- This video is not supposed to have any views on either side. These videos were shot for a personal project requiring them to be shot the way they were, and I put them up for RUclips's enjoyment.
A front seat POV on the Tomorrowland Transit Authority at the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World.
i loved this one..felt great after walking around all day...it didn't feel like a 10 min ride to me.
Remember Blue Line passengers, for all your future travel needs, the TTA services all of Tomorrowland's outlining areas, including the personal rocket ship docking lot, and of course, Perfect Park Acres, the latest in hover-berg community!
I used to hear that every other minute when I worked the restrooms near Space Mountain. Good ol custodial days. That will forever be permanently engraved in my memory.
This was like the Eastern Airlines ride "If you had wings"..great for relaxing and cooling off...GREAT vid!

Thanks for posting this video. I love this ride so much. And no, the ride isn't closed in Disney World. It did have temporarily suspended service during the refurbs of Space Mountain (since you go inside the mountain) but it is currently open.
I wish they would bring back this narration Far better than the new one

I always loved this ride because its so calm and relaxing and smooth. I could just sit and ride it for hours if I had the time. Its been many years since I last visited a Disney Theme park. Watching this video of this ride made me feel like I was there again. Thank you for sharing this.
I loved riding this as a kid. When ever my mom and dad and older sister road Space mountain me snd my grandmal would ride this as we waited. I miss the old voice over it really made you feel like you were on a tourguide in the future. Pageing mr morrow mr tom morrow. Classic

One of the best and classic rides in the park, however I still call it "The Wedway People Mover"...just can't call it the Tomorrowland Transit Authority". Definitely have to ride it both day and night, so you don't miss all those fabulous Disney colors and lights!
I love this ride!! It's so relaxing and scenic and it never has a long line. And, no offense to anyone who tells you that you should have looked around more, Get a life! I think it is nice that you took the initiative to make this vid for die-hard Disney fans such as myself :)

There's something about the PeopleMover that I just love! It provides a nice breather from the more hectic rides.
i miss the old voice. they changed it but the Old voice was such a CLASSIC. I memorized everythiung they said and grew up my whole life with that voice. i miss it.

Great video of a classic ride! In fact, this was the ride that made the biggest impression on me the first time we went to Disney back when I was in 5th grade. Thanks for posting. It would have been better if you would have turned the camera to the sides, though. JUST KIDDING! hehehehe....

Thank you for posting this. I can't wait to finally ride this when I go to Disney World, for the first time, this August. It will be like riding the original Peoplemover Disneyland use to have; but I was still a child and can't remember what it was like.
its a ride where you can have a sit down and just relax for abit, its great(: i love it.

The first time i had been on that ride, we went through space mountain and it was broken down! All the lights were on and you could see the ride properly. ITS SO DAMN CRAMPED!!! Preety cool thou :D
Hey, thanks for the trip down memory lane. It'll always be the WEDway People Mover to me though. For some reason this is such a simple ride but I would always look forward to riding it.

i loved the many speakers on the ceiling on this ride. i see towards the end you got ahead of the sections of audio feeds.
Wow, when the music from Space Mountain came on, it felt like I knew the whole thing...even though it's been about five years since I've been to WDW! Thanks for making my day :)
This is in the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World. Disneyland's doesn't run because there isn't one anymore to run even if they wanted to. The Peoplemover closed in 95, became the Rocket Rods in 98, which closed in 2000 for a refurb and officially closed in 2001. Track sat empty ever since, although if rumors are to be believed there is a new project being worked on by WDI.
(I'm sure they've had plans for a long time that just never got the green-light)
i love this ride! its a neat ride and it's also a nice way to cool off
The new lighting effects are cool and the space mountain upgrades are great but I really love the old narration maybe its just the nostalgic in me...
The Peoplemover was always called some variation of that in California (WEDway Peoplemover and the like), whereas Walt Disney World's WEDway Peoplemover became the Tomorrowland Transit Authority in 1994.

When ever i was in Tomorrow Land it kind of made me think of 2015 Hill Valley from Back to the Future 2.

Actually, the TTA will open a couple of months before space mountain re-opens.
Don't people realize the new narration is like the one used before 1994? I like it it adds a little retro feel to Tomorrowland.

sadly this was closed when i visited this past april :( i remember last time i went in 97 we were standing around below resting or eating ice cream and we kept hearing "Now approaching the tomorrowland interplanetary convention center. The convention center...." over and over ahead....got stuck in my head. :)

It's a decent ride to get off your feet and chill for a few....
I going to Disney in 5 weeks! We havnt been in almost 2 1/2 years and we are taking our daughter for her first trip! We can't wait to bring her on the TTA.

They need to do something for the track at Disneyland here in southern california. I mean, the track is just sitting there, rusting away, old, and beat up and they're not doing anything about it. I mean, I remember taking the Peoplemover before it closed in 1994, I didn't take Rocket Rods, but I did hear that it was only in operation for one year, 2000-2001, and then they shut it down. 10 years later, the track is just sitting there in tomorrowland unused. The station's still good though.

When I went to Disney World in '94, it poured one of the days that we were there, so we rode this thing for a good hour. I remember going through the store and Space Mountain, but the Buzz Lightyear Ride was there yet, so I don't remember what you went through in lieu of that.
Cool view. Usually I always look to the side. So having a set view straight on, is cool.
This ride like never has a long line because people are too busy riding buzz lightyear or space mountain. It runs all over tomorrowland and people rarely notice it.
Idea for updating this ride: turn it into a real life Personal Rapid Transit system with two (or three, if you're daring) stations, with pod cars and everything.

On my last trip to WDW - MK, I was on that ride going through Space Mountain when the SM ride had a problem and temp shut the ride down (SM ride) The interior lights were on so I could really see the SM track..
It is a good cool down ride. Always good for when you feet hurt.
How did you film this, did you use a tripod? Also do you think the TTA wil be closed throughout the Space Mountain Referb? I hope not because it will be really cool to see them working on Space Mountain. Do you agree?
I came back from disney 2 days ago and me and my friends and i when on this ride because space mouton ps im a bad speller and there was this guy in front of us and we keep yelling at the peps and hi-5ing the peps that come by us it was fun!!

yea. it's just a regular ride that tours tomorrowland and extras from it.

That's funny, every time I go to Disney World, Big Thunder Mountain's closed for repairs. I've been going there since I was 10 and I have never gotten to ride Big Thunder Mountain ;;
No. They changed it to Rocket Rods a while back, and that was a VERY short lived attraction. Not as much charm as the people mover, and from what I heard, it came off the tracks and got all wonky a lot. Now all we have is the track.

It will be closed until at least July-August according to castmembers, while Space Mountain will be closed until late fall. They told me this 3 weeks ago while I was there. I got to ride the final night!!!
Ahhh I forgot that had hills. When I saw their comment I was like "I go on this all the time, how could I miss hills?"

June 30th is pushing it. WDW estimates are usually correct & they say at least July for TTA. Bu the last day for BOTH already passed - it was April 18th : (

@funkycheerios While it is now back to being called the PeopleMover (technically the full name is the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover), when this was shot & uploaded it was still just called the Tomorrowland Transit Authority.
Great video shot with imagination and ideas. Please don't listen to the naysayers and doomsday prophets, yours is the best video of the TTA done in a long time.

i have always been so confused on what exactly the tta is..... what is it? is it like the people mover? did they take it away? sorry i am so clueless:P
Not quite what I'm going for, but close. Its going to be a single video taking up the full frame, and when it comes time to look in another direction it will cut there, and then cut back to the forward view afterward. I do have a completed multi-angle video of the Enchanted Tiki Room in Disneyland...if I can find that, I'll post it to show what I'm going for.
