      Actually makes a lot of sense for it to be chambered in that I feel like, good round for a submachine gun, extremely plentiful, both versions are so awesome though.

    7.62x25 Tokarev is DEF one of the most underrated SMG/Pistol rounds in existence...
    -I REALLY WISH more American pistol/firearms makers would take more interest in this cool little cartridge...
    (Im soon to turn/re-chamber ream a new barrel for one of my 40 S&W cal pistols into a 357 SIG w/simple barrel & spring swap)
    -357 SIG is 9x22, a 9mm bullet seated within a bottle-necked 10mm/40 cal brass case. The closest commercially available cartridge we have to a 7.62 TOK- Standard 357 SIG velocities, for instance, a 'Grizzly Corp' 90 grain JHP pushing 1,900 FPS, a standard 357 SIG 124 grain FMJ projectile usually doing 1400/1450 FPS outtve a 4-1/2 inch pistol barrel....
    A 7.62 TOK, 85 grain projectile fired outtve any common 4-3/4 inch PISTOL barrel doing 1,650+ FPS/Feet per second is NOTHING to turn ones nose up at for certain!
    -You'd see even more >>Rapid>> velocity gains outtve a 10" barreled SMG, theres a few ammo manufacturing outfits here in the states that produce specialty -75-80-85-90 grain 7.62 TOK cartridges with faster burning specialty propellants/gun powders, where even faster velocities can be achieved outtve common 5" barreled Semi-Auto pistols, getting close to the 1,800-2,000 FPS velocities!...
    Just simply INSANE really!
    GREAT vid, thanks for sharing!...;)

      Perhaps I would touch on this topic in the future, but for now it is too complicated a topic. And it's not even about the availability of information, it's all right. The problem is visualization. We have practically no good personnel with these weapons at our disposal. However, in the future I plan to get access to these samples, and generally start shooting my own footages for commercials. And then there will be no stopping us!

    • @casperarms
      @casperarms  11 месяцев назад +1

      My sources are what can be called OSINT, although this is too pretentious) Most often I rely on data from sources in Russian. Websites, closed groups, forums, open reports and articles. But the most important thing is that I love military subjects, I know the history and many nuances of the Eastern Bloc weapons well (knowing Russian helps a lot). In fact, I am very surprised that there is so little information about Eastern Bloc weapons in the English-speaking RUclips sector (although there has been a lot of fashion for it in the last 7 years). The reason for this lies in the language barrier. Data in Russia is very scattered, many pieces of information are lost, so it is very difficult to collect them (and even more so, to submit a good video sequence)

    Вобще 7,62×25 пусть и обладал большей пробиваемостью в сравнении с 9×18 или 9×19, убойная сила у него вряд ли была удовлетворительной. Это во время войны главная задача подавить огнем или ранить солдата противника чтобы вывести из строя его самого и пару боевых товарищей что будут помощь оказывать или до укрытия тащить, спецназовцам нужно максимально эффективно и быстро уничтожить террориста, 9×39 в этом плане более соответствует целям.

      Russia was one of the countries that gained independence from the communist regime. I understand that you think that Russia arranged all this and enslaved the rest of the countries. Actually, no, Russia was not the main source of Communists. We know how many Russian soldiers fought against the Communists, no less than people from other occupied countries. Their number is approximately equal if we take a proportional calculation based on the number of the population. In Moscow and other Russian cities, the marches of citizens against the Communists were very large-scale, often much larger than in other republics. It is hard to imagine today, but Russian people came out with "Hands off Lithuania" posters when the Communists tried to suppress people's protests in Lithuania
