In an industry filled with absolute crap, thank you for creating such a fantastic product. Well done, everyone. You should be very, very proud of what you’re creating.
Amen to that !
We just placed our deposit last week! We are patiently awaiting the day we hook up to our new 21NE and bring it home. I saw this video before even deciding on a fiberglass RV and the build quality and attention to detail impressed me very much! After weeks of researching sizes and options we decided on a 21NE. There are a couple of things that finally made us make our first move: 1) the overwhelming evidence that 99% of the US manufacturers have lost their way completely and COVID has amplified that situation to an eminent breaking point; 2) I'm not setting foot in 99% of all dealerships that don't care a bit about the buyer and their hard earned money, but solely about extracting every last dime possible and laughing all the way to the bank; 3) ETI looks to be doing things right. As demand has increased, the delivery time has extended (and I'm fine with that) but each build gets the same attention to detail as the next, no shortcuts or compromise. In the end we believe that we will get more for our money with ETI and have made a wise choice.
Thanks for the insightful comments Jeffery! And congratulations on choosing Escape!
It was a dream to work for such amazing people, have access to such an immaculate facility, and see the strong work ethic and happy culture behind the company.
That is about as open a demo as you can make. They must be proud of their product to be so honest about what is in it.
Wow. Watching an Escape Trailer being made is a thing of beauty. Already starting to save up for one of these. Can't wait to take a tour.
A hand built product from start to finish before our eyes, amazing! No lies about what it can do when attached to the right towing vehicle. A very nice, sincere can do staff, no pressure from bottom to top. Great Company!
Thanks Otto, we appreciate the comment!
I've been eyeballing a 5.0 for a while now but hadn't come across this video. So impressive and so honest. To see what goes into each trailer makes me think the price is fair. Congrats on a great looking product!
Just ordered my Escape 21 a week ago. I’m stoked!
What do you think now that you got it?
@@Ironwind1972
It is a great trailer. We have been on multiple camping trips with freezing temperatures, and hot weather. The trailer is easy to tow. We went with the larger A/C unit with the heater option. When we were up in Yellowstone camping, it froze each night. I never even had to run the furnace. I would just set the A/C heater to 70 and it would heat the trailer nicely! So far we are super happy with it. 👍
@@skagit58 That's great, thank you for responding. I'm in the market, but due to Covid, im thinking these things will be hard to come by.
That pressure test pretty much seals the deal, no pun intended!
Brought back memories of the spring I worked in a fibreglass boat factory.Worst job I had .itchy all the time from the fibreglass.Still happy with my 15A escape I use it lots.
Thank you for posting this very informative, and interesting video. After watching the craftsmanship, and care that goes into this product I know I am going to choose this company when I buy a trailer!
So glad you guys did an updated video. Love Escape!
Looking forward to my 17B in mid May 2021, love the craftsmanship
I hope owners see all these comments about updating the interior!! I really like the trailer and process. Just want a nice interior.
It was switched to maple in 2019 with a darker counter/flooring. We ended up just picking our own fabric/counter/flooring however. Looks like a damn nice trailer..Canucks seem to make some real good stuff !
Great video. Looking forward to getting one of these myself in a few years.
I like seeing the use of jigs which make every build an exact version of the prime design.
Hi very good vid you have it all worked out as a cabinet maker by trade 50 yrs in the trade you people do a wonderful job, take care, god bless, terry australia.
Impressive build quality.
Very cool to see the time and craftsmanship that goes into these trailers! Officially on the short list of trailers now.
Thank you so very much for a video with so much info on how your homes are made, sutch quality. Again I thank you. Cant wait to see the next one. So far you are my no.1.
Thank you for posting this video. I've been wondering how this type of TT is made. Very informative. I was a bit surprised to find that they don't have as much insulation in them as I thought they did. Like others, I think it's time to update the cabinetry. If you take a look at what Armadillo is doing, you will see what I and others are talking about. They have all rounded corners, several choices on colors, etc. If y'all could find a way to offer something similar, it could only help sales to increase. And you could keep the traditional look as an option as well.
Wow, well done! Some day I will own the fifth wheel. Such pride in every detail!! Thank you, I thought hard work and pride were a thing of the past. Great job, great product !!
Thanks so much!
Very cool we are looking at buying a new trailer in the near future . We really like the Escape 5th wheel .
I'm sold!
Beautiful production😀👍
very cool video.. my brother worked at the old vangaurd facility..way back in the 80s
Interesting 3 of the best Fiberglass RV makers in the world are in B.C.
Awesome video ! I wonder if it would be possible to get a Canadian Outdoors theme print on the cushions and accents like Moose or bear prints , maybe pine trees or a mix. Even maple leaves would be nice. Thanks , the trailers are very very nice. Great work !
We do offer the option for customers to supply their own fabric. Learn more about that here > ruclips.net/video/j2iX7TMwu_E/видео.html
That was a really interesting look into the construction of my next big purchase. Retirement is on the horizon and an Escape 19 is in my future, I hope. The video helped me understand what all goes into the construction. Impressive. Thanks.
Excellent video! Proudly Canadian, too. It amazes me though that with all the improvements Reece and Tammy have made in the process of building fibreglass trailers, evident in this video, the overall design is still a 1970’s Trillium, not that it isn’t a great design - we have a 1977 4500. But, I hope they will someday come out with their own “from scratch” design.
Why all the negative comments, you don't like the way they build, don't buy?
Looks like a great product. I don't know why RV manufacturers love oak-grain so much. It's like they are all stuck in 1993. Birch would look SO much better, especially in these fiberglass models. Think IKEA.
I think the maple looks much nicer.
Very interesting and informative video!
I saw a lot of chipper gun, didnt catch any mat being laid down. Look good, way better than stick built
Love it!!! Soon very soon :)~ reminds me of a Jayco ads bragging about the whole trailer start to finish in 7 hrs... probably that's how long it will last too :-S
I've seen that Jayco video. Scary!
how did you attach the 1x3 to the fiberglass walls .. glue adhesive ? i want to try to build a diy trailer one day!!!
ohh u bury the plywood into the walls and floors fiberglass..ok
I really like your trailers; awsome lightweight is good . 19 5th is nice. Maybe I can find used in California in future. Cant afford to new. 👍
whoa! What quality
Thx Proton Neutron.
Awesome! I've been really curious about the process! Ours is a 2011 17B! Maybe we'll be upgrading????
You guys have to update your cabinets for 2018 (see Armadillo or Airstream Nest for examples).
As much as I love wood - and oak especially, I must agree with wnose that in the name of modernizing the overall decor as well as brightening up the volume, white -or at least pale colours- would be a better flavour.
Absolutely agree. The 80’s oak cabinets cheapen the look.
80s? Try 60s and 70s. Their interiors are absolutely horrible looking. I'm shocked this is a modern looking Canadian company using such stodgy materials for an obviously good quality RV.
wnose agreed. I asked if they could paint the cabinets white and they told me no. Very disappointing.
OMGWTFLOL not even going to mention that LOUD seating area in the dinette.
Cool video! I thought they had thicker insulation and the tanks were insulated for a true 4 season camper. I wonder if you can get the gelcoat in a different color than white? I like the 5th wheel model for size.
A great video for all of us on board the "Escape Trailer Train" I hope this will help others make the best decision of their lives to purchase on of these
Great Video, Great Trailer, Great Company! Proud owners of a 2017 5.0 TA.
Awesome.
Thanks you so much! Happy trails!
Is this the similar process for building big foots?
Impressive!
Overall seems good TT, but a few design ‘flaws’ I couldn’t understand 1) why couldn’t even the kitchen sink cover with the table surface 2) why couldn’t get rid of that steel post on the kitchen table? Figure out new support mechanism to remove this 3) relocate the switch in left entrance door then make the flip table wider. These improvements shouldn’t cost extra much.
Love this!
Nice trailers.
How do you create the molds? what is the process to build the molds?
Hey thanks for reaching out check out our how it's made video on making our RV's from stands of fiberglass to a full shell! ruclips.net/video/PlgeMfh1a-g/видео.html Happy trails!
Can they be ordered without the designs on the side? I like the clean look.
Hi Carol,
Absolutely! We have 16 different choices for decal colours, or you can go with none at all!
- Harrison@Escape
If anything needs to be done to the coach after its purchase does it have to be hauled backup to British Columbia or is there some place in California were you can get work done to it ?
The company released a sit and talk video answering your specific question 3 days ago, very imformative. The main point they suggest is call their office, if the trailer is under warranty for structure and not appliances they will arrange a reimbursement of cost from a local dealer or RV repair. Appliances are covered under manufacturer's warranty, yet they recommend you call their office first to provide the best service and support. Hope that helps you?
Everything is explained at 33:33 of this video ruclips.net/video/vP9BnKygH0U/видео.html
Does anyone have a 2019 escape 19’. Is the raised part under bed new. It means storage is cut back and roller system won’t work. Any ideas?
so where does your work crew call home
is the frame premade at a steelshop ?..
Yes, the frames come to us from a local partner.
Do I have to go all the way to BC to see one in person?
Are there dealers around the country?
Jamie McFarlane Escape has a referral program. They will put you in contact with an owner near your location so you can see one from the inside out.
You can contact ETI and ask if they have folks who live in your area and are willing to give you a tour of their trailer. There are no dealers.
Epic !
Boy what I would give to have a trailer like this. I'm a Air Force veteran homeless living in my truck. One day I hope to have one.
🙏 I hope the good Lord blesses you with one
What city in BC are they located
We're located in Chilliwack.
I’d like to know more
Jose, everything you want to know about our trailers can be found on our website. escapetrailer.com/
Drum brakes?
Correct. For lightweight vehicles they are good.
Plywood instead of OSB. I like that.
Yeah, but it's dated looking oak. Horrible. Something my dead grandparents might have enjoyed back in the 70s, but not me.
It is designed for people who work and have money. Not for broke, basement dwelling trolls like yourself
IS THE ESCAPE A TRUE 4 SEASON TRAILER ? WILL IT STAY WARM AND COOL ? I AM INTRIGUED ON THIS
Yes! There is an option for increasing it's hardiness. I've had a bit of cold weather experience and had no problem staying warm. Air conditioning works well, but is a bit noisy.
I like no one is running.
The video is great, music is not.
Matter of opinion, I guess.
Turn your hearing aids down.
If it’s not built in America no thanks
Where they're paid by the part to slap them together as fast as possible, lol. 'merica!
Hey, the 70s called, and they want their extremely dated looking oak cabinetry back. It's almost 2019, you can do better. Use bamboo, or a more modern looking wood grain, or even contemporary laminates. I really like your trailers, but the interiors are a deal breaker.
The asylum called, time for lock up OMGWTFLOL.
OMGWTFLOL agreed!
Bamboo sounds lovely....
