Edvard Hagerup Grieg (1843- 1907), Air, (Andante religioso) Fra Holbergs Tid (From Holberg's Time), Holberg Suite, Op. 40 no. 4, more properly "From Holberg's Time", subtitled "Suite in olden style" (Norwegian: Suite i gammel stil, German: Suite im alten Style), Scottish Ensemble, Jonathan Rees. Fra Holbergs Tid, is a suite of five movements based on eighteenth century dance forms, written in 1884 to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the birth of Danish-Norwegian humanist playwright Ludvig Holberg.
Paintings by Johan Christian Dahl (1788- 1857).
Ludvig Holberg, Baron of Holberg (1684- 1754) was a writer, essayist, philosopher, historian and playwright born in Bergen Norway,during the time of the Dano-Norwegian double monarchy, who spent most of his adult life in Denmark.

I have used this as my main video for the past day, the music of Grieg is always impassioned and of course the art of Dahl is always good to view, a truly romantic painter of the sweeping vista. Thank you again for another wonderful YT experience.
