Would love to see an investigator role. Like, you go on patrols, making sure the area's safe. Maybe also you have to move prisoners across state via train and/or carriage and protect them from bandits. And what about having to solve a crime, like visit a murder scene, and collect evidence. Bring it back to the station without someone trying to intercept you for it. I'm not a dev, but this shit writes itself
New role ideas/tweaks: If you get a bounty of £10 or above, you can point your gun at store clerks to rob them, depending on the store and the location, the owner may try to reach for a gun or only have small payouts - stopping the train with the brakes should also allow to rob an in-train vault for fat stacks but with major difficulty (countless NPCs coming at you to protect the vault, and it takes ages to bag the money + getting to the dropoff) TL:DR: train robbery & store robbery. Rancher role, spending a certain amount of money ranging from 200-1200 for ranches/barns, each having a unique trait and amount of animals that can be stored, missions such as capturing animals, herding animals etc etc; maybe if you own a dog at camp and also at the ranch you can gain passive income when online because your dog herds escaped animals. PLUS this would make horse taming actually useful, maybe being able to auction horses off after caring for them. TL:DR: farm life. Storeclerk, buying premade spots around the map which gives you a schedule, depending on the location it may be non busy or very busy - NPCs may try to rob you which could lead to loosing money or branching paths such as a lawman coming in, or a quickdraw event, using money to resupply and simply clicking a few buttons to sell to NPCs or even players. I'd love your feedback/criticism, feel free to add your own ideas too.
I've played for nearly two years and still am only level 8 in Bounty Hunter. I find the missions repetitive, boring and often tedious (the ones where you have to track your targets), and that's why I avoid them altogether. I love Collector and Trader, and enjoy Naturalist, but by far my favorite is Moonshiner. Easiest way to make money and you get to have your own bar. I really wish they would add more to it, like more bar decor, better band, bar fights, more recipes, etc.
When i saw husbandary role i thought A role that you marry some womans get the valuables they have get the money and divorce them and sell the valuables
Wilderness camp it's only reason I bought the naturalist on my 2nd character . I could not believe how much I missed fast travel from almost anywhere in the map straight to camp instead of riding to the nearest town for fast travel .
I liked the collector until it was nerfed. I like both moonshiner role and a bounty Hunter role. Trader has it moments and I currently don’t have the hunting wagon to Max out my goods to sell
Bounty hunter is probably best in my opinion although trader is also good I just think bounty hunter is better because you can do bounty hunter in between alot of things like getting collectables and hunting for cripps plus it pays you gold as well
One thing about Naturalist Legendary Animal farming. It's also quite good to setup camp in Great Plains and do bounties while you hunt normal animals. I think it's best to do that if you're also grinding gold.
@@burgermuncher8985 I wanted to buy the bounty hunter role but I’ve read somewhere that collector is the best early role, I should’ve bought the bounty hunter role

Hey bud, don’t know if you’ll see this. I just wanted to say thanks for the effort that you put into this video. I’ve been playing RDR since 2018 but I’m new to Online. The last time I played it, none of this was available so I was very overwhelmed. Thanks for breaking it down my man. Naturally, I went for the naturalist role (which sucks because the people rated it the worst) but in this game I’m big on animals, pelts, plants, and crafted gear from said animals. This is literally perfect for me. I didn’t know why to expect from this role, considering I’m new. But it works out well. I just didn’t want to put in hours of effort and money into role, if it wasn’t going to be beneficial. Again, Thanks for breaking it down.
for people who don’t want to sit through a 15 minute video for a list (from worst to best) 5 - naturalist 4 - collector 3 - moonshiner 2 - trader 1 - bounty hounter
I personally ever liked the bounty hunter role all that much. I played the other 4 the most, my favorite being naturalist during double pay out weeks and the trader on normal rates.
It doesn’t need anything for the next the next 2 months at least it has plenty of things to do as of now, after the telegrams which they plan on releasing every week, this game is loaded with things to do.
Would LOVE to see a video on Stealth in RDO. ESPECIALLY with the new Telegram mission that encourages stealth while stealing the jewels in the mansion. Is it possible? Is it worth it? Seems to me 99% of the time stealth is impossible. Is it me???
It is possible-but not easy!! I did see a video, where the guy stealths the whole mission, but he said it took 5 hours/repeated attempts to get it down. And, shoot-for the life of me, can't recall whose vid it was! 😖 I'm with you. I'd love more stealth approaches for all kinds of missions, from BH, to resupplies. I've tried it. You really almost CAN'T. By the time you stab one dude, or fire a single arrow from cover-you are immediately pelted with gunfire from 9 directions.... all the rootintootinshootin gets boring to me after a while. Lemme go in and at least melee a dude or 2! (If I remember who did that vid-I will update, srry!)
@@WhiskyGravy yeah, 5 hours sounds about right. As a big stealth fan I agree it would be fun to mix it up but the mechanics just don’t support it. There are a couple moonshiner missions I have done successfully but even then it’s hit & miss.

Kind of like trader. These are just some of my ideas.
The Moonshiner roll is underrated asf. If u upgrade it once that u can craft a strong moonshine u can make more money than the trader in 4 h without doing a single bootlegger mission. In my opinion its the best way for passive income.

@@fosketto7976 You get between 0.08 and 0.16. Lowest is a dead one. I didn't notice much in terms of gold between one-three or even legendary missions.
The bounty hunter role is my favourite. Not because of the gold payout, but because it's the only role that truly captures the essence of the game. It's an outlaw game. You're a cowboy/-girl. A bandit, if you choose to be dishonourable. The game isn't about acquiring samples from animals for some hippie that drugs you after you've killed animals and talks to her pet squirrels. That's why I would never want a rancher role or a fisher role. The game isn't about that.
i agree with bounty hunter role since it is the easiest role for beginners to do, all they need is a lasso and a rifle (which u get given at the start of the game) and then they can do it and earn gold as well as good money, bounty hunter also unlocks some solid horses which will be helpful for new players.
My homies and I will do the Etta Doyle bounty and just sit in saint denis fighting NPC’s while we wait for the timer to go down, we always wait the full thirty for that good payout, thanks for the vids hazard!
Bounty Hunter ftw! Gold, money plus you get some really cool stuff as you progress. Really looking forward to getting the bounty wagon, custom bolas, lvl 30 outfit and lemat variant.
The first role that i unlocked was (and still is) the naturalist. Primarily because a good chunk of the pelts (and all the legendary pelts that i skinned) are vanishing into thin air from my character's hand, right after skinning. Still, i was totally disappointed. Mostly because the nonsense that i need to shot an animal 6-8 times to sedate it. They should have gave me an assault rifle to shoot that many times into a single target, or an smg at least. Not to mention the cost of the reviver stuff is kind of hilarious.
Using legendary animals from Harriet, to fill up Cripps trader roll, doing moonshine while you wait for Cripps, and doing bounty hunting while you wait for cripps and the moonshine all the while collecting on the way.
The wilderness camp fire from Naturalist is the only thing that makes it worth the gold imo if paired with the fast travel ability from the current outlaw pass. I find myself saving money when traveling to camp for donations to Cripps.
The bounty hunter role and the new telegram mission where you rob the mansion are the most liked in there respective role or missions which shows R* we are all fiending for some real outlaw robberies, coach stick ups bank heists ETC. i liked how they gave us the telegram stuff out of no where which is pretty cool be We NEED TO BE ABLE TO BE OUTLAWS!!

Bring it back to the station without someone trying to intercept you for it.
I'm not a dev, but this shit writes itself
I mean this could just be an expansion to bounty hunter
New role ideas/tweaks:
If you get a bounty of £10 or above, you can point your gun at store clerks to rob them, depending on the store and the location, the owner may try to reach for a gun or only have small payouts - stopping the train with the brakes should also allow to rob an in-train vault for fat stacks but with major difficulty (countless NPCs coming at you to protect the vault, and it takes ages to bag the money + getting to the dropoff) TL:DR: train robbery & store robbery.
FR! Same. Bounty hunter is boring and it does not pay well until you are max level
Thank you this was just the video i was looking for since most videos like this are outdated 👍👍
Yeah, Not As Many People Play Anymore So Nobody Has Made And Updated Guide
A husbandry role at our camps would be cool. Breeding horses and other livestock. Maybe even like bears or something crazy.
When i saw husbandary role i thought
A role that you marry some womans get the valuables they have get the money and divorce them and sell the valuables
@Zinger box what about illigal chicken fight
Says its not worth it for a few thousand dollars, me looking at the 5 dollars I have “Haha yeah totally not worth it” *grabs a shovel*
Also gotta remember for the trader role ur friends get around $300 for a long distance sale. And they don’t even gotta do anything.
If your wagon doesn't get stolen and if it does get stolen if you can survive paint it black.
Wilderness camp it's only reason I bought the naturalist on my 2nd character .
I could not believe how much I missed fast travel from almost anywhere in the map straight to camp instead of riding to the nearest town for fast travel .
@5:56 You can get collectibles from the bounty hunter role. Just loot dead enemies.
Great vid. Haz love to see it
I liked the collector until it was nerfed. I like both moonshiner role and a bounty Hunter role.
Trader has it moments and I currently don’t have the hunting wagon to Max out my goods to sell
Amazing clear video. Thanks bro, this really has helped.
Best thing about the collector role is the satchels to be honest
I just got the naturalist role for one reason.. it gives me more potential to find legendary animals that could make cool jackets
If possible please make a collectors role guide in the future
RaptorRex 007 just use the interactive map... that's literally it
@@burgermuncher8985 I wanted to buy the bounty hunter role but I’ve read somewhere that collector is the best early role, I should’ve bought the bounty hunter role
RaptorRex 007 yea the bounty hunter is probably the best role to get first for gold to get the other roles but collector is really good for xp and cash
@@raptorrex No, it is good that you started with the bounty hunter role, bounty hunter role is one of the best ways to earn gold and you can already collect tarrot cards even if you don't have the collector role.
@@Michael-sn7if well i have both of them now, collector is really good for money and xp and bounty is good for gold
you are honestly so underrated
Nothing could come close to collector if we never got the random drops
Agreed. It's still really good, But it was so much better.
It was so broken 💀
I agree with you Jesus
I’d like to add that Trader was my next role, so I’m glad that this all works out. RDR2 Online…. SLEPT ON
for people who don’t want to sit through a 15 minute video for a list (from worst to best)
5 - naturalist
4 - collector
3 - moonshiner
2 - trader
1 - bounty hounter
Coming in clutch again thanks
Your gonna be my guide through rdr2
I personally ever liked the bounty hunter role all that much. I played the other 4 the most, my favorite being naturalist during double pay out weeks and the trader on normal rates.
Ahhh red dead my favourite game but in DIRE need of a new update
It doesn’t need anything for the next the next 2 months at least it has plenty of things to do as of now, after the telegrams which they plan on releasing every week, this game is loaded with things to do.
@@theexpert8352 yes I agree with you on that but cmon it needs something outlaw themed
I get up Wednesday morning get my kids sorted and straight in your video for the weekly update best Rd RUclipsr out
Obviously my kids are sorted before I watch the video dummy leave the parenting to me and keep them out out of your mouth
I'm with you.
The Professional did it stealth go to his RUclips channel.
Its possible, did it stealth my first try. Its fun but I wish stealth had a bigger system in the game. More mechanics towards it.
@@jjsomarriba1584 thanks.
Wow thank you so much…very informative 👍👍👍
trading + naturalist is the best together
They actually conflict with eachother but I can still see your point. The naturalist role helps to find legendary animals which is good for trading.
@Pretentious Moose I've stopped at rank 2 and have the wilderness camp.
I don't know if I should give my perfect Alligator skin to Gus or Cripps
I’m new to red dead, so this helped me out a lot. Thanks!
Roles to be added:
- Rancher role
- Robber role
- Bodyguard role
- Smuggler role
- Fisherman
- Lawman
- Prospector
We should have more business roles, like opening a shop and selling items you make/buy or maybe you raise animals like horses cows sheep, etc and you have to defend your property from animal thief’s, or like a fisherman role where you buy a boat and fish for big fish and sell them to clients. Kind of like trader. These are just some of my ideas.
I want a brawler role, horse type role, and ranching role.
1. (Best) Bounty Hunter
2. Trader
3.Moonshiner
4.Collector
5. (Worst) Naturalist
Like so people see :)
The Moonshiner roll is underrated asf. If u upgrade it once that u can craft a strong moonshine u can make more money than the trader in 4 h without doing a single bootlegger mission. In my opinion its the best way for passive income.
Great video- you earned my like 👍
They need a survival mission for people that likes to go shoot out with bots
Call to arms ! They did it :)
Great vid pal keep em coming cant wait tol tuesday.
A new role if definitly needed and needs too be something big and profitable and full of diversity
We also need more strangers missions from story mode characters
I'm currently playing red dead redemption 2 on PS5 & oh boy it's so much faster love it.
Doctor Anarchy I'm jealous bro😂
It's faster?
@@eclipse_pvp-gamez5428 yeah, from the moment you press "x" to the main menu, it takes 1 minute & 3 seconds on ps4 it takes over 4 minutes. And to load a save on ps5 it takes 37 seconds.
@@eclipse_pvp-gamez5428 he probably means loading times and frames etc, I'm playing red dead on my series x on a 4k TV and it's the best looking game I've ever played and its at 60 frames.
I have a ps5 but have red dead on my ps4 storage im gonna see how it runs once I move it to the ps5 storage
Keep up the good work! 👌
My least favorite role is the naturalist
Same bro
My fav is the collecter role cuz we can make a lot of money
@@sevseox the only thing I don’t like about the collector role is that it drags me across the map for the collectible I need 😂
@@_giovannisanchez6032 you can just use the online map lol
@@sevseox I do use it lol
Bounty is the absolute best as a starter role.
While I got sick of it quick, it was by far the best method of gaining gold for other roles.
How much gold you get from a 1 star bounty?
I'm asking because if tomorrow i get 3 gold ingots and i connect my R* account i can get the bounty hunter role.
Yep instead of getting samples I prefer murdering the animals idk y but it feels more like a achievement when u kill it and take the skin
I mean it is an old west game it’s trying to capture the spirit of the old west. But that being said yeah I agree BH is best
nice vid bro
Is it just me, or is harriet sketchy in a "she might be very high" kinda way?
No she’s not sketchy, she’s VERY clearly shlonked outta her fuckin mind
Your right dude Harriet is trippin balls literally all the time
i agree with bounty hunter role since it is the easiest role for beginners to do, all they need is a lasso and a rifle (which u get given at the start of the game) and then they can do it and earn gold as well as good money, bounty hunter also unlocks some solid horses which will be helpful for new players.
THEY NEED TO ADD A FIGHT CLUB
No don't talk about fight club shhhh
My homies and I will do the Etta Doyle bounty and just sit in saint denis fighting NPC’s while we wait for the timer to go down, we always wait the full thirty for that good payout, thanks for the vids hazard!
First
Wrong
@@kaidenherb4156 no they were right
Ty for this, as really helpful for someone like me who is toying with the idea of trying RDOnline (even though I'm not a fan of Online generally.)
Last
Don't think so.
Bounty Hunter ftw! Gold, money plus you get some really cool stuff as you progress. Really looking forward to getting the bounty wagon, custom bolas, lvl 30 outfit and lemat variant.
You get it yet?
Thanks for the video 👍
Great vid
Well my head is gonna explode
Looks like I'm going to be putting more time into my bounty role now 😁 thank u
Thanks for the video. What gun did you use to kill those gators
I love the moonshiner, trader, and definitely the bounty hunter role.
Thanks for the info bro
Love your Content!!! I've been playing the Bounty Role I'm rank 30 but still don't own the wagon is it worth it like the usability of it ?
it's worth if you do solo bounties where you have to capture or kill multiple targets
4:35 coins were changed again recently, now they are ‘random coin 1, 2 etc” whereas they used to be ‘cycle 1-6’ and i mean recently, a matter of weeks ago!
I could always guarantee finding the ‘gold quarter’ in cycle 6 giving me a full set!
Gotta love how pretty much all the roles in rdr2 online have u doing lawful actual jobs rather than illegal heists or killings but rather setting up legit, legal businesses or working with the law
