It broke my heart 💔😢 hearing GB suffered an injury. I know the feeling when my furbaby jumped off the bed and landed wrong. Her yelp and cries killed me 😢 but just like GB, my baby is okay. We also took extra precaution to prevent her from getting injured again.
Hearing Milky cry and pace around with anxiety also broke my heart.

It's always just a freak accident when cats get hurt from jumping, especially from low jumps. I'm so glad GB is doing well and that nothing was broken.

A cat is more likely to get hurt from a short fall than from a fall from a higher distance. Because when they fall from a higher distance they have more time to prepare for the impact. Get better soon GB🙏🏽❤️

This is one of those "How did you get that wrong?" falls. My cat used to fall going from the windowsill to the radiator, a whoping 8 inches. Then she'd walk off pretending it hadn't happened and no one saw it; the embarrassment was palpable.
Just hearing him thud on the ground was genuinely heartbreaking. Your animals are your babies and when they hurt you hurt (i have a bunny called elvis so i can relate).
I'm relieved that GB hasn't broken anything, and that he was already trying to walk after he had some pain management. I hope he heals quickly!

GB is lucky to not have a broken bone. Most fall-related injuries for cats happen from low falls. Cats need a bit of height to properly turn around and absorb the impact like they normally do. When there's not enough distance between the cat and the ground, the chances of a bad injury increase. Hopefully, GB heals soon.

Cats falling when they shouldn't also can be an indication of kidney disease
He didn’t really fall fully, more like he missed the table fully, like he landed with his front paws and not his hind. My cat does that sometimes, it wasn’t until recently he most likely has very little depth perception.

Chrystal V my Lulu ran up a tree in my neighbors yard all the way to my top of the tree , turned around and started down. She was about 1/4 of the way down when she slipped and to my horror was free falling she tried several times to grab a branch but due to the speed of falling was not able to. Right before she hit the ground she was able to break her fall ( about 15 feet up) . She was able to hang by her front paws for a total of 10- 15 second s. and tried to pull herself up but did not have the strength to do it ( she was tired out and scared by this time) so she was able to land on her 🐾 paws 🐾 but it was a very hard landing. I thought for sure she had broken her leg/ legs by the sound of how hard she hit but she got up and walked away. But I won’t be surprised if she ends up with arthritis in her hip joints or shoulders. I don’t mind saying she scared me to death. I hope Molly is doing ok.
I didn't know cats could develop arthritis from a fall injury. Jeez.

높은곳에서 뛰어내린 것도 아니고 전혀 위험하다고 생각조차 해본적 없는 곳에서 저런 일이 발생했으니 집사님들이 정말 놀라셨겠어요ㅠㅠ광복이도 정말 놀랐겠죠...그래도 크게 이상이 있는건 아니라니 다행이네요. 광복이가 얼른 낫길....그래도 밀키도 좀 울먹울먹(?)거리다가 금방 안정을 되찾고, 탄이도 눈치가 있는지 아픈 형 건드리지 않아서 다행이네요.

Gb has already suffered so much when he was kitten.. Now i never want to see gb in pain.. 😔😔😔
I had a big cat aged 15 who had diabetes and he jumped through a gap in the bannister and broke his hind leg. He had a pin inserted and had to be kept in a cage at home 24/7 for 6 weeks to allow it to heal. Fortunately it healed well and he made a full recovery. Cats are great healers so don't give up hope and fingers crossed for GB.

I have a chiropractor Vet who has saved the life of my horse, and fixed my dog and cats. Cats are so amazing, there is a saying "if a cat and his legs are in the same room, he will heal"...but nothing tears us up more than watching our beloveds suffering. You are great animal fathers!

Poor GB, the same things happened to my baby boy a long time ago. He misjudged a jump due to being excited, fell very badly, and had to be taken to the vet immediately. It was so scary and heart-wretching to hear and see him go through that. But I’m glad GB is recovering and you guys are taking care of him. He’ll need all the rest and attention he can get.
