I swear, even JLO's arm is in the air. Look for it. 5 - She gets her 3rd standing ovation. An Idol first. The haters can eat sh!t.

They all get swept away when someone starts belting it out regardless of how badly the singer misinterpreted the lyrics and failed to give flesh to the emotions of the lyrics effectively - poor musicality. Hence, they are wowed by stereotypical performances by Jordin, Candice, and such. Haley, on the other hand, is like a surgeon wielding a scalpel; she is more accurate and effective in interpreting the lyrics: inward looking self pity at her own lowly state, envy for the other girl, frustration-filled declaration of her love. All these cleverly done with inflections, subtle pantomimes, and poignant push with her unique vocals - and investing it with her own oomph and panache. She gives us goosebumps in all her performances because she sings the words like she lived them. This is what makes this such a singularly outstanding performance.

However, she has been biding her time for some reason and refusing to sign a record deal with a major record label. Nonetheless, I think that in time she will eventually sign a record deal and enter the big leagues, and when she does, she will take the world by storm.
Amazing performance. Her vocals in this performance along with her emoting and her acting are off the charts. I felt every single note. There is no one on the scene today that is capable of doing a spectacular performance like that one. She is made for the television cameras. She should be featured on every network TV show that features music. If she was, she'd be a mega star.

What I love about this: Hearing the crowd cheer in the background Pacing--she's not in a hurry to get to the next verse or phrase She's really learned how to belt it out, then bring it down soft. Much better than many idol contestants that want to shout the entire song. Love the transition @1:07 You can watch any of her last 4 or 5 weeks and see these same things in all those songs.
