Do you know someone who can’t get to Sunday Mass today? We are called to share God’s Word, so if you know someone who might enjoy this broadcast or is unable to attend Mass, we consider it a blessing to welcome them to our liturgy.
Since 1952, the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Washington has produced a weekly televised Mass for those who are homebound. Our 30 minute Catholic Mass today is broadcast from the Basilica’s Crypt Church and is celebrated by priests from the Archdiocese of Washington and the Diocese of Arlington, featuring sacred liturgical music with a Cantor & Organist from the Choir of The Basilica. The Christmas Mass and the Easter Mass are special one-hour broadcasts celebrated annually by the bishops of the Archdiocese of Washington and the Diocese of Arlington.
Our mission is to bring the blessings of Jesus Christ’s presence and love, through The Sunday TV Mass, to the sick and those unable to leave their homes. We offer the The Sunday Mass online and The Sunday Mass on TV, airing on WDCW-50 every Sunday at 10:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. For a full broadcast channel listing of our televised Mass, as well as other information, visit adw.org/parishes-masses/sunda...

O God, who chose the Bishop Saint Patrick to preach your glory to the peoples of Ireland, grant, through his merits and intercession, that those who glory in the name of Christian may never cease to proclaim your wondrous deeds to all. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity or the Holy Spirit, God, forever and ever. Amen.
St. Patrick, pray for us. ☘️☘️☘️

Hello friends. Can someone explain why they have THIS version of the mass as well as the Sunday broadcast? Is this just supposed to be the "reader's digest' mass?
Yes, First off thank you for taking part in the liturgy today and for your question. This is a 30-minute format meant specifically for a TV spot. We also provide a full Solemn Mass at Noon on Sundays which is our 1-hour+ livestream (see link in description).
The reason for this being posted on Fridays is for distribution purposes for our affiliates. As well as the ability to utilize this as a Vigil Mass for some.
@@marysshrine thank you! I appreciate the explanation.
