Taegeuk refers to the source of everything in universe and the universal law in which everything continuonusly goes through cycles of creation and destruction
oh man this is so nostalgic, thanks for sharing. I used to do taekwondo as a kid and this just popped into my mind as something I used to do but totally forgot. Definitely going to relearn this!
Best Taegeuk videos.Thank you so much for the introduction. Knowing that this falls into the Hexagram as sky helps me keep the series in order. I am looking forward to the whole series. I recently broke my foot and need to keep these in my mind as I am recovering. Be Well and Good Journey Richie
Ollgul makgi - this block often is used to protect oneself from some of the high kicks of taekwondo - especially "neria chagi" (axe kick) or a high roundhouse kick to the face on either side. So don't use that high block over your head. It just needs to be in front of the head.
Thank you very for sharing. This is an excellent video. It explains each motion throughtly. This is my standard for the Taegeuk Poomsae Series that I use to compare. I wish the World Taekwondo Academy with develop self defense for Real Life Street encounters. However, this may be difficult given or due to the fact that this is a global organization; And every country has different Laws that deals with what level of self protection is acceptable. Again Thank You for Videos
Thank you very much for producing such amazing material for all the world. I'd like to provide subtitles in spanish for the huge spanish-speaking Taekwondo community, who can I talk to for that matter?
My Tae Kwon Do Sensei talked liked this too. He also taught Us that the best way to avoid being hit or kicked- was to not be there when the blow landed!
Great video and form explanation however , the person doing the forms. I would NEVER have them teach anyone how to punch. The very first punch I noticed it.
@@Uttkarsh-m1o well the biggest thing would be movement 50 years ago You didn't step up your head did not bob up and down and The stance where it looks like you're just standing there with one foot slightly in front of the other we never did that

In 2021 On forward short stance what distance we will maintain? 1 foot distance or less?
assuming forward short stance is the one that's front stance but shorter it's just a walking distance
