- A Response to Chief Rabbi Yitzchak Yosef Regarding the Haredi Draft from Rabbi Yair Paran (YCT Rikmah '23)
Interview with Israeli TV, March 10, 2024
So well said, perfectly articulated. May Hashem bless Rabbi Yair and all the chayalim, miluim. ❤️
eXCELLENT, AND ENCOURAGING!
What a fine looking fellow!
His Torah is toiletpaper though
Well said
Well said. There are many other related issues.
No t everyone should be fighting some should get a exemtion. That number would be very few and would not be based on the fact you learn everyday.. Even the few who are exempt should be doing something to help the nation. Working in hospital to clean the patients there would be a huge help.Bring the soldiers who are not fighting the things they need. There many things they can do but aren't.
Let them leave.
I just want to say to this Chutzpan, who criticizes the Chief Rabbi, who started to study Torah long before this young man was born. The Israeli Army is not according to Halacha. If he wants to speak about Halacha, let us criticize the Government of Israel and the IDF, who even allows women to serve in the IDF. Secondly, from time immemorial,it was done in Israel according to the Torah, that yes, soldiers went to battle (real battle), while many stayed to study Torah. Perhaps he forgot to study that part,or he forgot his place, since he is criticizing the chief rabbi of Israel, it shows his ignorance in Torah, to publicly state this disagreement is a sin from the Torah. Just remember that.
The IDF's policy towards enlisting women has little to no bearing on whether there are halachic problems for someone to go to the army.
And your description of him as a chutzpan is uncalled for. There are plenty of talmidei chachamim who share his opinion, so he's certainly not speaking without authoritative backing.
@@jonnyblunt4755 "talmidei chachamim" who denies the words of Torah giants are not very wise, or maybe they think they are wise.
@@darubotha5146 now you're just engaging in circular reasoning.
It's convenient to negate the worth of those who have different opinions from your own.
I happen to think the young man being interviewed was possibly guilty of the same thing. There are "Torah giants" on both sides of this debate.
@@jonnyblunt4755 that is where you are wrong. So you also have your own viewpoint. You think all streams of Judaism is Correct. Unfortunately you are incorrect.
@@darubotha5146 no, I don't think all are correct, but I think you're being egocentric when you just resort to ad hominems when someone disagrees with the rabbis that you follow
It was Levi and Shimon who went and revenged Dina's abduction & rape! He is correct, there is a blind spot and a repeating the old trope of the Charedi community. If someone goes to the army and loses all of their frumkite, they were never really too frum..and what is that worth?
Beautiful interview. A credit to his family.
In Gehinnom it will also be beautifull
אתה הרב הראשי שלי
Until you disagree with him. Then you will follow someone else.
