Yo dude. If you’re using the ka trans. You’ll be blowing them like crazy. Maybe not on stock power. But I make 380 wheel and I’ve gone through 4 ka trans this year. There is something different with the input shaft alignment I think. Even with the rb bellhousing. Just wanted you to be aware.
Thanks for the heads up! I don't think I'd be making too much power over stock with this engine so it's not my biggest concern right now. I am keeping my eye out for an rb25 trans though.
KA is now for sale. Comes with XTD 6 puck unsprung clutch and lightened flywheel, stock clutch and flywheel, semi solid trans mount and trans crossmember, super sick harness that's on the KA, ecu, MAF, silicone radiator hoses, EGR deleted, KA has Purol oil in it now as well which is $ , will also come with KA bell housing and unknown condition manual transmission with tail housing. I love your dedication to a dope build on a tight budget! So many people nowadays rushing to build a cool car for instagram and spending so much money on parts rather than being patient and waiting on the good deals to pop up.
Just watched this video, for future reference, when you need a last minute gasket for the exhaust like that you can cut it out, they sell thin copper sheet metal at Lowe’s or homedepot
You may have issues fitting your driveshaft. KA trans is a few inches longer. I found out the hard way when i swapped my SR trans to my RB bell housing.
why did you chose s13? if you could change would you do it? (prices are going up and in my country i can buy s13 for as much as an s15 aka both are expensive starting at like 10k usd for not so great condition car) i always dreamed of drifting s chassis and if i saved for a little while i could do it but i want to drift and not be scared of driving expensive car ( i got e46)
if you were to pick now, would you choose s chassis or cheaper bmw e46 or what else? im torn between further modifying e46 (i got suspension sorted now onto bodykit wheels etc) or saving up money for s15
S13s are super cheap but its harder to find them all in one piece running. Theyve all been beating up. i got mine for $900 bucks back in 2006 lol then i bought another s13 hatch for $1500, 3 years ago. both running and driving. Super cheap to build, huge aftermarket for them. Beamers are expensive
@@rotaryjunkie9502 Flipped around here, S-chassies sell between 5-20k usd, if you find one under 5k it's most likely without an engine, rusted to hell or stolen. BMW's however have huge aftermarket support and are insanely cheap for low mileage, great condition cars
cheap, bash limiter all day and wont blow up if its close to stock, sound amazing, and he got it for free by parting out a car. ive seen them also not blow up with 350-450whp, so pretty underated really
Bought a red 240 with the Rb20 in it for $1400. After parting the car out and selling the KA I will be making $400+ after swapping to an RB. That is why lol.
RB20 more power potential then an SR, good joke, the head of the RB20 is horrible and ruins it once you start running bigger power, not only can SR20's make more power but they are far less laggy then RB20's. The reason people go RB20's is because they are cheap and reliable in stock form and if you keep the power down.
Also keep in mind that rb20s are the same size and weight as a rb25, but the rb20 is inferior in every way(smaller displacement, weaker internals, more restrictive heads, less power potential, etc...). Sr20 > rb20 any day, its no contest. Rb20s are almost throw away engines in country's that actually know how to build rb's(New Zealand, Japan, Australia), because they know they are objectively worse than rb25s. Pretty much the only place you see rb20s swaps is North America, because "muh Skyline motor".

But my Rb20 trans held up much better. Couple years.

Two of my favorite RUclipsrs in one comment. Both of y’all put in serious work with y’all builds!!. 💪

Nakitas English has gotten so much better since he started in the videos way back in time
That Coolant overflow "tank" looks like it needs to be replaced. Dope video idea, you make one :)
I heard the sound lol the sweet sweet sound of the connecting
And now I watch your channel again

You should do a whole harness build video
You guys actually did it. Sick af lol
Yes can't wait for more
Aye! Same swap as me! Good choice
holy canoli that was the easiest pilot bearing extraction I've ever seen.
awesome choice on motor ive been running a rb20 for 2 years now and finaly need to replace the factory clutch
I like how he said "do u have a running car"
Yasss welcome to the fun power club buddy!
What's better? Sr20 or rb20
At this point, that hatch is never getting new glass.
lagging on videos too lol
man i can remember when you first got a s13 think you got another after that one though coz it was rotten.. man how long ago was that :/
Is your KA straight piped with with no cat?
I want my neighbors to hate me.
Can't wait 👌
End of a Era :(
Get z32 air flow sensor
I have had problems with rb20 air flow sensor
Those turbo split elbow/dumps are awful, they always have boost control issues and horrible flow, a bellmouth dump is the way to go.
gonna miss that sweet sweet ka sound
Bra!! I saw you at irwindale! Walking up section 3or 2.
Hope that after diong the rb20 swap you will generally civilize an make that badly beaten 240 a loot nicer and cleaner ✌🔰
finish the swap in one day - famous last words)))0
anyone else think a "ferrari" bn sports style hatch on the drift car would be ballin?
Anything is more ballin' than a smashed rear window
How much for the KA you pulled out
Yes finally 👏
How to Torque - "Click Click"
Why didnt u go rb25?
Yeeeeees
I wanna put that KA in my S12
bro adele is me dude steady wearing jandels while working on my sr
Can we see more driving videos
Yasss
Just like Kelvin says the rb20 cone eat your transmission
Z32 trans might work better for you
Were did you buy that turbo downpipe?
The one shown in the video I didn't buy. It came with the engine.
I had the same one, The flange that bolts to the exhaust housing likes to warp and create an exhaust leak
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSES
looking at all these comments, still trust your opinion over comment guys
AWE I DIDNT GET A HUG AT IRWINDALE

Gimme dat ka
Question:
Why RB20 and not 25? Just as heavy and not as much power, might as well put an SR20 at that point (or just keep the KA).

Is edye his gf or sister
Lmao
"You're my sister!!!"
lol I wrote Andy is a gay
The girl recording is pretty funny.
I think that the red head guy is hitting on your sister!
The SR20 is better than the rb20.. People literally swap sr20s into r32s you know that right? Should of got a 25.
Let me tell you an s chassis with an rb20det has a lot more power potential then an sr haha
