      @@alensabu5484 yes, but your getting ahead of yourself, I'd say make sure you are good at math in general, get your algebra in good shape for what you will face in college courses for chemical engineering, if you could have a good understanding of pre calculus that is a big plus, it's the most important foundation and with that you'll get a good grasp of physics, chemistry, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, etc. again, make sure to have your math and algebra skills in check first

      @@joeking3688 I just got a bachelor's degree back then, I don't really know if I have what it takes to pursue a PhD really, especially in chemical engineering, a PhD way more in depth than in an undergraduate degree and I don't know that I wanted to undergo that much stress again. currently I'm thinking of pursuing a masters degree, in materials engineering because that is mostly what applies to my job nowadays, that would help me more understand the characteristics of materials and how they behave under different conditions, specially polimers

      علي المعمري you forgot to say its 20$. we had 100-200page scripts that acompanied our lectures and it only cost the cost for the paper+ink. 20$ would be 4-5 of these

      yeah 20$ sounds like a lot especially when you know how much tuition fees are, you'd think they could cover that... but as others have said, I'm sure buying books is common practice and they can be way more expensive, and it's the US we're talking about...

    I just finished my junior year of chem'e and argh!
    For my transport phenomena class: open book tests, 5 hours to finish them... and still nobody would get a grade higher than a 90
    I mean, there's a reason why they have such high salaries, it's a lot of work as a student

    • @rhazzzz
      @rhazzzz 3 года назад

      you probably will never read this but if by any chance you do, was all of it worth it? Is the salary as good as u expected and do you enjoy the job? I'm gonna start uni later on this year and decided to take chem eng so I'd like to know as much about it before i start

    • @LuisaIslas
      @LuisaIslas 3 года назад +1

      @@rhazzzz If you're solely doing it for the salary, then I'd suggest you switch majors, as the courses can be quite challenging. If you do well, I had friends who went straight into industry with starting salaries between 50,000 to 80,000 and they are all doing very well. No one from my class struggled to get employment after graduation. Chem'E can also open doors to pursue a PhD, med school, or law school; and the courses overlap with other science majors, so you can easily do a double major in chemistry or physics, or completely switch to those majors early on. Hope that helps! I went on to pursue a PhD in materials science and now work as a research scientist for a chemicals company.

    • @rhazzzz
      @rhazzzz 3 года назад +1

      @@LuisaIslas thats actually very helpful thank you! I took chemE cuz i enjoy chemistry a lot in highschool, but I do hear from a lot of people that chemE is mostly physics with some chemistry in it which kinda worries me a little, but i still prefer physics and chem heavy over bio so ill take it. And if I falter mid semester or sth I just gotta remind myself that its all gonna be worth it haha. Thanks again!

      You most surely can go into a job to do with outer space. If that's your thing I would say to pursue it and see certain jobs that appeal to you more than others and stick with the ones that you have fun studying. And as long as you like what you're learning and know you need it for what you want to study then I don't see something as "I'm not that good at math and science'" as something that should stop you from studying what you want to learn !!!!

    Im probably going to study chem. e. in the future, now I will probably choose maths and chemisrty to study in high school, my grandpa was a high manager in our ex-national oil processing state owned company, my father made programs to help him calculate fractional disstilations on some very first computers and now owns an IT company. I think I will be interested in conservating energy or polymers. I have no idea why I wrote this o.O

    In my opinion Channing is the most bizarre part of the whole Theranos story. There is an explanation for how Elizabeth was able to fool so many people for so long, but no one can explain how as a teenager she was able to trick a Stanford professor into believing she was developing groundbreaking new medical technology. Had he not believed her in the beginning, then I don’t think Theranos would have ever happened. People believed in Elizabeth because Channing believed in Elizabeth.

    because muball1 already answered your question about what engineering is best I guess I will tell you how much you would probably earn. The average starting salary is $64,500 while the average mid career salary is $109,000.
