It is the Co-Cathedral of the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis; the other Co-Cathedral is the Basilica of St. Mary in Minneapolis. One of the most distinctive cathedrals in the United States, it sits on Cathedral Hill overlooking downtown St. Paul and features a distinctive copper-clad dome. It is the third largest completed church in the United States, and the fourth tallest. It is dedicated to Paul the Apostle, who is also the namesake of the City of St. Paul. The current building opened in 1915 as the fourth cathedral of the archdiocese to bear this name. So this cathedral is 20 minutes away from my house. The organ is so massive and powerful that it can be played simultaneously by 2 organists each with their own station

Leather and brass tacked doors are always a sign of great wealth. This Sanctuary is magnificent….every detail is of the most perfect proportion, and property the classical discipline. The music is fitting and stately……as Gods supreme celestial loggia is imaged here. The granite exterior is masterful, powerful, a monument to last the ages……but hopefully not antifa..if they’re ever let free to have their way on it.
It surely shows the money that was Minnesota once upon a time. This church was builded to last several thousand years…..and a beautiful ruin it will make also.
