Not the fastest of my jets, but by far the easiest to fly!
Greg we got 90 mph level with the gear on and 97 mph gear off level with the Dynamite GPS module. Key is we used a light pack (2200) and we went farther out and did a much longer run to give it a chance to get on step and accelerate to full speed. Also air density will affect speeds too. I've tested my Habu 32X several times. we've got 142 to 155 depending on the day. Actually got that one to 170m in a dive! (8s)
Oh yes I knew the speeds would not be great given my Battery size and the gear , but not bad with heavy packs and the gear on. Thanks adam!
You should try without the gear too !
I will
I have the 70mm which uses a 6 cell. You make a good point I had a discussion with someone who wanted a jet as a first plane. After 5 min on a simulator with a trainer he quickly changed his mind.
Yes so many buy planes based upon coolness and looks. Of course that is natural but it often leads to rc heartache.
Great test! I love that GNSS module. I have used it in the past.
I recently bought the Habu SS 50 and with the SkyID it hits 78-79mph. Probably about right as the FMS F-18 64mm hits about 82-86mph depending on the wind. Both without landing gear.
I am glad you are enjoying your new jet!
@@FatGuyFliesRC I'd love the Viper 64 too. But got the Futura and F-18 in 64mm so probably should look at a 70 or 80. What do you think would be the best larger jet with retracts?
@@Stirling_RC_Videos Take a look at the E-Flite Viper 70mm.
Yeah level flight will get the faster speed. Because vertical dive won’t register as fast since analyzer only measures horizontal distance covered. But if you dive and then hit vertical like that you’ll get higher speed. 👍🏻
That’s a good point.
can you show us how to do the afterburner when you put it in and where you got it from?
It is from KM Models and here is the video on how. ruclips.net/video/pp8-UjK1SS4/видео.html
@ just emailed them to see if there post to the uk
I really like how this edf flies! Very responsive and smooth. I’m good with how fast this can go. What is the average speed for these 64mm jets?
Id say about 85mph.
Dear FGFRC....I purchased the FMS integral and I followed all your recommentations last December...Yesterday morning was the maiden flight, and it flyed incredible well. Thank You!!! but this is the first time I feel comfortable flying a jet..It was not easy...It was a long time process...If I decide purchase another jet I would like to have a one very similar to integral, mainly to have the capability to slow flight, forgiving and not having to purchase a gyro, high power, grass operation, same 4000 mah batteries....As the integral capabilities..which one would you recommend to me?
Any Avanti s I highly recommend the FMS Avanti s 70mm or the FW Avanti S 80mm but kept the flights to 3 minutes if you don't have any 5k lipos. Another good choice is the Eflite Viper 70mm.
Hi are you buying the freewing sr-71 ??
No my strip is way to short for it.
Shame would like to have see that☹️
Would you like whole wheat or white bread for all that butter? 😂
Wheat please...lol
