I'm hoping there will be a housing crisis so I can buy cheaply when I sell a few houses in 2026. As a backup plan, I've been thinking about purchasing stocks. What advice do you have for choosing the best buying time? On the one hand, I continue to read and see trading earnings of over $500k each week. On the other side, I keep hearing that the market is out of control and experiencing a dead cat bounce. Why does this happen?
Investing in real estate and stocks might be a wise choice, particularly if you have a sound trading plan that can get you through profitable days.
Due to my demanding job, I lack the time to thoroughly assess my investments and analyze individual stocks. Consequently, for the past seven years, I have enlisted the services of a fiduciary who actively manages my portfolio to adapt to the current market conditions. This strategy has allowed me to navigate the financial landscape successfully, making informed decisions on when to buy and sell. Perhaps you should consider a similar approach.
this is definitely considerable! think you could suggest any professional/advisors i can get on the phone with? i'm in dire need of proper portfolio allocation
There are definitely a few professionals who really know what they're doing. I've tried several over the years, but for the past five years, I've been working with Lisa Grace Myer, and her results have been nothing short of amazing.
I just looked her up on the internet and found her webpage with her credentials. I wrote her a outlining my financial objectives and planned a call with her
Those people should be able to sue the city for not having the water. That’s a CRIME

@deborahbass6844 Don't even have to vote democrat. The exponential growth in those areas lead to that sort of regulation naturally. I've never been in an urban area that isn't exactly like the next. From GA to CA, it's all the same. Rules, regulations, codes. The irony in this is just northeast of there in Altadena a Historic community of ADOS was completely destroyed by the fire. This was about money, Land Use Right, Taxation and Generational Wealth. No doubt
We had our house gutted by fire 2.5 years ago. Almost died dragging my 80yo mom out. We lost everything except what was in our go bags. Took almost 2 years to get it finished enough to move back in. Our insurance cut off our living expense after a year so we needed charity housing. The builder also bailed on us half way through and made off with most of the insurance money. I had to finish the rest myself with my retirement funds and help from friends. I really feel for them because at least we had 4 outside walls and a roof. It was a REAL fight with the insurance every step.

Can't. The land grab is legal in a corporation. The land doesn't belong to a so called home owner. Only the 4 walls do and only until uve paid every ladt penny and ongoing taxes.
Newsom is dancing with glee in interviews. He is going to get a huge kick back from very rich real estate investors that ordered this lack of response to the next fire
I firmly believe there is a mafiosy in this fire outbreak and will profit the Real Estates. Three fires ignited within a short lapse of time and these three spots when joined by a straight line forms a triangle which technically and mathematically guarantees complete rapid burning inside this triangle. This is mainly the reason why many residents did not have time to pick their necessary and valuable belongings and had to run away as fast as they could. I have been following these events on RUclips since the very first day of the fire, and this is my personal opinion, because I know for sure that there are many businessmen who will do anything to become rich overnight and this might be a conspiracy. I have watched several firefightings on the social media, but this one is really " TERRIBLE " and " MUCH BEYOND MY IMAGINATION ". I do not believe this is an accident. QUOD ERAT DEMONSTRATUM !!!!
He should be jailed experience some of the misery of the people he’s ruined 😔
Yep, like Black Rock, it fit their M.O.

Currently, this State, the State I Love. I Loved for past 50 years. I'm now 73 & in tears because my Beautiful State is in the gutter.
They have taken our most beautiful States.
It was beautiful. It became unlivable. People have been moving out of CA to better states for years.
The results of socialism and folding to activists extremists. Because of socialism Southern California Edison exists. Southern California Edison was blamed for the 2017 Thomas fire and if you research you will see a similar time of year and similar pattern of both fires.
Hopefully you're not still living there!
If you ever voted for a demcrap you did this.....
What I've learned from Florida and California is to really be mindful of risks when choosing where to live, and to minimize the amount of money I put into a home. Just buy something basic in a decent neighborhood and keep the rest invested. People need to spend more effort assessing risk in their lives and minimizing it.
this is not about minimising life standards....this is negligence in the management of fire control water availability and public safety. They didnt even cut the electric supply because boxes were exploding causes more fires. they cut funding to critical services and cancelled fire insurance weeks before this tragedy. In a place prone to wild fires the fact millions of litres of pool water could have been utilised to control the spread of this fire is even more tragic.
@@mariapyrc6862 But you just proved my point. You cannot assume government will behave competently. So why buy property in a location with high wildfire potential and hope things will work out perfectly? Or why buy property in a hurricane-prone state and hope all future hurricanes will miss your property?
@@miamivicefanatic9736 well you didn't prove yours either..because according to you no one should live along the coast because of rising tides or a hill because of landslides or on the flats because of cyclones ie Japan more earthquake activity than most places yet the govt safeguards the safety of the people by putting all safety protocols in place. Just admit this is another land grab like Maui.
@@miamivicefanatic9736 I find it bizarre that they have been completely clueless about the issue of increased wildfires in the state. Every region here is so different that cities require customized safety policies. Locals vote for them. SF is way ahead with that. They have extra underground water storage and yet voted to use sea water if required. On the other side of the bay, one single wildfire from 5 years ago got us prepared even though it didn’t come till our cities. Our governor hasn’t got a break from fighting wildfires. That’s why, we know we cant expect him to check on everyone in the state.
@@meatrealwishes I think the problem with California wildfires is that it has become a year-round hazard. In years past, they could count on the fire season ending after the rainy season started. This was the time when they could usually perform maintenance, but that is no longer the case.

There should be a class action lawsuit against the state the governor the mayor and whoever else dropped the ball
Sue them personally for their assets and bank accounts.
Lawsuits are only harming the taxpayers not the culprits.
People who are in charge are paid lucrative salaries, but if they have not upheld their responsibilities and done nothing to protect the bankrupted citizens because of the fire, these bosses must be held accountable. Remember that scientists in Italy were tried and jailed for failing to predict earthquakes that destroyed many buildings and killed many civilians.
That will just be taking money from the working class and giving it to the wealthy.

I live in Southeast Kansas, I met a man at the grocery store last night who moved here 3 months ago. He said the fires are just part of the problem. The biggest problem is the people make a "show" of caring, then vote in users and crooks. He said he sold everything and left after living there over 30 years. His neighbors in CA said it would get better. They said the same thing when Gray Davis was put out of office, when Arnold left office, they told him it had to be better with the next governor. The place he sold burned a few months after the new owner told him he was a fool for leaving the "Golden State", he cashed out a place here.
I wish I could leave but we are stuck here because we work in the industry 😢

@@cookielapaz8927- Right. Let's not forget that according to an ABC article, "Gov. Gavin Newsom's aunt, Barbara Newsom, was once married to Ron Pelosi, Nancy Pelosi's brother-in-law. Barbara Newsom and Ron Pelosi divorced in 1977." - Nancy Pelosi is Gavin Newsom's" aunt" - That should explain a few things... Don't you think?
But they have been voting Democrat for the past 50 year. Of course it's their fault they literally voted these people into office.
I live in SoCal and have been in the construction business for the last 22 years. In the last 7 years a lot of contractors have left the state. I just recently got rid of my contractors license because of all of the bureaucracy, rules, restrictions, not to mention they make you carry insurance that you don't even need, it just wasn't worth it anymore. I'm leaving this state as soon as I can. I worked on new houses in Malibu after the original houses burned down in 2017 and it took most of them 3 years to start building, and another couple years to finish. Rebuilding these houses now, might take 5-8 years to finish, and that's if you can find someone to do it.
I was thinking the same thing. Between the cleanup, insurance payouts, permitting, and finding materials and labor, its gonna take years to rebuild. But good for you man, best of luck in your future endeavors outside of California.
Where are you going?
When I realized LA is set to host not only the Olympics but the Super Bowl AND the World Cup in the next couple of years, it suddenly all made sense. Gavin Newsom was downright gleeful when he talked about rebuilding and creating "LA. 2.0." ...what he didn't say but was hanging there in the air was, "and now that all the private homes are gone we can build it the way we want using money from the US government." I also finally understand why Newsom is fighting so hard to keep his illegal immigrants. Cheap workforce that he can 100% control by threatening deportation if they don’t comply. Harder and harder not to see a conspiracy here.
I totally agree. This is all part of purging the middle class from society and concentrating wealth into the hands of the elites. The building block of wealth for most Americans is home/real estate ownership. Now, the wildfires have stripped that away from thousands of californians while simultaneously transferring billions of dollars in wealth into the hands of greedy corporations .
So, they need the migrants to rebuild LA? Gavin did seem very excited about the opportunity these fires create. He has no empathy for the victims.
My first thought too.
This seems awfully convenient. Hope I’m wrong.
This makes a whole lot of sense. It's what Liberals did in Vancouver B.C. when Expo came there. The FAKE-NEWS tried to blame conservatives but Vancouver is 1 million % liberal and only liberal.

You are NOT FORGOTTEN! I love ya'll in those mountains. 🙏🇺🇲🙏
b.s. with the 1000 year flood. You could get away with 100 year flood with people who have never read the history of the floods in WNC. North Carolina has a long history of floods and Hurricanes dating back to the 1700's. I have read a lot of them. As recent as 1918 there was almost the exact same Hurricane in that western area. you can find images of the devastation in black and white photographs. People where never meant to be dependent on government. People were never meant to be over taxed, doubled taxed or triple taxed.
Socialism has ruined the United States and people now say to government since we are now deeper into socialism people are saying i'd rather not have my tax dollars go to foreign countries because while we were sleeping when it was time to vote we failed to think about the natural disasters that are occurring and we are suffering. They continue with HELP US GOVERNMENT give use back out money! Government says because you were sleeping during voting we have made laws that allow us to send tax money to other countries we have no more money for you the citizen. Government continues on to say, because you were sleeping when it was time to vote we created socialist dependency and now you have no say because we made laws to protect us the government leadership from being held accountable for our decisions.
Kinda late to be waking up after 80 years worth of socialist based laws being established. Kinda Late to vote against League of Nations or the United Nations both of which were established by socialists. In 2015 Obama signed the U.N. agenda 2025 which contains DEI hiring and Redistribution of tax money to the world. While USA citizens were sleeping when it was time to vote.

The buildings and cars are melted, the trees are fine, very odd.
Because fire loves dry wood and a live tree still have water. Fire hates water and people don't understand this. Wetlands always deter forest fires so where beaver lives, their dams protect their habitat from forest fires.
I noticed that also
I questioned that too.
It was explained by Kim Iversen that fires love dry wood so it will skip those with water like live trees if they could reach a more flammable material. I also learned that oak trees are good fire deterrent which helped an old couple save their house when they had chosen to stay to fight the fires themselves.

A lot needs to change in California. The news reported no damage to the school which was not true. The side of the building where my daughter lived was burned. The shed and college pickup truck was burnt to a crisp. My daughter did not receive one dime from the money given to the school from FEMA.
American politicians do not control California, and many people are afraid to speak out for fear of reprimand.
Tremendous change needs to take place in California in order to turn things around. I knew it was a matter of time when these fires were going to go viral and be a major problem for the state.
I hope and pray for the families that lost their homes. But, I think to rebuild in California without new administration might be a big mistake.
Criminaly prosecute Newsom, Bass, $750 K /year Quinones!!!!! ,Crowley and Criswell.
I presume you’re also supportive of prosecuting Gov. DeSantis and Republican mayors and officials for negligence related to property damage and loss of life from hurricanes?
You can't get mad at them. ... YOU all voted them in.
I’m pretty sure that was their plan
There should be law prohibiting one party running no more than 8 years !!
They need to sue DWP. Department of Water and Power. The CEO Janisse Quinones was more concerned with DEI initiatives than making sure there was enough water volume in the ranks above.
These people paid their taxes for that infrastructure for reservoir waters , imagine how bad you have to be at your job to drop this safety measure . The lies are documented now , get these people out of office and hearing their back peddling must feel like a slap in a fire burned face from watching the flames kill your dreams .
yes and Gavin just bought a 9 million dollar house? where did he get the PG&E money?
I think there should be a class action lawsuit.
Montana is full! Don’t come here! Especially not with the way yall vote!
What an ugly remark! Montano isn’t full. It’s a beautiful state so don’t act like you own the state.
@ 🤷🏽♂️ been here 24 years. We got a huge influx from California during Covid. Many Montanans share the sentiment. Never said it was just me! We are a red state and aim to keep it that way! Also we annual fire season and never has an entire community burned to the ground. Maybe some rural mountain cabins but never city blocks!

This opened up land for Smart train and they also changed farmland into apartments and fancy hotels the rich also own(Newsome). This is very much on purpose Agenga 2030. After the fires, come the mud slides, then the earth quakes. No insurance. We are witnessing the collapse of California. As a retired Florida real estate Florida, I would not want to be in California's real estate market to much liability.
I wouldn’t want to live in Florida either. Florida gets hit with the most hurricanes over any other state. Florida has similar issues with insurance pulling out of the state because of costs due to climate change.
Don't even say Florida. Go somewhere else,
My husband said the same thing, mudslides.
@thesewingeyedo ha it's way better in all departments
Florida will be the next Atlantis
Democrats are going to build apartments or condos here.

Tulsa area the only apartment complex's i see being built all over the region are 3 story fast ugly cheap. Seriously
Here comes all of the money hungry sharks 🦈 that can't wait to get rich off of other people's lives
As a Canadian retired Real Estate Agent and Fial adviser I am amazed how long it takes for California to build. My last project was 3 phases of a Condo project , each phase had 300 condos, Took 2 years to build All, 900 condos. When I ear this I am completely lost for words. No wonder you have a homeless problem, and then the cost. OMG WTF This is total incompetence. As for insurance companies, it is totally normal for them to leave if the state does not do its own due diligence. They will go bankrupt and no one will get insue in any state.
In Cali you can't even down a tree within two years, let alone build a house.
5 years? More like 10 years. The previous large wildfire was near my city. All the houses that were burnt down are still burnt. Those being worked on...are halfway done and not even being worked on...its been what...5 years now.
The Federal Government should not give a dime to California as long as Karen Bass and Gavin Newsom are in power.
Im a 60 year year old retired conservative that Newsom drove me out of California! Now I spend my retirement money in some other state !
I'm sorry for the locals in the other state.
Which state?
Go to Kentucy or Tennessee No state income tax in Tn and low land tax compared to California.
@@robinallen9769 ok 👍

steel and concrete and stucco and tile
I think they need to sue Gavin and the others personally in civil court (class action)to get Gavin and Karen Bass and the water chief into poverty personally!!!!
Newsom just bought a $9.1 million dollar house in Marin. He makes $234,101 a year as the Gubernator.

I'm a small building contractor that has a few left over modular units from planned modular development project in Oregon and we are moving in the direction of offering 6 of them at a price that may be an affordable, temporary or interim housing option for those affected by the Los Angeles Fires. These 917 square foot, 2 Bedroom / 1 Bath, open floor plan, modular homes (with metal roofs) were built new in 2021 and have never been occupied or used. We have 6 units (lightly furnished with all appliances). These are Modular Homes and not manufactured- meaning they are wood frame construction (stick built) not metal and qualify for traditional lending programs. These can be used as a primary residence, mother-in-laws quarters. ADU, or temporary housing while your house is being built and then resold or used as a second home.
We came into this world with nothing, and we will leave this world with nothing.
Leave your children something.
You are wrong... Someone will leave with clear soul and someone with the dirty one...
It's not just the houses that took years to built. If you look at the bigger picture the CA wildfires that destroyed some of these communities like schools, stores, and businesses, and other structures took decades to built and it was destroyed in days. That's alot of hard work and investment gone. It will be hard to think about rebuilding in those areas that got destroyed so quickly.
Pompeii is OKay....
Luckily, we sold our 1,500-square-foot house in Palisades in December 2023. Now, I live in the Valley, where those winds were absolutely insane. On the day of the fire, the Fire Chief stationed on Pacific Coast Highway knew there was nothing they could do except save lives. He moved the headquarters to Zuma Beach! The whole situation highlighted LA’s complete mismanagement of resources and planning. In my opinion, Palisades was doomed, and no amount of preparation could have stopped it from going up in flames.
The Eaton Fire? I have no idea what happened there. But the Kenneth Fire, which came less than two miles from my house, was a different story. That fire was handled incredibly well and was put out effectively. It was a clear example of good planning and execution.
Yup 65- 70 and up years old , is time to relax in a retirement form , not restart from scratch
It’s not just about the loss of properties, jobs & infrastructure, the overwhelming pollution that will have leached into the ground, water table & Sea is going to take a long time before it’s safe. Like what happened in NY with the towers who knows what the health implications this will have on those in the future who got caught up in the worse of it, let alone for the lucky few that still have properties if they decide to stay it may not be healthy to do so in the long run for them.
Obvious terrible mismanagement by the political officials in the State & they should indeed be held accountable & receive some form of punishment for their actions (or lack of). It would also serve to be a reminder to them & others in similar positions across America & the World that they are public servants accountable to the people & not just a position for them to squander perks & expand their wealth at the expense of the general populous or implement unconscionable grandiose schemes.
Even if somebody put a manufactured home on their land, it’s so toxic out there right now, the water, etc.
Government profiting from disaster
How much does the Fire Chief get paid again in that county in California?
CAUSING DISASTER WAKE UP DEWS DEWS DEWS!!!!
They would be crazy to stay! Insurance companies leaving & canceling policies. Their entire community is gone! Start over somewhere else without the never ending CA disaster waiting to happen. The state is responsible imo! They stopped taking care of the back burning & cutting back of the trees. Then no water to even put out the fires! These people had no chance! They said they sent out an alert & then cancelled it! Did these people know to get out? 🤔
I'm curious as to how many of these families did actually make it out?
No need for insurance on land. They need to keep this investment
Property taxes are worse. Not worth it.
@@kittycat6195 property taxes will go sky high! This is a land grab & ultimately rebuilding will happen eventually. No intention of rebuilding P. Palisades as it was. Once its all cleared away it's acres & acres of empty land. I don't see it returning to a housing community like it was. I can't begin to imagine what these families are experiencing!
It's upsetting to look at the complete devistation to these beautiful areas. 😔
Many if not most of the people affected voted for the leaders responsible. They should stay and not spread their political views to other places
@@apples874 They stopped cutting back the 🌳 and the controlled 🔥 back in the early 90's. I don't care who you vote for! If you stop the above eventually you're going to have problems!
This is just common sense, especially when you have a drought span of 20 years!
Then to add insult to injury. One couple is allowed to own 60% of the water! How is 60% of the states water owned by anyone as if it's their own private well? It's a natural resource of planet earth! This all boils down to greed! So everyone that profits from this foreseeable disaster, starting in the 90s. Had to know it was inevitable to play out as it did. Imo
it's going to take way longer than 5 years. look at Santa Rosa it took 8 years to rebuild and it's still not done. The houses in Santa Rosa don't compare to the palisades. if everyone here is going to build with steel or concrete. it's going to take even longer. it takes way longer to build with concrete or steel than wood/stick framing.
not even days later and this is happening!!! they must be given no alternative…. this is like a death for these residents 😢
What happens to the handful of pacific palisades houses that didn’t burn? Smoke damage? Value drops? Genuinely curious what happens when your house survives but the neighborhood looks like the apocalypse.
One old couple said, they will stay. They are in their 80s and they were willing to die saving their house which they did. The wife said either she lives or become ash.
I would guess that a developer will come in and offer a deal they can’t refuse. Then developer tears it down, builds and sells.
In Paradise after the fire people couldn't even do anything with their properties for close to a year because they had to clean the debris out first. People whose homes didn't burn sold their homes at bottom barrel prices because there was nothing left but one grocery store and their neighborhoods were ghost towns.
People were paying 100,000 over market value to get into a home in neighboring cities post the Camp Fire in Paradise.
You live in a war zone for the next decade while they work with equipment from daylight to dark doing cleanup and rebuilding. Then what they rebuild looks nothing like what you remember. Now you are a single family home surrounded by apartments, condos, and new neighbors you don't necessarily like. Or some developer buys you out at a discount to create a new neighborhood.
People should sue and demand property taxes back.
I dont blame them, i would leave that area too! Im also a Californian.
The roaches will scatter to red states and ruin them too
If you tell the people in CA that FL is great, then they'll move to FL and try to turn it into East California !!! 😜

I'm sorry for your losses. My heart goes out to you. I live in Florida, and my house was destroyed twice by hurricanes. I can't stress this enough, that moving to Florida is a bad idea. We might not have state tax, but everything else is screwed. It is getting just as bad in Florida as it is in California. The grass is not greener.
60K a year in HOA fees?? Where do you live? Florida is still great overall.
Dónt live near the edge of the gulf coast. You have to live inland like 99% of Floridians.
Don’t come to Louisiana either…. Stay north of Oklahoma,

Living next to or even near years of construction is no way to live. I was early to a little known beach town, then the boom started in 2003. There was never peace. Cranes dotted the skyline. Noise till 10 O'clock at night. Thieves abounded looking for materials and anything else not tied down. Then when they knocked down the construction shacks where the workers lived the rats infested the neighborhood. I sold at the top of the market (January 2008) and moved to an established small town in the country 5 miles from the same place. 20 cents on the dollar. Prices didn't recover for another 10 years. The construction continues to this day. But not in my old, quiet, peaceful little town. Alas, when I go to the beach, there's no place to park!
Great point
I WAS STATIONED AT CAMP PENDLETON , CA. AND I SAW THE PEOPLE WHO LIVED IN CALIFORNIA WERE LEAVING IN DROVES , AND THIS WAS BACK IN THE 1980'S . . . AND IT "STILL" HAS NOT STOPPED TO THIS DAY .
