Genuinely don't understand how this isn't getting 7 figure views, Rick is such a charming presenter, the recipes are great, genuinely one of the best cooking shows on youtube
I think its the concept of the show. Usually there is a focus on either savory and spicy or sweet dishes. This show is all the inbetweens. Not many will dig those dishes. I think sweet spice would have been a better concept.
OMG Rick its 4 am and this looks SOOO good I'm getting my rusty dusty out of bed and making me some Huevos Rancheros....this just makes me miss my Moms.....
I love watching Rick. Ive always had a bit of imposter syndrome being a Mexican (south texas born and raised) but cant make so many traditional and nuevo Mexican dishes. But it seems like watching him I get this whole "wait a min, i think i can do that" Also he seems like he'd be a blast to hang out with !
Rick! You look so happy, even though you were starving. Your house gets more beautiful every time, your food always makes me want to hurry up and make something to eat!
Thank you for helping me learn how to make some of my ancestry recipes! I wasn't raised with my abuela or anyone really on my dad's side so I'm trying to learn all the things now.
I would totally run away every weekend to live in Uncle Rick’s house and do all his house chores just so he would feed me his delicious recipes and my parents would have to literally drag me away once weekdays come around
Rick! Hell, yes. Good to see you...I SO want to support you guys that left BA WAY more than those who stayed. Ultimately, I just wish they would have treated everyone fairly. But, regardless, you forge forward and I'll do my part by watching :-)
I love the look you’ve given to this show, super Mexican. I’m particularly fond of the spoons and the huge green olla Rick used for the beans. They remind me of my grandmas’ kitchens. 💚🤍❤️
@Edward Szekely, I agree w/ you. I like his style, color, creativity, himself, and his team. I wish I could afford his aprons--they are gorgeous. And I will be making this for my dad today. Happy Father's Day, y'all.😀🎉
I really love this series! My palette also loves a sweet-salty-spicy taste so everything Rick makes looks amazing 😻. Plus, Rick is great! His videos just feel so natural & not pretentious
I watched this video yesterday morning and made it that night for dinner. So simple, yet so overwhelmingly delicious. That aluminum foil in the veg charring pan trick saved my life, I'm pretty sure!
Huevos rancheros is my favourite 'on vacation' breakfast. It is all my favourite flavours in one place. My mouth was watering watching Rick eat his creation. I may have to make this for us this weekend - missing those flavours!!
As a breakfast lover, if I walked into a restaurant and saw someone eating that, I would just be pointing and saying, "Yes please!". That is truly amazing looking, thanks for sharing Rick.
Need a love button lol. Love Rick and his recipes. Tostados are a favourite but never know how to eat them. Fork and knife or just dig in and make a mess!
Lol I love that he addressed his signature nails at the end- I painted mine blue a few weeks ago & when peeling an onion I was like “WHY DOES THIS LOOK FAMILIAR??!!” 😂💙
EVERYTHING you made in this video spoke to my soul! Down to the beautiful jamaica syrup and avocado. Literally perfection and I am so angry that I can’t taste any of it lol
I love the series, the food and you most of all, Rick!! I wish it was more frequent, but I love the episodes and the whole feel of the show. Also, love the bits with the pup!!
I love this series! Rick is such a wholesome guy and his recipes are so inspiring. I went staight to amazon and bought hibiscus flowers right away :D Looking forward to seeing more and more of Rick!
Rick always making me hungry even though I just had dinner. My favorite thing is retrying beans and mixing it with chorizo. Retried Ben’s ns chorizo on a corn tortilla is so money.
I WILL make this dish!!! I love huevos rancheros and all of your ingredient list. As always, GREAT instruction and display of techniques. It might take me a bit to source the hibiscus flowers, though ... and good chorizo ( I sometimes make my own ...) ... but thank you again, Rick and all of your crew!!
I had no idea other cultures used hibiscus to make drinks, in Nigeria we use roselles, a species of hibiscus to make a drink called zobo. It's spicy but refreshing.
If he cooked them the classic Mexican way, he let them cook for hours and also added some epazote, onion, and maybe some garlic. My mom and grandma always cooked black beans that way.
I am going to make this! I have everything for it already. Also just want to say that I've never stopped watching any of you... Claire, Brad, Sohla, Carla, etc. you're all fantastic. We gotta get past this COVID horror and get you back in NY, NY!
Okay this seems super doable, and I appreciate that we could do some swaps to make the process a bit quicker (canned beans, premade tostadas). Can't wait to try this out!!
Or pressure cooker beans or make them on the weekend while you do something else - they are SOOOOOOOOOOOOO much better! I thought I didn't like beans before I started making homemade beans with fresh dried beans.
I never had meat chorizo (gringa here), but Trader Joe's has a delicious one that is made by a company that specializes in meat chorizo. Sometimes in Walmart there is vegan chorizo next to the meat chorizo from the same brand and that is good too. Both do have some oil which helps all those flavors develop, but nothing close to what Rick's chorizo has here.
Oh and Thank You Rick for Explaining About Your Nails. Because Early On In The Video I did Ask, “Hey Rick where are Your Lovely Nails That I Love SOooo Much? LOL 😝
Genuinely don't understand how this isn't getting 7 figure views, Rick is such a charming presenter, the recipes are great, genuinely one of the best cooking shows on youtube
He was always my BA favorite
I think its the concept of the show. Usually there is a focus on either savory and spicy or sweet dishes. This show is all the inbetweens. Not many will dig those dishes. I think sweet spice would have been a better concept.
Totally agree.
Check out his show on the BCU, Pruébalo.
It's Rick at his best.
Ahh yes another episode of ‘Rick Living His Best Life’ I love it!
Right? I'm enraptured by Rick's Mazatlan glow-up. We should all be so lucky.
I adore that Rick is inviting Misael to taste everything as well
I'm glad you mentioned your nails. I miss them! The huevos rancheros look amazing.

Also he seems like he'd be a blast to hang out with !

this show is a home run every time
I’m a retired chef….. I love your channel! So glad I found it!
Actually got excited when Rick mentioned getting his nails done again. Love this man.
Thank you for helping me learn how to make some of my ancestry recipes! I wasn't raised with my abuela or anyone really on my dad's side so I'm trying to learn all the things now.
Omg. Rick would be the coolest uncle ever. I'd totally be at his house every weekend doing his dishes for some of the amazing food he cooks.
Same.
I would totally run away every weekend to live in Uncle Rick’s house and do all his house chores just so he would feed me his delicious recipes and my parents would have to literally drag me away once weekdays come around
Not only does the food in this series look amazing but the music with the heartbeat rhythm makes me so pumped to watch
Rick's videos feel like being invited to a meal with that friend who is effortlessly fabulous. Loved the pics of his family, too .
Homie is living his best life and it shows. Awesome!
OMG, yes! A new video from Rick AND Claire AND Gaby, all on the same day!!!
Sohlae too! Just saw it... they are totally filling my heart with joy!
Should mention that Sohlae’s video post is not on her channel, on another one.
And Carla posted one too featuring Sohla!!!
More Family pictures and history. Adds a nice personal touch to his food show.. After all that's the center of any family gathering.
Rick! Hell, yes. Good to see you...I SO want to support you guys that left BA WAY more than those who stayed. Ultimately, I just wish they would have treated everyone fairly. But, regardless, you forge forward and I'll do my part by watching :-)
Rick, watching you cook is the best form of escapism for me
Rick’s plating skills are 💯
seeing a food52 notif for a rick video? an INSTANT pick me up!!
So glad to know I’m not the only one who can’t wait to finish a recipe to start eating 😂
I love the look you’ve given to this show, super Mexican. I’m particularly fond of the spoons and the huge green olla Rick used for the beans. They remind me of my grandmas’ kitchens. 💚🤍❤️
I've just discovered this series and I am obsessed
@Edward Szekely, I agree w/ you. I like his style, color, creativity, himself, and his team. I wish I could afford his aprons--they are gorgeous. And I will be making this for my dad today. Happy Father's Day, y'all.😀🎉
Great recipes! I look forward to seeing Rick’s blue nails again (or whatever color he chooses)! 💅
Why am I getting deja vu from this dish? I like I swear I've seen Rick make this before... but whatever. Time to watch him again!
A cocktail with breakfast...yes please. We need more Rick on here.
I really love this series! My palette also loves a sweet-salty-spicy taste so everything Rick makes looks amazing 😻. Plus, Rick is great! His videos just feel so natural & not pretentious
Your food looks delicious and your aprons are all amazing!
Can I just say, this recipe made me salivate. I'd have to tone down the heat in the salsa but the whole thing looks amazing.
My mom taught me to make these from scratch during the pandemic. Great breakfast dish.
Love yah Rick! Yummy again!
Rick Martinez is a treasure, it's always a treat to catch his videos!
I love beans so much!!! I'm glad I'm not the only one!
I love you and your beautiful food, Rick! Looking forward to your new nails AND cookbook!!!
I've always loved the music he puts in his videos! Please never change it!!
Here just to say I love Rick and everything looks so GOOD
I watched this video yesterday morning and made it that night for dinner. So simple, yet so overwhelmingly delicious. That aluminum foil in the veg charring pan trick saved my life, I'm pretty sure!
I loooove the "sweet" being drink recipes, Rick is always making me crave summer cocktail season
Huevos rancheros is my favourite 'on vacation' breakfast. It is all my favourite flavours in one place. My mouth was watering watching Rick eat his creation. I may have to make this for us this weekend - missing those flavours!!
Oh, I've missed you! I haven't really watched any cooking segments since corona started. Can't wait to see your nails!
I love the Dad, Granddad bean history & of course, watching you dig in. 👍👍
As a breakfast lover, if I walked into a restaurant and saw someone eating that, I would just be pointing and saying, "Yes please!". That is truly amazing looking, thanks for sharing Rick.
Rick is now the only thing I thank BA for. Well, and Carla.
Rick Martinez is the coolest person to ever person
Rick eating breakfast while cooking breakfast is extremely relatable to me

Huevos rancheros are one of my all-time favorites and these look dope AF.
Even that ice cube looked delicious.
EVERYTHING you made in this video spoke to my soul! Down to the beautiful jamaica syrup and avocado. Literally perfection and I am so angry that I can’t taste any of it lol
I LOVE THIS RECIPE!🥲 Totally making this this weekend for brunch 😋🥰😄. Thanks Rick! Also I now know what kind of nails to get 🙌, sweet!

Great rustic style of making a savory & tasty Mexican dish. Bravo! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
I love the series, the food and you most of all, Rick!! I wish it was more frequent, but I love the episodes and the whole feel of the show. Also, love the bits with the pup!!
I wish I wasn’t watching this at 10 pm!!! Mouth watering
Eating while cooking is so real. Cooking is work and it can burn a lot of energy. I love it!
Best apron drip in the game.
I think I was drooling for this entire video this looks SO delicious!!!
I love this series! Rick is such a wholesome guy and his recipes are so inspiring. I went staight to amazon and bought hibiscus flowers right away :D Looking forward to seeing more and more of Rick!

Toddler Rick is such a cutie!!!! Nothing has changed! LOL!
💗❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🖤🤍🤎
Goddess, what a cozy thing to do on a Wednesday, watch Rick Martinez do his thing. Seriously 😳.
I had no idea other cultures used hibiscus to make drinks, in Nigeria we use roselles, a species of hibiscus to make a drink called zobo. It's spicy but refreshing.
Please show us how you make beans! I'd love to know your tips.
He is glorious in Mexico. If he wanted to be in NY, don't you think he'd be there?
Okay this seems super doable, and I appreciate that we could do some swaps to make the process a bit quicker (canned beans, premade tostadas). Can't wait to try this out!!
Or pressure cooker beans or make them on the weekend while you do something else - they are SOOOOOOOOOOOOO much better! I thought I didn't like beans before I started making homemade beans with fresh dried beans.
My mouth is watering now🤤 This is the kinda food I crave now and forever, since I’m vegetarian and never had good veggie chorizo.
You can buy chorizo spice mix online. It works pretty well with crushed, crumbled tofu actually
Amazing! Great sound work!
Am not much a breakfast person but I will definitely be making this for dinner.
That looks insanely flavorful 🤤 I am huuuuungry! Yum yum
This looks absolutely glorious
OMG! That looks amazing! My mouth is watering. (Love the apron!)
Oh and Thank You Rick for Explaining About Your Nails. Because Early On In The Video I did Ask, “Hey Rick where are Your Lovely Nails That I Love SOooo Much? LOL 😝
Those tomatoes, in the beginning, look phenomenal. My goodness.
I came here from Babish.. I absolutely love your charm!

I can not WAIT to make this!
Love you, Rick!
Love Huevos ranchero so delicious 😋🤤🎈👍🏽
Rick I Love You🥰. I Truly Appreciate Your Tips👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
