    Definitely. I use both of them live along with the microcosm and they never let me down.

    Meris also have awesome expression pedal control of parameters per patch.

      Very true how was you gotten on with expression on these newer pedals?

    Also worth mentioning using the prEditor is awesome for organising set lists and configuring the LVX in general. I believe currently being worked on for Mercury support too

    I'll be taking out my newly built full MIDI pedalboard with LVX + MercuryX for its first live gig this weekend. Stereo in the house and IEMs. Will report back. Normally I run a rig with Korg SDD-3000 > Pigtronix Echolution 2 > Timeline > BigSky (all controlled by MIDI).
    Here are some of the things I will be doing with LVX + MercuryX, assisted by the RJM Mastermind GT10:
    1. High blend of parallel dry with microshift (+/-7 cents), with a touch of (Ultraplate) reverb for the verse. I will be increasing the microshift blend with a CC for a pre-chorus, then adding an LVX Multi-tap with micropitch set in reverse (the minus side on LVX will cascade into the positive side of the MX, and vice versa) for the chorus.
    2. Hall with (stereo) harmonic tremolo on the verb only, turning the trem depth down with a CC for the chorus, and adding a Granular LVX preset for a noise/breakdown section.
    3. 3 tap Poly delay with about 42% dimension (recreation of a favorite Polymoon setting) into a Cathedra patch on MercuryX. Lush as all get out, but also very responsive, in a way the BigSky (v1) may not be.

    Hi Nick, thanks for all your videos I learn a lot.
    just wondering if you find substantial improvement in the sound quality compared to big sky and time line (i already saw your videos)
    I own both (BS & TL) but im thinking in upgrading but not sure.

    • @nickreesyt
      @nickreesyt  2 месяца назад +1

      Substantial…no. More options yes. more money: yes. bigger learning curve and more time consuming to get great tones I would say yes. So depends on what your priorities are moving forwards really as to what I’d recommend?

    i love it live, but can’t for the life of me figure out a usable sound during the preset spillover.
    and if i want to use delay in the MercX in some sections of a song, and a fast predelay verb in another part of the same song, you get the delay artifacts and it tends to be unusable there

    • @nickreesyt

      Right this isn’t something I’ve looked into but seems to be causing you issues hey

    I love the LVX.. I do wish the screen was a little bigger, like extended to where the feedback knob is or something, but it's also fine how it is.. I'm just greedy..

    I’ve got an LVX and it’s been fine in rehearsals since I got it a few weeks ago, just sorting my presets before first live use in a few weeks time. One other point to note is I think you can use the presets switching on one pedal to switch to the same on another via MIDI - sounds very helpful when using both in a live context.

      @@nickreesytgood, but I need to spend some time dialling it in within a mix especially things like phaser and flanger which I used separate pedals for previously

    100% great pedals live. I use an RJM PBC 10 switcher, and using midi to send PC messages is the way to go. Not sure how anyone could think these aren’t good live. They sound amazing.

    I’m pretty sure Dave Knudson has an LVX on his board. You can really use anything live. The screen thing is silly. The source audio collider has no screen but I’ve never heard anyone complain about that.
    Anyway, is that SG new? It suits you.

    • @nickreesyt
      @nickreesyt  2 месяца назад +1

      Yeh the looper on the LVX is very close to the classics Dave pioneered back in the day so if that’s the case I’m not surprised. Yeh it’s a 2017 standard…just borrowing it but the colour is super nice and it definitely chimes

      @@nickreesyt oh I think he’s using it for the actual delay sounds. He’s still got the dual dl4 guys. He just updated to the V2s.
