its just like: HELP HELP!! man walks in like micheal jackson to a childrens hospital. "Hi, i am prepared and on standby for any medical emergency and also i dont sleep. lady: okay.
There are things that he is doing that would never be done. Never lean over the patient and also when doing the recovery position you would roll them towards you rather than away from you. Plus you would talk to the patient about what you are doing regardless of them being conscious or not
as well as when patting them down you would use the backs of your hand rather than the palm of your hand. This video has a lot of things not to do in it
When it's someone you know you can role towards, someone you don't know you role away. You don't know if they are agressive and being female they will be less overwhelmed
You do not need to talk to them if they are unconscious because it is life or death so for the good samaritan act, you are required to do what you are trained in.
Cool video but it didn't teach me jacks... What are you feeling for with "circulation" as in like if she's cold at places? Or if she's bleeding? I don't understand it if you don't say a single word...
@@alexandraasbury9974 I was just being polite, I did more reaserch on the video, if you want to clearly learn watch more videos, read books. Do more reaserch, 😭bro I'm in medical school now can't belive I learn from videos like this :)
I understand that this is just an explanatory video, but I think this is not the best course of action at all. First thing first when you arrive at the scene you have no clear indication of how long the patient has been unconscious. In the video, from the time you arrive on the scene to the time you check for vital signs, more than three precious minutes pass and are therefore wasted. By the time you realize she is not breathing her brain is already damaged due to prolonged oxigen deprivation. The FIRST thing you want to do after you call for emergency professionals is asses if the patient is breathing and if there is a pulse, if not you must start CPR immediately (and artificial ventilation if you have an AMBU ballon with you). It makes no sense to asses the situation like you did, you just wasted her last few minutes.
Arrived to the scene at 0:13, checked breathing at 0:55. 42 seconds to assess the scene, put on PPE, check responsiveness, and activate EMS isn't that bad. Not sure where you're getting 3 minutes from? Also lets not forget that this video is a demonstration, its meant for people to learn, and may not rush through steps that an experienced first aider could complete more quickly in a real scenario.
@@Heavyw8hank Keep in mind that in some cases the heartbeat may be very faint and difficult to read, that is why they suggest to check if his chest moves up and down and to hear if he's breathing. One less precise alternative may be to use a metal surface like a spoon and place it very close in front of the person's mouth or nose, if he is breathing you should see some condensation on the metal.
Primary assessment not well performed !! •Response are not well checked •putting in recovery position done in a wrong way( special the hand and the leg is in wrong position and the first Aider also)
Riley really looked at the unconscious victim and asked her "im trained in first aid can i help you?" LOL

3:34 Cuddle the patient.

Not necessarily true or required for basic first aid

You don’t have to talk to the unconscious patient 🤦♂️

physical abnormalities, blood and pain responses
ditto!!
these are so helpful thank you!
In what way did this help you?
So is she breathing? Is there a pulse? CPR?
I don’t see any CPR, so probably yes to breathing and pulse.
Thanks for the videos
Honestly, what did you learn? I'd like to know what I missed.

So many sloppy skills.
What's is up with her
Maybe a diabetic coma? IDNK but he didn't seem to accomplish much that I can see.
Seriously, why's he feeling her arms, legs, and sides....? What's he looking for?
Circulation. You can see he was going over the arteries.
Head to toe examination
@@mugpotatoe Seriously?
I see you ARE serious. OK, I hope that IS the case. Otherwise, he'd be wasting his time and ours.
This guy is basically just taking the opportunity to feel her up.
Haha but, no, that's not so. But I don't know what he was looking for.
@@alexandraasbury9974 It was a circulation check. He was looking for bleeding.
@@nelsonroy4157 OK, I am glad to now know that. Thank you!!
