 1st place. Highly circumstantial evidence with speculation. Not saying he didn't do it but they did not meet their burden of proof. Also I find it odd that the brother just automatically breaks into her car and finds her in her trunk. So definitely other suspects to explore but of course they had tunnel vision.
Always the husband theory, in my opinion, the guy is a jerk, but not a murderer. Waist of money.

Oh man, I have to find this trial to watch. The evidence shown in this episode isn’t super convincing to me.
The daughter would've heard the argument if it was as heated as the prosecutors portrayed it to be. I don't think the prosecution did a good job here. If i were a juror i would have a hard time deciding on a verdict. Some of the prosecutor's statements seem very forced , like they tried to create all these facts to fit their theory. I don't feel sympathy for the guy, but the facts, as stated by the prosecutors, don't convince me of his guilt.

I’m a woman who’s lived alone for over 15yrs and you won’t find one single drop of my blood anywhere in my house. So finding Ramona’s blood drops in so many spots of the house, even after a pro cleaning and evidence disposal (to make his lover feel welcome) definitely looks suspicious to me. The brother goes looking for his sister but not the husband? He has a lover AND a heart condition? Hmmmm. I think he did it but not in the method they described…. The mention of a bedspread but no weapon? Blood in passenger seat + trunk? Why would she being carrying the cash instead of leaving it in trunk? I think the whole family lived in fear of the husband. I don’t think just the affair is enough to destroy his relationship with all of them.

For some reason not having emotions and an affair for investigators are signs of guilt. He is a cold man, but I can’t convict it on that. Their marriage was over, he was having an affair, when he said he wasn’t going to sleep with another woman in the same bed he slept with his wife, I believe he was sincere, he wants his mistress in the house, but not in the same bed. I remember watching this case before and the prosecutor was just not having, his ego was hurt and he wanted convicted someone, even if it was an innocent. There is so much reasonable doubt, can’t convict.

Yeah that entire house would have been covered in blood, if anyone should know that people mourn differently it should be the cops. I usually think circumstantial evidences is great in cases but I’m not sold that the husband did this. I think a lot of the official story is reaching.

I actually don't think he had anything to do with it. I think that affair put him in the spotlight. Should be a lesson for everyone! Affair doesn't equal murder, but since the odds are against you if your significant other winds up dead...just sayin'.
They didn't prove it, the prosecutors, the daughter said she heard nothing, he was found not guilty, so don't waste money on another trial for the husband. It's just the fact that they lost, wanted to win.

I love how they try to give excuses for why this Murderer had little to no emotion. Psychopaths do that. He had no emotion because he saw nothing wrong with killing his wife. It's not Rocket Science that he not only murdered her, but tried to cover it up. One day he will stand before The Ultimate Judge on his Judgement Day. No one gets away with anything. That lady prosecutor was so over the top banging seven times that it just suggests to me that they didn't have enough hard evidence to convict him and knew it. As for getting rid of the bedroom stuff my son, who loved his father dearly burned all of his clothes in a matter of days after his death because it hurt him to see them. He said no one else can have them now. We do all grieve in different ways.

3 separate sets of jurors couldn't find him guilty. His children didn't think he was guilty (of murder, anyway) and after watching this I don't see the guilt either! So let's just say he really didn't do it (not 100% sure on this) think how many more injustices became because of the cops chasing the wrong robber. His life was ruined after this, in many ways. The 'real' killer (s) very well may have killed again. The list goes on. Very sad
I wonder, if the parking lot was the crime scene...did they get all of the evidence around, before they towed the car? Did Jeff have a car, and met her at the parking lot? Otherwise, how would he get back to the house? The state did not provide an answer for that. I agree, too many unconnected dots. I think the police missed some evidence. So sad.
He probably shot her first, then moved her body to the car. Did anyone look for a silencer? Or the daughter is not telling the truth. He might also have had an accomplice at the parking lot.

I don't believe it was the husband and i would have found him not guilty if i was on the jury. I would be taking a closer look at the brother. But they have dna so why aren't they solving this case once and for all. The brothers statement " I felt her body to make sure it was cold" was just weird to me.
