Im loving the game but there are times where all these minigames start to feel tedious and not fun same with Chadleys quests just doing the same thing over and over again.
@@sebastianc2077 I think the main issue is TOO many mini games....they went a little too all out. I would prefer 10% less, and increase the quality on the rest. That said, none of the mini games are required, so my complaint isn't really valid.
I struggle with this course. Even after watching another RUclipsr doing it. But in their video, they don't explain what to do. Watching your video makes a lot more sense on what to do and what not to do
I got the platinum trophy in Final Fantasy seven’s first game. But the staggering amount of frustrating mini games in this might just prevent me from doing it again. The fact that I haven’t even seen anyone talk about this trial as one of the more frustrating things speaks volumes to how frustrating some of the worst stuff is. I know these things are just a minute long or so, but they all really feel so much longer, and so much more time goes into doing them perfectly
Is there a trophy that requires you to get rank 3 in every minigame? I remember the only trophies in the first game that were hard was the gym minigame and killing the top secret in chadleys simulator. I got rank 3 in the gym minigame now but I got no trophy or anything so I'm starting to wonder if I have to do all of them.
I have had the same thoughts and just think about it like this you only have to complete it once and if you arent thinking about the trophy try to enjoy them the devs made each one very good. I have experienced no bugs
Chocobo races are fun and easy pops. This isn’t all too difficult if you make adjustments, auto focus and invert the camera. Only if you need your controls inverted. My biggest issue is how slow it is, makes it very tedious and unenjoyable.

Difficulty jump from 1 to 2/3 is absolutely diabolical. Also so impossibly difficult with broken controls. This at least helped me get rank 1 in course 2 and 3 lol :)
I was only aiming to pass it and this helped a great deal. Thank you... Will echo others thoughts, fightimg the camera is annoying, and as an oldet gamer... I played a lot of flight sims, so pushing up to go back up goes against instincts... Also, The Analouge Stick Control... Smooth as butter, a little TOO SMOOTH! They are so sensetive it very easy to throw yourself off course... Which i did! Will come back to rank III the course, just glad i got through at all! It is a tough one.
I gave up after 3 hours. I couldn’t even get to rank 1. Guess I’ll try it again. Everytime I dived bomb, I would try to go back up and it wouldn’t go up far enough. I would end up on the ground.
@@thez33k motion sensor for flying cids plane was ok. But for this it doesn't work well at all because you have to be super delicate like if you dive a little bit to low then it messes up your glide alot
At this for about 30 tries now. While this vid does help a lot, im noticing a lot of this is RNG. When the targets are gonna be at the right height/position each time you try. Infuriating….
Okay we gotta work on our explainations here cause visually its hard to tell what's going on at a glance. You do NOT pull up early or rather too early. The biggest hurdle is the last stretch because part of it is the camera so thanks Squeenix but the other part is gaining the required height. The key to an effective dive bomb is the height of the start of your dive. During the last one game forces you drop your glide so you won't miss the 500 point ring. Try not to do this. If you can hit the tip of the target with the chocobo you're in good shape to immediately after start your dive bomb. Your pull up should not be a thing until you actually touch the target. Combine that with pulling up and never letting go and you'll reach the required height

Depends on camera preferences. I am inverted so his directions are the opposite but basically he means to dive bomb and then as you’re ascending to not let go of the joystick until you reach desired height. I THINK
I realised that you can control the bird with both analog sticks. So using one stick for moving left & right and the other stick for diving & pulling up helped for me
Tip: just use one stick to move and don't adjust the camera. Trust that you will land where you need to when ascending too. Once you memorize the path, it becomes easier. Also, don't let go of R2 near the end. Instead, just dive very briefly.
I failed so many times, I could not figure out how to ascend. You HAVE TO nosedive in order to go back up. Thanks for this video. I got a passing score even though I didn’t get to the finish line which is good enough for me at this point.
I’m impressed! This is not easy. The camera controls are too sluggish, and HUD doesn’t do a good job of indicating when you’ve had enough “dive time” to activate the upward swoop maneuver. Minor critique of the commentary during your flight: it’s not realistic to “let go of R2 for a second”. In 1.0 seconds without the R2 button activated, the chocobo will drop hard and quickly. If the player does want to release R2 temporarily, it needs to be only for a fraction of one second. Honestly, it’s not designed well - there needs to be a little bit more forgiveness in how rapidly the bird drops after disengaging R2 - probably adding in 0.2 or 0.3 seconds’ delay between trigger release and the sudden plummeting. Give those of us with slightly slower reflexes a chance, Square Enix 😅. Until the gliding gets patched, though, the player should aim to (if one must release R2) only release R2 for the absolute minimum amount of time possible before re-engaging R2.
I finally did it! After more than +3 hr the trick is to try to touch the rings in the middle and the most important to only move the joystick to up or down, whenever its the case. For example not only up bc its not going to work.
Thanks for the letting go of R2 tip, when that 500 ring was low I'd start dive bombing early and it kept throwing me off after that and I'd always be too low for either the next 500 or the first of the 2 ending ones meaning I'd have to restart. Now on to number 3 😬
Didn’t even know dive bomb and then pulling up to go high again was a thing until watched your video. Nice well explained voice over here helped me as well do what was needed. Got it after just a few tries 😃👍🏻
When you dived, how did you get so far back up again? I kept pressing up on the left D-Pad, but couldn’t get that high,she just stayed floating mid level & then gradually went back down. I can’t seem to get that high up once diving?
The worst part of this minigame is that with most point based minigames in FF7, they usually give you more points than you need for the top score. So you can miss one or two and still get the reward. But on top of the awful controls, terrible camera, and inconsistent hitboxes, they expect you to be perfect with this one.

Man I could not get a handle on the dive bombing at all, so this helped alot. Wish they just let you control the camera, would make seeing where I was going so much easier.
For anyone having trouble with the last few and getting the height you need, instead of releasing R2 for a split second, you actually should start divebombing through that lower ring. Starting it earlier gives you more height when you pull up and you can actually force yourself through the last few rings by hitting the projector machines until the game corrects you into the ring.
Thanks, until I watched this, I was pulling up the entire time, because the camera movement when you let go of both sticks really made it feel like you were dropping faster during normal flight, but then i couldn't figure out how to see what was ever below me (unless you pause the menu and open photo mode to look, which actually does work, and you can hit your controls to glide again before closing the menu, but it's not the same as looking while flying in real time. Got it in a few tries after watching this!
@@CyclonesWorld It's a little confusing. Both sticks do the same thing, and their inputs are additive, it seems. You can't look around up and down without pulling up or down. I was holding up all the time (except when diving), which is fine except it really restricts your ability to see below you. You only need to hold up when pulling up, and only need down when diving, otherwise try to keep both thumbsticks level and only turn them to look around/turn, and it shouldn't impact your altitude. Out of habit, I used the right stick for looking and left stick for moving, but they both do the same thing. If you're holding up on the left stick, looking down on the right won't work, but if you let go of the left, looking down on the right will cause you to nosedive, etc.
Your video helped me. I figured dive bombing down and going up was the idea and I tried that but I guess maybe I wasn't holding up long enough. Thank you for the video explaining the idea as the game does not. Not perfect, yet....but at least completed the shit.
Not sure if I’m having a bug or something but when I descend to that first 300 and try to immediately ascend the chocobo doesn’t go up at all. The Ascend control that shows on the side is always greyed out as if I’m already max height…
I’m doing this now and have found along with the video there is a wind sound and animation. When descending, you see/hear that you can fly up. Also descend strong the second you hesitate you lose the buff to fly up. I hope that makes sense.

The dive bomb is broken, randomly doesn’t work. If you pull up even for a millisecond, it screws up the dice bomb I kept bumping the left stick, having both sticks control the same thing is bad design

I need help this is awful. Its the last dive bomb. You just don't have enough height. You will either miss one of the moving targets or the highest target at the finish line
Love the game in general but between it being so long and these horrendous minigames (which sometimes award weapons and material no longer making them optional) I have had to stop playing the game and play something else twice. Beat Hifi rush and stellar blade. And just came back to these aweful minigame. Thankd for the help. The game never explained that it had dive glide in.

How were you so lucky to have those last two moving rings line up? Every time I get there, they move in completely opposite directions, killing the momentum needed to get the last two rings!

I love this game as an RPG, but I'm way beyond sick of being forced to play these annoying ass minigames to get through quests. As much as I love the game otherwise, minigames are really making me hate playing it. I really don't think I'm going to buy the 3rd one if it's like this.
I have managed to get everything but those last 2 moving 500 rings. They never seem to line up for me. If I veer to try to get them, I definitely won't hit the last 2 stationary ones, I just loose too much momentum. Is there anyway to time this so that they'll be in my path?
I'm having difficulty with the last couple of sections. I'm definitely getting good height, but i think the last two moving 500 rings usually end up on the left for me and by the time i get through them, i dont have enough height for the last two 500s fo r landing. how are you timing it so that you don't have to swivel so much through that last section?
update finally got it! i think it helped to go through the begining section faster rather then taking my time tring to go through the center of the circles, because then by the time i got through the big upflight to the second part the rings were lined up much more easily for me
I cannot fly back up, thats why i only have the first rank in all of them, i do not dive because the going back up doesn’t work. What’s the trick to it?

The key for me was to wait a few seconds before even starting. That was the yellow ones lined up better for me at the end.

Hold left when you come up from that last five bomb! Those two moving 500 targets we're always to the cfar left for me.

My brain can't comprehend the inverted controls. Pressing up on the analog should take you into a dive, not the other way round.
Today's new patch fixed this and the shooting minigames. If you use invert, the minigames should be inverted now.

How were you so lucky to have those last two moving rings line up? Every time I get there, they move in completely opposite directions, killing the momentum needed to get the last two rings!

I figured it out.... the left analog not only steers you, but controls the camera aswell.

I love this game as an RPG, but I'm way beyond sick of being forced to play these annoying ass minigames to get through quests. As much as I love the game otherwise, minigames are really making me hate playing it. I really don't think I'm going to buy the 3rd one if it's like this.
I have managed to get everything but those last 2 moving 500 rings. They never seem to line up for me. If I veer to try to get them, I definitely won't hit the last 2 stationary ones, I just loose too much momentum. Is there anyway to time this so that they'll be in my path?

I'm having difficulty with the last couple of sections. I'm definitely getting good height, but i think the last two moving 500 rings usually end up on the left for me and by the time i get through them, i dont have enough height for the last two 500s fo r landing. how are you timing it so that you don't have to swivel so much through that last section?
update finally got it! i think it helped to go through the begining section faster rather then taking my time tring to go through the center of the circles, because then by the time i got through the big upflight to the second part the rings were lined up much more easily for me
