    At 5:44 on the ventricular pacing there is no P wave. Does this mean that the heart is not generating an atrial depolarization on its own either? It seems that there should be a P wave without a pacer spiker immediately preceding it in ventricular pacing.

    Thank you so much for the clear explanation. Can you please also do a detailed video about abnormal pacing ?example: oversensing/undersensing? failure to sense/capture?

    thank you --- just one question, is there a difference between an intrinsic beat and a native beat?? my textbook seems to use these terms interchangeably!

    • @Meducator01
      @Meducator01  5 лет назад

      I imagine it’s the same thing, as an intrinsic beat is native to the cells. I don’t use the native term though so I couldn’t say for sure.

    can you get STEMI's that are stemi's with atrially paced rhythms....i imagine unreliable with ventricular pacers?

    when you say demand, can you say thats like partially paced like lets say 50% paced?
    when you say fixed, does that mean 100% paced?

    • @Meducator01
      @Meducator01  Год назад

      Demand means that the Pacer will kick in whenever the set threshold is met. Meaning, if they set a threshold of 50 beats per minute, the demand pacemaker will kick in to maintain a rate of at least 50 bpm. Yes, a fixed pacemaker would be 100% paced.
