@@paulcomptonpdphotography Thanks mate
welcome
Great video paul, I have been eyeing up this walking stick/ tripod for a little while now, would love to hear your update thouhgts on it, how does it work for stability if doing long exposures?
These are really good, i am off to Mallorca next week and ill be using these to save space in packing
@ that’s great to hear, do you know if the metal tips on the bottom are replaceable at all? Hope you have a great holiday too!
this is my main issue with them, i dont think they are..
@ ah that’s so annoying, feels like such a big oversight on a product like this
Maybe yer.
Nice idea and like you I thought of it years ago and did nothing about it. I have several walking pole and monopod versions. Apart from the damaged ends, another improvement would be to improve the straps. When used correctly, the straps are wrapped around the wrist to assist the support from the pole. Those straps are the ones that look as though would cut into the flesh after a while.
Thanks for sharing, yes agree straps are not in the right place, and yes needs better tips on the bottom... BUT its getting there..
Love the idea!!! How many times tripod was used as a walking / balance pole when out and about?!
exactly!! that's the whole point! carry lass and do more! even tough my bag is always full and heavy!! haha I am glad you loved the idea!

Hi, is the ball head arca swiss compatible? Great idea but always have l bracket on all bodies.
it sure is yes try code Paul10 for 10% off
It is plus you can add your own head. I just bought the kit. I haven't used it yet, but I may end changing the head.
How did you get on??
That looks like a very useful product, Paul. Take care mate.
I love it
Great information on this video Paul.
Well done.
Many thanks!
It is a very interesting concept. My question is what do you do with the extra hiking pole? Most people only have 2 hands to hold the poles when hiking, so would use, at most, 2 of the poles at one time. I guess you answered the question, though it does seem to be a somewhat awkward arrangement.
I've yet to get myself some hiking poles, but often do use my tripod as one in certain situations.
Simple you put the other on your pack, or let a friend carry it up the hill... Lets face it you are right you only have two hands but i have found over the years two legged tripods dont work very well, so it has to have three.. the idea to take off all three is to give you a mini tripod and also a selfie stick haha..
best as all three compressed to make one walking stick
100%
What a terrific piece of kit. Wow Paul, you look like you have lost quite a bit of weight.
I have lost a bit yer... its a great tripod code Paul10 if you buy one haha
👏👏👏
thanks
It is a great idea . A bit surprised took this long to make one I have one of those coffee mugs they are great keeps drinks really hot for a long time .sometimes too hot when first have a drink .
The contigo cup is a MUST HAVE
Nice peace of kit just as I’ve bought a new tripod 🥴 how’s mrs c is she not doing videos now ?
No mate not a story for on here... its an great tripod..
Seems to be a cool thing. Curious what you say about it in 12 months from now… 😜 sometimes such Gadgets have a strange fascination that fades away quickly…
i have to agree with you, i am more interested in how other companies will take the idea, a full size tripod that has other uses would be good... if you could just take two legs off and have a way to protect your hands and the spikes well !!!!
Well done infomercial Paul. I was just waiting for you to say "..but wait, if you order now you also get..." or "...operators are standing buy to take your orders...". In all seriousness, it looks to flimsy, fragile and fiddly, as well as too short to be worthwhile. Time will tell. If we actually see you using it in the field in future videos maybe my opinion will change.
Ok so yes 100% dont trust it in wind or dont use it for your main walking poles if you hike miles... but if you are after poles and a tripod and you have to keep the weight down the 100% this is the one... i will defo be using it when i dont need a heavy tripod and lets face it having this rather than none is 1005 better... its quick strong for what it is...
@@paulcomptonpdphotography Thanks for the reply Paul. Looking forward to more of your excellent photography videos. I especially liked the one of Milan 2w ago. So interesting how you used different camera angles when shooting the architecture and the cemetery monuments.
I love to play with my camera, not an expert but do enjoy it
@@paulcomptonpdphotography Yup, it means I'll carry a tripod when I hike now. Something I didn't do most of the time because of weight. The added weight in your bag is now pretty negligible since I like to hike with sticks anyway. 5KG will hold my A7R V with the 100-400 lens mounted. Heck even the 200-600 and the A7R V is under 5KG though it seems heavier 😐
I hear you!!! Evertime I am putting my bag on I keep wondering why this is so heavy!! :)
Does Mrs c not do photography/vlogs anymore
You will have to ask her mate sorry...
@paulcomptonpdphotography oh sorry I did not mean to be rude
Not at all, just life plays tricks on us sometimes. Anyway, I hope you are well!!
Pretty sure Novoflex made something similar a few years ago?
My previous post seems to have been deleted (maybe because I included a link to the Novoflex website), but Novoflex still make walking poles that integrate into their modular tripod system.
find me a link want to see it please
oh maybe its held back ill have a look.. youtube stop spam
@@paulcomptonpdphotography listed on Novoflex website
ill have a look see
That looks so much hassle bits geting lost lol be easier with a small travel tripod
How can ease come into play if you dont have room in your bag for both and you cant carry both up a hill. ill take a bit of fiddle if it means i get tripod and poles haha
Looks ridiculously fiddly and slow… 🤔
Not at all...
@@paulcomptonpdphotography I have it and I concur that it's very easy. I do worry that I'll lose those parts though!
Yeah I get it ... been using mine for quote some time, still got all the bits :)
