I love it! As a 62 yr-young non-professional singer/songwriter, I nearly gave up! But you did give me some hope, I have been writing songs since I was 12. I don't know why I went to college, though I always knew I had talent, I guess the closest I got to performing was lead vocal for a house band at a bar here in Winnipeg. I made up lyrics on the spot, which amazed the band and me! My songs or influences were artists like Larry Norman, Paul McCartney and Wings, Randy Mathews & The 77's and Chicago's hard-rockin' Rez Band!
You guys should check out some of their music, it's awesome, you might like those artists. And, if yer' ever in 'Peg City, look me up, I'd love to meet you guys! I'm on Fake Book, my post pic is my cat, Spooky! Paul S. Johnson.
Classic Rock Bands ARE NOT DEAD! GOD BE W/ YOU!

Hi Paul, thanks for your note, nice to hear from you from "Peg City" We are here in Waterloo, ON. After playing in cover bands since the early 80's, reverse engineered hundreds of other artists material and unlike you, I finally got down to writing in the fall to 2019. Having a blast, working with some great players and learning a ton. Two overarching themes, it is not about the outcome, it is the journey and secondly, you are definitely never to old to get going! Thanks for the band ideas, I will look up some of the less known ones you suggest. My advice, go for it!!
