      +outsideclock but the point is that if a person never has a psychedelic experience their whole life and this is a person that watches mainstream cable.....this person is going to focus on external stimuli versus looking inside themselves. this is dangerous because all the answers we need are inside of us. the best entertainment and joy comes from the life we are creating versus always focusing on stories that are not ours

      +outsideclock many good points made, though I would like to add something to the idea of entertainment being sought within and without. I don't think one method is better than the other, but if everyone lived vicariously through someone else's excitement than there wouldn't be any movies or video games to enjoy, because creativity involves introspection and reflection on what other have done and said. No psychedelics are not necessary for this, but they can be a catalyst in done in the right context. all in all, I'm of the position to be selective of consuming content that will inspire my own creations.

    its so true that the tools can "shape" the user without the user ever noticing it, now think of governments deciding which tools will be available for customer use, is this not a way of "shaping" humans?
