- The Nobels ODR1 has long been the secret weapon of many session players. Brian Wampler loves that tone and added his own twists to the circuit for a limited run pedal for a good cause which then turned into the the "Belle"...and here is my video about it!

Brian Wampler is awesome and has a great youtube channel.
I have the Nobles with the bass cut and I really see great value in the bass knob on the Belle. Having that extra control on the ODR1 would make it untouchable. Well done Wampler.
We need to think about an extra bass pot in the future...:-) kind regards from the Nobels team
@@nobelsofficial5766 is it not easy to add in there, could you not do it now? 😋
No loss for you guys or wampler I owned your limited edition green ODR-1 & The Belle. Both fantastic companies, products and people in charge. Thanks Nobels and Wampler! 👌🤟
Gosh, for the size, this pedal packs a punch. As usual, a truly fun-ride video with humor and great playing!
Hi Henning, love to see you having so many subs at this point. Keep doing your work. Youre a genuine guy
Great sounds
I've enjoyed your playing during this latest run of videos. You make the guitar really sing!
I love my Nobels ODRmini. I may have to have this one as well. I’m a bit of a Wampler fan anyway.
Thank you for sharing the backstory about Alex.
It sounds great
What is the first backing track of the video? 2:30 more or less. Or some backing track likely?
Yes, I need the bass to be controllable. This is a nice little pedal and I bet it would work well with my Wampler Equator for some real tone shaping.
Hi Henning, have you ever reviewed any pedals from Okko? I'd love to hear your opinion on the Okko Diablo. Cheers.
No I haven't, they never reached out to me. The Diablo is a great pedal and I'd love to cover it!
The original version of the ODR-1 had a little bit too much energy in the bass for some players, so the latest version has an internal switch to cut some of the bass (hence ODR-1 BC, or bass cut) rather than the switch adding bass.
Great demo as always. Had you tried to stack this with a Tumnus? Kitties rule too, LOL
The other, other green pedal! I had several of the TS back in my youth hundreds of years ago, and had the foresight to give 2 away and sell the rest at painfully cheap (in retrospect) discounts... The ODR has peaked my interest for sure, but I'm reaching a saturation point of pedals that do the same thing but slightly different. Not sure where I'm going with this 🤔 however I really like that you don't edit out clams, having some fallibility in your playing is very comforting for sausage fingers over here.... Tschüss!
The fish toy at the end is a must gift to my friends ... their cats expect such gifts from me :P
I was like “come on everything sounds good right now I don’t hear the bad notes…” Then the shoulder shrug section came up LOL. Thank you for the heads up XD
I'm so glad I got one, it's so good for stacking.
I'm very interested how it would sound with the tumnus
@@evanbjammin I don't know, I have it running into a tumnus deluxe.
But seriously, I use the belle as my always on. And the JHS 300 over drive and the tumnus as my intermediate and most driven tones right now. And it's really nice.
Amp is usually my ac30, guitars vary.
@@evanbjammin I run the Tumnus Deluxe into it...and good lord...AMAZING!!!
I like this pedal
Nice one!
may I ask you what do you think of Wampler Euphoria pedal? Will you make a video about it? Thanks.
I never played it
There are no bad notes...
...only jazz.
Omg I’m first! Never before. Awesome pedal too!
Beautiful playing at the beginning. Other demo videos make me wanna buy gear. This one made me want to pick up my guitar and play. Also, the Phrygian/Locrian lick at 2:27 is so 😭😭🫡🫡
goddamn. forget about the pedal. this semihollow single cut is what I want to see and hear more about! sweeeeet axe.
and NOT expensive!

Very nice and fair review. The ODR1 & the Wampler sound great, but it's got not much of a personality tone wise. The circuit seems interchangeable with dozens of non Tube Screamer boost pedals.
I think it caught on in Nashville because they were so cheap initially. The high gain parts of the demo in the video were not how those guys deploy it.
That can be a good thing. If you like your amp and just want that tone (and volume) but dirtier, transparent drives in the Timmy/Bluesbreaker/ODR-1 line are the way to go. Josh Scott markets his Morning Glory exactly this way and it's his most popular circuit hands-down.
Wanted to hear much more lower gain examples.
Yeah, nobody seems to want to do that.
To me high gain is high gain.
Looks like there’s a new belle at the ball ! And oh how it chimes and grimes 🤘🏽
Brian( the goat master) Whampler knows how to get that grit.🤘🏽
Beware the Rechargeable river trout an invasive species that’s spread around the world!
Are you ok?
@@bohdankhmelnytsky9369 probably not ?
@@PooNinja just checking bro
Ha
Anyone else think the actual Tube Screamer sounds like shit ? If the circuit was tweaked, good, it needed to be. Lots of folks love Gilmore's tone, but as soon as he turns on the TS his tone loses dimensionality and size, as well as making it thinner and nasal. Some effects cut mids, some boost mids, oddly the same reason is given for both, to cut thru the mix. Both can't be true and I don't think either is. If you need tricks to stand out in a mix, maybe your mix should have weighed all the factors going into it to start w.
While you are certainly entitled to your own opinion, history doesn't agree with you.
Never been a fan. But against another amp or pedal with some gain happening is where it all starts to happen.
Just so we're clear, the Wampler Belle is based on the Nobels-ODR1, not the Ibanez Tube Screamer.
And yes, I couldn't agree more, I really don't like the sound of the TS circuit, it has some weird upper-mid fizz that doesn't sound musical to me. The Boss BD-2 Bluesdriver and Super Overdrive both sound WAY better to me.
HP was fun at the beginning ,now he's just a seller as much of the others because he's got animals to feed. It's ok.
