Good job guys, making a good little living out of what you are doing and fixing them up right. Most folks would have never drilled out and tapped that exhaust cover bolt so props to ya bro. Keep it up!
Really a very cool video and very well presented for the everyday guy! I like to see this stuff come alive again and iam actually restoring my father's 03 700 twin sportsman, so a big thanks to you on some really helpful direction. Definitely will watch more. God bless young man!
I have an old ATV and kid size snowmobile badly faded, but both working great. Painting them will get me several hundred dollars more - great video. Also: Use wet Mr. Clean Magic Eraser pads on all Vinyl seats. They work in seconds. Keep a bowl of water to ring out the pad every minute or so.
Props to you for your hustle.. Do you know what that bike looks like now? The paint has faded and chipped off. That degreaser works amazing on seats!!! .......It also sucks every last drop of oils out of it. That seat has crackled right off the foam + all that degreaser and super aggressive scrubbing put the degreaser into the foam, destroying it also by now . Did you change and flush the oils? New filter? Check all the bearings and most importantly ball joints? That quad will kill someone in a split second. You are young and learning, hopefully everything I've pointed out , you now realize. Keep up the hard work.
You need promoter and also sand down before just with some scotch pads or it won’t last it will just chip off after. The most important is the plastic promoter.
how long does this last? wanna do this to my whole atv. gonna prime it first the. use the paint and then clear coat. sanded everything down. any info on doing this would be great man!!
All you had to do was take a heat gun to it and it would have went back to the original color. Without an adhesion promoter it’s not gonna hold up. It will scratch easily.
everytime im doing projects and wondering if i should make a video and upload it, i always disreguard it and abandon the idea cuz i feel im not good enough or the production value wont be good enough to guide ppl through the process..... then i see video like this.... as rimedial as it gets. a kid spray painting his quad plastic on a tarp in his yard.... ya... lol. keep on keepin on.
If you want you could use a heat gun or a propane torch and heat the plastics up. It will draw out the original color and you don’t have to worry about cracking or the spray paint coming off!
Why would you leave the old stickers on? Gonna look pretty ghetto. Acetone or Isopropyl Alcohol will clean that seat faster and better without damaging the material unless it is very worn.
Quite an improvement. Nice to see older ones brought back to life!

Looks great! I was wondering how that paint holded up over the years being on plastic with how it flexs?

CV will definitely try that
Use a torch and restore the original finish without paint

Was that a wasps nest under that plastic???
I had my 700xx for 10 years now still runs I got 715 bore kit in it running a Full HMF exhaust, Power Commander 3 fuel programmer
Mann you have some cool toys bro👌
Would this process still work if you want to change colors or are the best results using the same color as the original
Yes, it'll work just paint a lot of coats over it so that it won't be as easy to peel when you scratch it.
Zarca Powersports thanks for the response
This looks amazing! Great job!
How long will the paint last ? I wanna paint a rzr plastic but I don’t know if it’s worth it
if you paint right you can makes those last way longer use an enamel or alot of clear but they also have to be sanded right primer right
How long does the paint hold up?
wipe the faded plastics with 60% paint thinner and 40% boiled linseed oil and I'll bring back the shine and look like new
What kinda paint is this and how long does it last? Also, is it chip resistant? What would you recommend? I have a 2003 Kawasaki kfx 400.
Is that a 83 250R in the corner? Nice looking 350X also.
FARMHAND LOCAL 76 both the 350x and 250r are 1985s
Zarca Powersports Nice collection
Yo I have a question I have an 08 trx 400 but my plastics kinda broke I wanted to know if you can put 450r plastics on it ?
Will it come off with a power washer
how long does this last? wanna do this to my whole atv. gonna prime it first the. use the paint and then clear coat. sanded everything down. any info on doing this would be great man!!
Use adhesion promoter
How did it come out
Did you do This?
Is that a 250 atc in the background when you where in the garage?
Right before you put the foot pegs in the oven, what was that blow dryer thing you were using? And can I do that to my oem pipes
powder coating
You did a nice job man
Could you tell me when you sand them down what your process is
love the socks and sandals
Good work brother
What is it exactly color wise you used
Do you still have those ex 400s
What type of paint are using
Thinks for showings how to Paint the plastic good
Where did you buy the spray paint at?
I use Vaseline to cover things I don’t want painted. But the paint does give you a cleaner line.
How do you ride all those at once ?
In groups ?
All you had to do was take a heat gun to it and it would have went back to the original color. Without an adhesion promoter it’s not gonna hold up. It will scratch easily.
Where did you go that you forgot about the visitor tag? Lol. I do it all the time when I go to my boys school. Thanks for the video
brian stout hahaha this made my day
Came out nice
Looks awesome bro!
👌👌👌
You don't suppose an attachment for a drill or grinder would have saved a bit of effort on the seat?

Me too lmao
You need to make a camera holder with foam padding on the handles. Hard to watch with you switching hands every 5 seconds.
Nice job!
Amigo trincou a tinta ?
Hey. Buddy do still have that quad
Notforfakes Orlairs sold a long time ago
I want to see a video of what those plastics look a year later lol..
Hard to read the can when your having a seizure.
Riverafter you’re *
hAHAHAHAHAHA
How much you sell for
good job !!
Gonna like her

Go ahead
Why would you leave the old stickers on? Gonna look pretty ghetto. Acetone or Isopropyl Alcohol will clean that seat faster and better without damaging the material unless it is very worn.
Useing a heat gun and sun dry plastics brings them back to there orginal look 9 times out of 10
You could’ve used a blow torch it would’ve bought the color back easily
Acrylic paint doesn't stick to platic
Step 1: don’t
Paint is definitely already flaking off. Also dont believe when it says paint and primer in one that's not possible it's a brand gimmick.
You have the money for multiple quads just buy new stickers.
U don’t know that
@@bikelifemar3494 As you watch a video of a garage full of multiple ATVs. No common since A?
Ed Everret those could be brought in different times he could b in debt to the mafia don’t act like u know his life if y don’t
Ed Everret he doesn’t live alone could b friends he works on them could just b fixing
@@bikelifemar3494 ok
Good stuff. But please stop saying "go ahead" or any form of the word. Completely unnecessary, and a personal pet peeve. Keep up the good content
You dont wear a respirator when powder coating but you do when power washing? Lol your crazy
yeah that's going to peel in no time
Good enough for a flip
it w
Not if you use plastic adhesion promoter
Wow what a big difference. From 2008 to 2009. What a chump 😒
MUSIC IS HELL
The trx700 is the ugliest atv I've ever seen
