Next step would be to fix the physics. All balls end up with no lateral velocity and bounce on their spot, it's silly and very noticeable when the room is not completly filled yet. Then the usual errors of forces from nowhere affects some, shooting to the roof for no reason.
Just over 24h sim, 3 min render per frame if i recall correctly. On a 1800X, 2x 1080tis - but because AMD are babes and have kept the socket forever, recently upgraded to a 5950X. Allowed me to work on a render with 1,000,000 particles ;)

@@MobyMotion I gave up on Blender Sims, took to long. Lots of trial and error and waiting!
