Nathan was written and conceived after watching how boys are not allowed to show their emotions due to what society has deemed appropriate behavior. After losing my younger brother to suicide and my older brother who used alcohol to tune out and then becoming homeless, it leads me to believe that they were emotionally stuck with no way out. I too have suffered emotional but have been an ongoing seeker to find my way in the world. I am hopeful that this song called Nathan (which speaks for ALL male beings at every age) will give an understanding that it's time to change an old belief that isn't working for anyone's behalf.
