  • Bordered by the Coast Mountain Range and the Pacific Ocean, Vancouver is recognized as one of the world's most livable cities with a rich history and one of the smallest carbon footprints of any major city in North America.

I'll be honest, Downtown Vancouver seems soulless...

sadly very few can afford to live there. Vancouver for the rich, I suppose.

      Perhaps all interested parties
will incourage the visible majority (90% poor) to stand up and be counted.
To vote in any and all elections.
      Visible minority is the rich.

Thank you all for the salute to Vancouver! Critiques: Firstly, it's become too obvious to hide: this city is being rebuilt and reshaped for the wealthy. The middle class and other infrastructure peeps can just keep moving the hell out ...so says Vancouver City Planners in their show of attitude. 2. Although you're thorough in your research given the short time allotted, the patronizing voice makes the video sound too much like a desperate sales pitch--which is something we are WELL past needing.

I was born in Vancouver in 1963... it WAS a great city until mid 80's... now it is an over populated, over priced, over taxed, over restricted, over regulated pile of CRAP... yes the GVRD (Greater Vancouver Regional District ) is still pretty good but the actual city of Vancouver is a SHITHOLE compared to what it used to be... you go downtown at night and see hundreds of homeless people sleeping on the streets.. a crapy old home that needs to be torn down cost over a million dollars... there is almost NO places to rent and the ones that are for rent are so expensive 90% of BC population can not afford to rent one of those crap holes...

I was from there too. I left for the east coast years ago. Housing was my problem. So sad what happened to that city. I visited a while ago and saw tents up on Kingsway.

The business owners from Hong Kong ran away from HK before it went back to China. They came with suitcases of money and paid any amount of cash to buy houses in Canada which drove prices up way beyond what most people can afford.
With all the apartments it looks like Hong Kong now. You cant see the scenery because of all the towers.

Yes Sure not true - “yes sure racist” ignorant bigot spreading hate lies. I’m a long term resident ...
Vancouver was still very affordable and 1998 and 2001 and that was well after the Hong Kong a flurry of activity. It’s mostly they were supplying demand and you racist people need to stop because your heat mongers and you keep rambling the same goddamn piece of shit that’s wrong.
All you are, is just pure white supremacist racist. There’s no reasoning with anvil headed steel traps like you.
      SIGNED, A NON-racist White guy.
