0:38 interesting setup, recently had a project that exceed the possibilities of my micro-lathe, luckily it permits to install the cross-slide the opposite way for extra travel. 😅

If that is a flywheel from a running motor , scrap it . Best practice never to repair them . Machine a new one . 👍

Good advice. This is from an exercise bike so it never spins that fast and a new one was about 1k so the repair was worth it.
