  • The Eyewitness to History video library was created to enable audiences everywhere to hear firsthand testimony from Holocaust survivors. This video was recorded on August 4, 2021. It features Rachel (Rae) Mutterperl Goldfarb, who was born in Dokszyce, Poland, in 1930. Rae and her family were forced to live in a ghetto before escaping and going into hiding with Gentiles. After her brother was denounced and killed, Rae and her mother joined a group of partisan fighters with whom they remained until liberation in 1944.

Thank you so much for sharing this very difficult testimony of the pain you and your people endured. I am forever grateful for that information and pray that we can learn about man’s humanity to man. Lord have mercy. May we learn from the past and never forget the pain caused by hate.God bless all who share their stories so we may learn.

My husband's great grandmother, smuggled, his grandma in a suitcase. They lost people but I didn't really understand what the Jewish people had gone through. I'm 71 years old and if it weren't for these stories, no one ever wants to know and that is also tragic.

Dear Rae.... Thank you for sharing your unbelievable, terrible story. It is unthinkable what your courageous mom went through and survived in these ways. And you of course too... You appear so powerful and so well expressing yourself, all these memories... Sending you much love. Am Jisrael Chai.

This is so inspirational-that people can survive and fight back against so much hate and fear. There is hope , we are all human whatever identification is used, division is manipulation.

Thank you so much, Rae. My heart breaks hearing your story and others like it. You are a very brave, brave soul and I pray you find JESUS as your MESSIAH AND HEALER of broken hearts soon. We have two adult children who have died and are with HIM and we know we will see them one day and know that children who are not able to know HIM for themselves, not at the age o f accountability go directly to JESUS when they die and I believe I will see your brother also one day..... Please consider JESUS to be your SAVIOR......Just ask HIM to help you know HIM if you don't as yet. In HIS HEALING NAME,. Margie
