This ambience is probably the best in all of the games. It isn’t designed to outright scare you, but evoke a sense of dread. The chimes in the background perfectly embody child nostalgia, but the deep droning sound let’s us know that there’s more than meets the eye.
You know when the "you stayed up too late" and the "you cant sleep cuz theres monsters nearby" feeling but when fnaf 4 came out, that just got a whole new meaning. Such good times.
I think this theme/ambience is the best that scott ever made. It is so atmospheric and perfectly describes the feeling of real danger in an otherwise peaceful environment. Like maybe outside, a few hundred meters away are people, someone goes with their dog, while a 7/11 is still open and there are people living their lives inside, shopping. But no one knows about what is going on in your house, a few hundred meters away, your alone and helpless. I think with this mindset, the ambience is actually a masterpiece
That’s basically where FNAF 4 feels like the game is taking place. In this really tiny and desolate house on this far away ranch in the middle of nowhere. Just from the scale and even the title screen, you feel so alone and helpless. Like nobody is here for you and your alone facing these nightmares
FNAF 4 perfectly captures the sense of trying to fall asleep as a young child with these monsters in your head blurring into reality that terrifies the hell out of you. It has the sense that you're all alone in a giant dark abyss of terror as it seemed as a child trying to get through the night. I was 13 or 14 when it came out and it uncannily surprised me on how realistic it was to that very experience. It triggers Deja Vu because I could've swore I had been there before, which is why FNAF 4 is the scariest FNAF game in my opinion
I live about a couple hundred yards from a highway, and at night when it’s quiet you can hear the tires of the car making a slow ambiance that sounds somewhat like this.
same. I wish we can go back and do it all over again, when FNAF was at its peak, everyone doing a video about it, mostly filling up peoples recommends. Those were good times indeed.
I remember the first ever FNAF game I played was the 4th one and I was 5 when I did. That game actually effected me, like I would have nightmares EVERY night. My mom would always get mad at me for playing it💀💀
So you’re telling me that you’ve been spending your nights up trying to fend yourself from demonic looking blood thirsty animatronics that lurk within the rooms? Damn.. you must be the coolest kid in school! …Just don’t get bitten, okay..?
Honestly I can see that but in the game it’s terrifying because of the constant danger. Somehow mixing something that should be calming with something extremely unsettling makes it that much scarier for me.
@@theMemeProduction ah yes, because slightly larger screen is much worse than small screen. It’s the same game, it’s not about what you play it on, it’s about playing the game
This is in my opinion the best ambience thats ever been made in fnaf, the really deep base mixed with the atmosphere and small bell hits, not only is it an ear massage, it's also FUCKING TERRIFYING. 10/10 would be traumatized to again.
the amount of nostalgia and deep feelings of unsettlement and relaxation this has in it is just incredible. the best ambiance i have ever heard and truly, the best game in the franchise.
This ambience gets me extremely nostalgic, especially towards the ending portion. Reminds me of walking around my neighborhood with my big brother at night when I was around 6 or 7. I miss being a child.
Lets talk abt the fact that the ambience of this game literally defines it like when i was playing i’d have been much less scared if this wasnt playing It just adds to the realistic factor and that kind of feeling in your brain while walking around your house at night that is like a sound if you know what i mean but yeah this is by far probably the best ambience in a horror game
The ambience is perfect. At the beginning, you feel that youre alone, but the music is a kind of "warning" that *they* are coming. When the intense one starts, it implies that they are already coming for you. Good sign of that is the radio sound in the first night. Its a kind of sign that they arrived. Also, seriously, why the kid doents escape trought the window before the animatronics arrive😂? He could go to the city, but nooo, hes waiting for his fate.
Uhh.. maybe because children are taught not to wonder about the streets alone at night? What if there were predators out there? I guess he'd rather deal with the animatronics than human monsters.
this video reminds me of when we all closed our closets tight to keep the monsters out and kept our doors open just a crack so the light from the hallway could shine through just a bit. that feeling of running from a dark room after you turned your gamecube off, afraid if you look back a ghost will be there facing you. playing storyteller on the trampoline past your bed time, trying to one up your friends with scary stories until the adults realize your still outside. that feeling of slight dread but joy you had as a small child, a feeling you wish you had a word for.
Let’s be honest, this ambience is the scariest one out of all the FNAF ambiences. Imagine you’re trying to get a drink or a midnight snack and you get the feeling someone or something broke into the house and is waiting to attack you
The reason fnaf four feels so much scarier even today, is because you aren't playing as someone who gets payed for this and has the equipment for this, like he doesn't have a mask, or cameras, or power, or doors that close by a button, instead your just a small child, with nothing but a flashlight, and your plushies at the end of the night.
If you genuinely fall asleep to this you, while i was writing this comment and unironically i had a ratatouille moment and a mixture of nostalgia/ comfort came over me.
I’m gonna be honest… Out of all the years I’ve played Five Nights at Freddy’s… the fourth game is probably my least favourite… but undoubtedly the scariest. Its kind of shameful that a grown up like myself can sometimes hardly bring the courage to play this game. Sure the jumpscares may be predictable and the overall gameplay is uncomfortable… but there’s just this unsettling feel when you remove all the cameras… have to stand at your door and listen the whole time in the darkness. One second too early… or one second too late… *You were dead*
I remember playing fnaf 4 while high on shrooms and I was so scared I just stayed in one spot until Freddy killed me, then I beat the whole game after putting all my effort in not dying like that again. I swear, I could hear the animatronics from across the house
FNAF 4 will always be the scariest game in the franchise (to me at least). The pitch black darkness, the heavy reliance on sound, the fact that if you see the animatronics…. Things are going wrong…
Just imagine you are sleeping in your bed, you wake to the sound of noise outside your bedroom. You check outside and nothing is there. You close the door, and go to your bed too scared to sleep, and you try not to fall asleep but you fail to do so and as soon as you close your eyes, you hear the noise again, you are too scared to get off of you bed. You try to act Brave and you go to the door and as you go to your door and open it. You see something that frightens you. You see a big nightmarish looking animatronic in the shadows, you close the door in fright. You then hear a hollow laugh. You are too Frightened to do anything, you go and hide and the covers and as you do, your door slowly creeps open, you try to control your breathing, as footsteps are heard but then they stop, for a while, you then get out of the covers and nothing is there, you look around with your flashlights and then behind you and then the nightmarish animatronic then let’s out a jumpscare.
