I had the same colour way as you and I love it too. I’m not a jersey dress wearer, too much tummy!!!! The makers atelier have a pattern for a wrap dress which can be made into a top and it looks gorgeous. I can see it being worn with highwaisted jeans❤❤❤. In my head anyway.
Love that fabric - I hear you on the T-shirt - remember twin sets ? What if you make a T-shirt and a lightweight cardigan? Like your own twin set !!

Purple is one of my favorite colors along with navy, bright fuchsia, highlighter orange (basically every color apparently). I received the blue colorway and absolutely love it. If it were up to me to choose I would have chosen purple because I really like purple. However, I found it strange that I’m drawn to the blue colorway more in this print. I love how Andrea’s boxes stretch me outside of my norm and it always ends up well. She’s awesome in everything she does.

I love your idea of a loose T! Then make a matching skirt with a flippy hemline. You can wear the top loose for warm weather, then belt it up when it gets cooler. You’d still have the effect of a dress but the versatility of separates. Look forward to your vlogs! Love from Los Angeles - 💕💕😻

Make the flowwy top you want and then use the rest either for a tank/vest top or color block with a solid for a sleep shirt.

I really enjoyed seeing your excitement at everything you received, Ruan. Looking forward to seeing what you make! I've tried the Mayfair dress in a viscose jersey and thought it worked well. I don't have much of a waist but the gathers and ties made it look like I do 👍

Got my first box this morning and I am loving ❤️ it. My chocolate went straight away, had to have something with my morning coffee😊. I received the very autumnal colourway! And I love it. I'm now signed up for the monthly subscription- pure value for money and can understand your excitement waiting for the postie😅

I made already twice the Appleton dress by Cashmerette in viscose jersey. As it is a wrap dress, the tummy area is under two layers of fabric. What I like, as it smoothes everything so well. You are such a bubbly positive character on your vlogs. Thank you so much for your entertainment.

I love the pins! The chocolate didn’t last long at all 😅. I have the blue colorway, which is beautiful ❤. At first I thought I wasn’t going to like it but I took it out and I thought obviously Andrea knows best 😂. I’m going to make a t-shirt and shorts (pajamas). Enjoy your time with your mom. The purple and the blue fabrics are gorgeous! I received the orange/black one. Not my colors, but it’s going to work with some swishy type of pant for me and hopefully enough to make a fall top for my granddaughter. She’s growing so very quickly that she’ll soon be needing misses patterns! Can’t wait to see what you decide to make with your beautiful fabric! 😘 Sew with joy!

Gorgeous fabric and a perfect selection for you, Ruan! My suggestion would be the Estelle dress by Sew Over It. Didn’t Rachel make that one in a viscose Jersey? It would look lovely with the tie at the middle. Happy sewing! 💜

Hi, great video as always, fabric is gorgeous and would look lovely as the Tustin dress from Itch to Stitch patterns, l , like you, have a tummy, but this dress camouflages it beautifully. Hope you enjoyed your Spa Day with mum.

You could do a co-ord set such as the nayaT-shirt or a long sleeved one and a nice long pencil skirt, that would look great with boots when the weather gets even more chilli 😊 and together they would look like a dress 😊

Hi I can recommend the Butterick 6650 pattern. I’ve made 2 of these now and the waist tie detail hides the mum tum really well. I also sized up and removed the back darts to create a smoother silhouette xx

Think you should copy your lovely rtw dress that you wear all the time. Gorgeous fabric
I think you’re right! And I have the pattern already in my stash that could replicate it 🎉
That fabric is gorgeous. I’m always concerned I won’t like the fabric inside. 🤔 You could make a loose to to go over a skirt. It would cover the tummy area but also give you a top to wear with jeans. I haven’t got a pattern in mind but there are sure to be some. Enjoy your spa treat 🎉
Thank you Ruth - I used to be nervous about the fabrics and whether I'd like them but some of the ones I wasn't too sure about have ended up being my absolute favourites in the end!
@@theyorkshiresewgirl Yes I can see that. All the ones I’ve seen I love. I hope to try it one day. I had another subscription box for 6 months and only liked one fabric. I still have them. I need to take the risk but waiting for my fabric stash to shrink a bit. 😆
That fabric is fab!! If you want to try a new pattern I really enjoy my Rachel Dress from Jalie Patterns but I also like the look of the Pembroke Dress from Cashmerette.

I just made the Venn top from Style Arc in viscose jersey [same fabric as your KIlo wrap dress but green like Rachel's colourway] and love it. You would probably have enough fabric to make a T shirt too. It is gorgeous fabric - I so wanted to get a Think Pink box but they were sold out - so very envious eyes here LOL Hope your afternoon was fab-u-lous. Just went across and managed to get a box woohoo - hope I get the same colour as yours as it is FAB

Wow! That fabric really suits you. I am a bit on the fence with viscose jersey myself (due to the clingyness), but I really like the Friday Pattern Company Westcliff. I think that would work well :) Have a lovely time at the spa!

Viscose Jersey is my fav fabric and I am a plus sized person. I have only made one item that clinged and looked horrible. But it makes a super Love Notions Laundry Day Tee.

I'm sorry you've had a stressful week but that box looks just the thing to relax you. We moved into our new house 6 days ago and haven't had internet or hot water til today. Have you ever had a cold shower? I don't recommend it.

@@theyorkshiresewgirl thank you but today I'm removing all the random 90's baseboards that don't match the original mid-century modern oak baseboards. The painters are coming on Tuesday so I have a lot of prep to do. Things might settle down by the new year 🙄 Have you ever removed baseboards? I don't recommend it. 😂😥

Great video! I have just made a “midaxi” (if that really exists!) by extending the Naya T-shirt. I added long side slits to give it some movement. I used Lady McElroy Herrick viscose jersey and it definitely doesn’t cling to the parts of me that are “thick set” 😂.
