- Elizabeth Olsen spoke to ‘Extra’ at the NYC premiere of ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’! She opened up about Wanda's journey as the Scarlett Witch in the new movie - which comes on the heels of the ‘WandaVision’ series - and where she would like to see her character go next. ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ is in theaters now!

@@niceandflyy i can assure u 100% it wasnt her, in end of wandavision she accepted thay vision and the kids are gone, but then as we saw the darkhold possessed her as it did to agatha and supreme strange and the other strange, the darkhold controls the soul by their biggest desire the real wanda came out by the emotions of her kids and sacrificed like always, but she didnt die cuz if u remember in the mirror dimensions she broke all 206 bones and acted like nothing happened, rocks will kill her?

I love that she said the fans who know her best, that made my heart so happy. Wanda was a force in that film. And she was tainted by the darkhold which we all knew from WandaVision was going to happen given Agatha's warning and the post credit scene at the end of the finale. MoM shocked me in amazing and heartbreaking ways. Wanda's story isn't over and without giving spoilers, there's a lot of ways to interpret what happened and given Lizzie signing on for 7 more years, as well as the solo Scarlet Witch film, I think it's fair to say we'll be seeing much more of Wanda coming into her role as the Scarlet Witch but changing the fate of the Scarlet Witch without the Darkhold. I think she's going to turn it around and realize that some things are better left in the past and she can only focus on what she has in the present
Spoilers alert...
The Wanda in the Illuminati world (863?) is still alive and well. And she is equally powerful, since she pretty much did the entirety of Act 2 under 616 Wanda's influence.
That gentle and peace loving variant (who will never be tainted by the Darkhold) might be the direction MCU will be using for Wanda going forward, just like Loki. After all, she knew what happened even though she was trapped in her conscience. And her boys are likely the ones becoming members of Young Avengers.

Even though I’d love to believe that, with what she’s done in this movie, her ruthlessness, madness and almost psychopathic behavior, I think we’ll see the scarlet witch in the upcoming movies as the main villain… like thanos in the avengers but in a deeper, darker level. That would be very fun.

Did they not SEE the darkhold in her hand while she was astral projecting in the finale credits scene. Agatha said she is gonna be a destruction. So that what happens in this film. She has so much pain, suffering and loss and so much power it was bound to make her go insane. Thank god people are loving it lol.

Although I do agree that her variant from the Illuminati world will take the lead from this point forward. Since she will be Scarlet Witch sans Darkhold.

I feel like this movie should be called Doctor Strange In The Madness Of Scarlet Witch or something like that cause this movie didn't have as much multiverse as they kept mentioning and promoting though the madness concept was 100 percent there, especially the way wanda kept hunting them down and killing whoever came in her way, this movie would have been worse if wanda wouldn't have been the villain i can't even imagine another villain with the same plot and hunting down Chavez for her powers and all, wanda definitely deserves the name in the movie's title. Over all was it a great movie yes, did i like it yeah definitely, was i disappointed, yeah a little cause they could have done something much more and had the potential too after the movie you just feel like you kept waiting for the x factor in the movie which never happened it was just satisfactory. I guess over expectation and over promoting raised the bar so high that they couldn't keep up with it. now on they should take this as a lesson learnt and stop putting out videos every day since the day trailer drops till the day it releases
the plot is quite litearlly dr strange going in the multiverse, and theres madness. it is adequately named, but sure you could toss in wandas name but then youd have to throw thanos' name into infinity war.
@@benboudreau1221 i don't think 2 universes can be called multiverse because rest all universes they showed were like with in a minute or something like that and talking about the plot it's literally wanda hunting them down the entire movie unlike Thanos who waged a war for gathering infinity stones and gradually progressing in it hence the name infinity war there's a difference all I'm saying is they didn't show as much multiverse as they were hyping it to be which as a mcu fan is fine I guess but can't say the same as a marvel fan, could have been better. @@karanchavan8178 I think you're being nitpicky and a little whiny, I'm glad the movie was more focused on not cartoon nonsense of them flying thru a million multiverse, save that shit for the animated stuff like what if, you just seem to be another victim of the speculation over hyping these movies and delivering false promises. They went into the multiverse, it was essential to the plot, and the narrative was dark and twisted so there was alot of "madness" it's accurately named, you were just expecting them to do a rick and Morty style goofing around in 500 different universes over one movie and George Clooney as captain America cameos and tom cruise as tony stark and all this shit they never promised us. It was presented as Dr strange, going into the multiverse to stop a threat, and just showing you some cool stuff. It was also shot during major lockdowns in London so idk why people were expecting them to be with a thousand cameo characters and millions of different locations. I'll take a smaller scale more focused movie just showing some cool set prices and character work than a big over the top cartoon nonsense that y'all over hyped it to be and disappointed yourselves with.

Her boys don’t exist in Earth-616. If they decided to somehow come to Earth-616, that would just cause a incursion.

I wanna know what's happening with the Wanda from the Illuminati Universe. I want her to learn how to be the Scarlet Witch. All the journey that Wanda 616 lived and they never showed on MoM, I want to see her going through that.
I also want her to be in House of Harkness without being the main character. I want her to take advantage from the knowledge of Evil Wanda, and I want her to meet Agatha from the Illuminati Universe, and her to become her mentor in the right way.
I want her to become the Scarlet Witch as it was predicted she will be, not as an evil ruler, but as a powerful guardian of the Multiverse. There must be other ways of traveling through it without America's power.
That will lead her to a main film like "Endgame" where the paths of all of them cross. But this will happen only after a movie of the "Children's Crusade" of course
What are u even talking about?? That wanda is not coming back, and she never will, nor will we see her again. She's just 1 from the infinitely number of normal wandas that just live a nice and happy life. We don't need to know any more about her, she just lives a normal house-wife life happy with her kids.
Whats not living is our wanda, she's the only scarlet witch who's a nexus being, and will ressurect herself like in the comics, her kids will also be back since they are pieces of mephisto's souls.

Seeing people here in the comments section, praising her, gives me the idea that people will like whatever other people will tell them to like! People, please realize that Doctor Strange sort of felt like a side character in his own movie! For the second time, after Spiderman no way home, he was nerfed in favor of other characters, like the little girl (which was totally one of the worst parts of the movie) and Wanda herself. It's not a good thing if you're saying that it should have been her movie because that's exactly the point! They could've done it but instead they fooled you by selling a movie with a name of a more famous (and deserving, judging by how they're handling Wanda) character like Strange. I don't know if it's woke propaganda or just bad writing decisions, but you all need to start questioning what you're seeing.

Her future remains to be seen and since Lizzie has played Wanda for 2 years in a row, she's likely gonna take a break and The Scarlet Witch will return eventually but not so soon.
