    I rode Nova and Nova pro back to back and can confirm everything they said is 100% accurate. It’s a great wing, better than Nova in many aspects but the differences are subtle and I do agree that advanced riders will appreciate it more. Obviously the highlight is the shiftlock system as well as the new shape of the grip on the handles, it just feels soooo good in your hands:)

    Another great review, thanks again guys been watching your stuff for sometime. Looking for a recommendation to replace the following. Intermediate/adv rider 80kgs. 50/50 wave riding and going fast is something I enjoy, boosting up wind etc. I've got a couple 23 novas 4.2/5 a 23 unit 3.5, predominately I'm only ever out in 13-30+ knots. Gusty in the higher wind range here. Ride the 4.2 the most due to the conditions here. I'm "thinking" 3.5 Ultra for 23 knots+ ,4.2 mode pro for 16-25 knots & a Nova pro 5m for the low end getting up if I'm not going to get going on the 4.2. (have a 6.1 xps but hardly gets used). What do you think about that 3 wing north combo?

      Yes, those would be good choices. The Ozone Flux is another good one. As is the Duotone Slick.

    Hi guys, thanks for the reviews.
    How does this Nova Pro compare to the Slick SLS for a mix of waveriding and flatwater speed? I like speed and power, but also want a playful wing. I've done a few sessions with the Mode Pro 5.5 which in my opinion was great for freeride and speed, but not that well suited in waves. Since there's no Slick SLS anymore, I'm looking at other brands using better materials without the Aluula price tag.

      The Nova Pro is better suited for waves than the Mode in my opinion. Compared to the Slick SLS it has more low end range but it's slightly heavier. The N-weave 45 is the best priced high performance fabric out there, hands down.

    Hi, I have a question about the regular Nova V3 vs Nova V4.
    I currently have a V3 in size 4.2 and a V2 in 2.9m. I want to fill the gap below the 4.2 (V3) and thought of getting a 3.5 (V3) but these are getting out of stock. So I looked at the V4 3.5m, only to find that it actually has the same wind range as my V3 4.2m. And to get the next step I should take the V4 2.9m to match the V3 4.2m.
    Can you confirm this is correct? In other words the V4 deliver same performance for a V3 one size bigger?
    Hope you can still follow me 😅

    hi guys how are you? nice review,i want to upgrade my quiver and looking for something more solid but with no going crazy $ (alulla) I'm looking into get a boom wing,so i'm between duotone slick 2024 or nova pro , what do you recomend. I'm in a spitfire 1100 ,82mast, 80l boards and ranging wind usually around 12knts, thank you very much, keep it up!!

    • @MACkiteboarding
      @MACkiteboarding  8 месяцев назад +2

      For your situation, I'd suggest the Nova Pro. You gain that material upgrade and good low speed grunt for an affordable price. The Slick is amazing as well but you'll have a hearty price tag for the upgrade to Aluula. -Tucker

    Bought the 6m nova pro. But where should the boom be placed? I put it all the way forward. Maybe that was wrong. 🤔

    • @MACkiteboarding
      @MACkiteboarding  7 месяцев назад +1

      I put it in full forward position as well. The indicators on the strut show you the typical hand position so as long as you are within that, it's personal preference. All the way forward does make it easier to transition to the leading edge and lightens the back part of the wing for luffing performance. -Tucker

    I just got the old mode 7m (coming from old nova v2) - went out in 12 which blew up to about 20ish and was able to manage. Now looking at smaller wings (4/5) between nova, and mode - leaning to mode pro as it's gusty here. Would be interested in a comparison with the ozone flux...

    • @MACkiteboarding
      @MACkiteboarding  7 месяцев назад +1

      Flux is a little lighter, Mode Pro has a little more top end range, VMG, and upwind ability. -Tucker

    Thanks for the review guys, for an intermediate lightweight rider would you have a 5 m nova pro or a 2024 duotone unit ?

    • @MACkiteboarding
      @MACkiteboarding  7 месяцев назад

      Either one will be excellent but the Nova Pro does have a little more top end range. -Tucker

    Hi do you find the weight of the nova pro
    An issue compared to other lighter wings like slicks etc

    • @MACkiteboarding
      @MACkiteboarding  3 месяца назад

      I do not as long as it's got a proper wind for it's size. If it's too light to ride, you'll feel the weight more.

    When is slingwing v4 review?

    The 2023 Nova had a massive amount of down pressure in tacks, does the nova pro suffer the same issue?

    • @tuckermackite7346
      @tuckermackite7346 8 месяцев назад +1

      I'd say average. Any wing with a lot of lift will have some down pressure into the wind. If you want to avoid that I'd suggest a forward pulling model such as the Mode Pro. -Tucker

    I can tack with 5.5 m2 Mode & Mode Pro, 4.2 m2 Mode, and 4.0 m2 F-one V2 pretty well, but NOT with 5.0 m2 Nova (2022) 😒😑.. Hope Nova Pro is so much better than Nova. I am also a bit torn between Mode Pro 4.8 m2 and Nova Pro 5 m2 😅

      Sorry to disappoint. We ended up having to re-shoot it because my footage got corrupted. Made sense to tag team it with Jeff since he had some good insights on this wing as well. If you are craving some rooster sounds, I have some in the live AFS video we did yesterday -Tucker
