@@nredextreme8240 need to make my son’s Dune buggy faster.. idk, add a second battery or change electrical to a gas engine?

@@AngelAguilar-dh1jz There are lots of good options. A good starting point would be to increase voltage to the motor from 24V to 36V by adding a third battery wired in series with the two existing batteries. This usually requires upgrading the motor controller from 24V to 36V. Next, you can look at upgrading the motor to 36V or even 48V (careful, above 42V can shock you). Take a look at the gearing too. If you add voltage and/or a bigger motor, you will have more torque to work with, and you can run taller gears for more top speed, if that is your goal. However, taller gears can be a disadvantage on grass and other off-road surfaces. Gas motors can be a good option too if you don't mind more work, and the noise and heat that they generate. There are good websites with parts and kits like electricscooterparts.com (no affiliation). Stay tuned for new videos soon on this topic.

Just came here to say your dad is awesome!! Just did some maintenance on my kid's razor bugger - lube, new batteries and harness, tires. Nothing like this, though.

When you upgraded to the 48V battery did you have to make any modifications to the motor or the speed controller
