Metropolice comparasion - Half Life Alyx vs Half Life 2

Have metropolice aka Civil Protection improved in Half Life Alyx? How smarter are they now than before? How do they react to people?

I have a feeling the reason why we don't see them more in the game is because Metrocops aren't allowed into the Qurantine Zone expect Combine Soldiers that can.

@@gamevoid3684 Since Metrocops are only human volunteers and if they go into the Qurantine Zone, who knows what they might do on purpose. Maybe try to trick the Combine and escape the City or try to take down the Vault.

The crazy part it that the grunts are the most special despite being the weakest because they speak clearly they get worried when their tanks catch on fire they overall have just emotion and I think they were much more amazing

@@mustardman1040 Not really, the only fully human combine forces i currently know of are the conscripts from hl2 beta and civil protection, all ota have some augmentations.

In Half Life Alyx, the Combine Overwatch Soldiers also serve as the Combine's analogue of police tactical units with Civil Protection officers being relegated to regular community policing.

I like them both. They were more human before Alyx came along and recked their stuff. Then they changed their regimen and became less human.

In HL2, CP have different, RL analogue police radio system selcall like sounds. In HL:A, they now have the same alien-like radio sounds the Overwatch had in HL2...

Civil Protection in HL: Alyx act more human than in HL 2 which makes more sense because they are not modified like Overwatch. I think that in HL 2 they are stronger than in Alyx.

Conclusion: HL2 offers more action and more combat based stuff
While HLA offers greater animation textures and just make them look majestic for human right violators and also offering more reaction + diologue
