Thanks Rod. Nice to do a fast one on flat tarmac paths. Bit narrow on the two way sections but not too much of a problem unless they get a big increase in numbers.
I think this if this one grew a lot bigger then they would have to rethink the course to maybe avoid the turn abouts and running in both directions along the paths. It was ok with the numbers of runners that they had but you couldn't venture on to the grass at the moment because it was like a marsh!
That was a windy course. I hope it wasn't as confusing to run as it looked to viewers. That boy at the end looked THRILLED to hand you your finisher's medal. LOL
Yes Tim, it is a bit narrow. I'd say in less muddy conditions you could overtake on the grass but at the moment if you ventured off of the tarmac path it's so muddy you'd probably sink into it! Nice parkrun though arounfd the lake. I'd recommend picking a sunny do to run it.
This course looks like a logistical nightmare! The marshals do a good job keeping track, but the course is way too convoluted, and you practically need to write a formula on your arm to know what way to go.
Great one Chris. I did my 20 miler today. It was brutal as it had an elevation gain of 250 mts. And psychologically it was tough as it was 4 loops. When is your 20 miler?
Thanks mate :) Well done on your 20 miler, I'm sure that the elevation gain will help as the marathon itself will be much flater. My long runs also have a bit of elevation gain. I've done one 20 miler a couple of weeks back and I'm doing a second one next weekend. This will include some of it at marathon pace.
Strong running Chris. Bit of a crazy parkrun by the looks of it!

Lovely little parkrun around the pond! Looks like a great route but alittle tight in places!
Yes, a nice parkrun with added water hazard (i.e. big puddle) just to add to the fun :)
It's great that parkrun is growing but it seems like they are launching events in places that aren't best suited to it.

Brilliant, Chris! Loved it. Keep posting.
Thanks Alison, glad you enjoyed it and don't worry, as long as I can keep running, I'll keep making running videos :)
That wee dude certainly showed you a clean pair of heels mate 😜👍🏻
That course looks mega confusing 🤪
Yeah, he's quick!! Lots of people have said that but actually it wasn't as confusing as it looked on the video. Just had to remember to keep left :)
Here We Are Running hope you pushed him into a hedge when nobody was looking 🤣🤣🤣
Interesting video. I looked with pleasure! 😊👍🏻
Thank you 👍😀

They told us to just keep running on the left and they had marshalls at each of the turns so it wasn't too bad :)
Must try that one. Looks a bit narrow when runners coming both ways?

Despite all the rain recently, it's nice to see it's dried out a bit since I ran in December. Had wet feet before we'd even started!
It was fine as long as you didn't venture off of the path and on to the grass. If you did, you might have lost a running shoe in to the mud! :)
@@HereWeAreRunning I can imagine!

That looked fun!
Flat, fast and a big puddle = lots of fun :)
Great running buddy, and great to meet you too yesterday!
Good to meet you too! Nice to put a face to a RUclips subscriber name :)

Here We Are Running, are you doing Milton Keynes next weekend?
@@turkeysandwich001 No, just staying local.
Sounds like Hillingdon? If so I did it also! Good job
Alexander James, yes it was Hillingdon. The support was tremendous and kept me going.
