One of my students has a Yamaha CPX-15 (acoustic guitar) with walnut sides and back and I can conquer that it sounds a little softer and warmer than mahogany.

Stunning guitars. I especially liked the t-style guitar with the aluminum inlay. I noticed you pointed out French, German, and other European walnuts, but did not bother to mention US/Canadian Black walnut - which a number of guitars have been made from, even by Fender and EVH. I am sure it was simply an oversight, not some thinly veiled attempt to push European walnut supremacy. 😏
