Baa-rilliant Fun: Brave Kids Demonstrate Mutton Busting At The County Fair in Kennewick, Washington

My favorite event at the county fair each year is to watch the young kids try to ride sheep. This is a rodeo event known as mutton busting. Out here in the country it's more commonly spelled mutton bustin.
Mutton busting is a huge crowd-pleaser at the rodeo, and it's a great way to celebrate the country lifestyle in a farming community. It's also a good way to introduce young kids to rodeo, in a more fun and light-hearted way than the rougher events such as bull riding, steer wrestling, and tie-down roping.
This video was made on opening night of the 2023 Benton-Franklin county fair, during the Horse Heaven Round-Up Rodeo. Kids that did well in this event on this night were invited to the mutton busting finals later in the week.
