I wonder if smooth transition for texture rendering could be a thing, because without the clipping and occasional visual bugs i would genuinely not realise this is 2 render distance, and i imagine even with DH the performances are much better at 2 or 4 than 16+ render distance
shaderpack devs probably trying to figure that out (and some other problems), since iris/dh compat still in the early stage. but i believe it should be possible in the future. rn 4-8 chunks of render distance should hide most of the jank from LoD/vanilla chunks transtion.
theres a fork of complementary shaders that adds alpha blending. Not sure how it interacts with there being build in support on iris, but it fades out the edge of your render distance and softens the transition. The DH dev has also released a fabric mod called blendium that does this without shaders, and afaik is planning to add it into the base mod eventually.
@@ZrKr6 yoo that's so cool to know thanks! Complementary has been my go to shader for a while now, can't even imagine how good the game will look in a year of two when stable builds will be a thing
@ZrKr6 the current complementary shaders w/ alpha blending fork won't work with new iris-DH integration. And Blendium (which is made by Steveplays28, DH contributor, not full member of DH dev team) wouldn't be included in the base DH according to James (the actual DH dev and founder).

Hi new here so sorry if this questions rhetorical or something Can this tech work with other shaders like Complimentary Reimagined? And what if I just want like 100 chunk render distance vs the 1000 you got here? Very impressive but it might be a tad much for my taste
It looks amazing but how did you get dh to work with shaders? When i try the dh chunks just dont show up. I am Using the dev version for 1.20.4 and seus renewed + simply optimized btw, and playing on vivecraft with physics mod pro.
Does this require opengl support for mesh shaders? AMD hasn't added it yet but are planing to for the 6000+ series GPUs. I tried DH before it supported shaders. If that is changing now, I am very curious if it will work on team red PCs
do you need to preload world before using DH? i tried it on my pc, with 16 gb of ram (allocated 10-12), it just didn't work for me, lods only shows for places where i was
Hey there, love the content. Any chance I can get the seed for the world in this video or the latest video? I really like how some of the features of the world looked in the videos. Also, keep up the good work!
Or you just write a simple fabric mod that has your character fly around in spectator mode for radius X chunks..... preferably pregen those chunks before you gen LODs.
hi, i was curious what load order you had terralith and tectonic in? i'm assuming you have them installed as data packs but i could be wrong. the terrain in this is crazy and i haven't been able to find anything truly spectacular like this while experimenting with just these two world gen mods.
@@MaybikeDH damn that’s far. do you just fly 20k blocks until you find somewhere nice or is there a program you use to find areas like this on the map?
usually 8-10gb of ram when playing (i got tons of mods) and as much as i can when generating LoDs leaving DH to generate a ridiculous amounts of chunks for hours then scale back to somewhat reasonable LoDs distance after it's done, then turning distant generator off when playing.
@@MaybikeDH huh thats really nice, they should make it more convenient, working similar to Chunky, the mod that preloads chunks and stores them in a folder, mostly used for servers but i use it in my world because it helps with adventure not being a lag spike because i play with LOADS of terrain mods. but sometimes i cant seem to load any more chunks for some reason, maybe because my ram is at 100% but i dont know why because when i load in minecraft and look around load all chunks around me i use 4-5gb of ram, its only when i start adventuring does it start to pile up and gets stuck at 100%.

Can't wait till we see shader and DH compatibility with the upcoming new iris shaders update and possibly oculus since thats the forge fork of it.
It will probably come to oculus pretty quickly. The oculus dev usually ports over the major iris updates within a week of their release

Awesome, the song too
This is FREAKING AWESOME. I'd rate 9/10 +1 because you were a gorilla.

not rn since emin haven't add dh-iris compat to Complementary Reimagined yet.
And yes, you can adjust LoDs render distance to 100.
There is no such limit to the render distance.

what are your distant horizon settings I cant get mine to look like yours
what are the versions of the mods you are using????
Which build fo minecraft are you running? 1.19.4 had issues with border fog rendering.
how do you get it to work so well when I did it it only went like 40 chunks away and the performance was terrible
how do i get this version of iris and this edit of shrimple
do you need to preload world before using DH? i tried it on my pc, with 16 gb of ram (allocated 10-12), it just didn't work for me, lods only shows for places where i was
So how do I install DH on Iris Shaders?
It doesnt work for me
whats the settings for dh?
Please, what is the world generation mode because it is associated with beautiful

would you also have the seed of the world because your map is really incredible and thank you very much for answering me

the world is modified by a terrain mod

what mat craft version is this??!?!?

yo, I can't find this song anywhere. Someone hook me up? 😭 (description name didn't bring anything up)
check modern value EP - victoria on spotify ;)
How did you get the iris mod version? As far as I know, it hasn't been released.
read the description
what loader are you using?
Does anyone know what shaders are compatible? I went to the discords for both projects but I can't seem to find any info
at this moment in time, only iris shaders work with distant horizons
How can I acquire this
