How to remove anodized color from aluminum parts

  • Quick and easy way to get this done
    You need:
    Container. Water, caustic soda, gloves, nylon brush
    Easy off is another way to do this but if your not careful the glycol ethers in easy off will pit you aluminum.

    I am in the process of deep etching (0.8 mm) aluminum nameplates and wonder if you happen to know what % of Caustic Soda the solution should be and how long the metal should be exposed.

      Any drain cleaner, or cooker cleaner from what I've seen.
