I love my Lon I love my Lone Wolf Boogieman pedal! It does whatever I want it to do! There is so much leeway regarding the settings that there seems to be infinite possibilities regarding effects.. Never play pugged in without it! Simply awesome and never regretted getting it.
I am amazed that so many harp players still use the Shure Green Bullet. I could not get not-that-small hands round that mic to get a decent sealed cup. . .and feedback, oy. The Bulletini, the HB52 and other, newer mics, provide great tone with pretty damn good feedback protection. ok, that’s my rant. The LWB Boogeyman? Lone Wolf makes some really niiiice pedals. I am more of a Harp Attack pedal guy, so I’d be getting an Alpha Wolf, if I were getting one of the combo LWB pedals. Those pedals are not cheap, BUT, Randy at Lone Wolf puts a 10 year guarantee on his pedals. And, i had avail myself of that guarantee (only)once, it was a fast turnaround, and they couldn’t have been more friendly and accommodating. They’ve been around for years, so, if u got the $ to spend on pedals for ur harp, Lone Wolf Blues is there for us harp dudes and dudettes.
I have the Alpha wolf and several Harp Attacks. This video was created before the Alpha wolf was created. I like the all in one. I use the boogieman with tube amps. And the Alpha wolf for PA and or Solid state amps
Also helps immensely to swap the hot 12ax7 tubes for 12ay7, at least in the first pre-amp slot. It tames the blues jr gain to produce a very nice tone for a guitar amp.
Real nice sounds comin' from the piggy, Eddie! Good job on the set up using the boogieman. I would be more than happy to have a sound like that at home to practice and jam to! Your tone and playing sound the goods too. Good job, mate.. sounding good from down-under!!
John Carroll thanks I have been using the boogie man a while with amps that are already awesome for harp. I just dial in variations during the night of playing. to me it's money well spent to make any amp at least usable for harp. if all else fails go right into PA.
Hey Eddie great stuff, do you use the Lone Wolf harp break to help with feedback? I see you use Seydels, I like to overblow, do you use the half value Seydels? Thoughts. Cheers
The pedal makes it easy to dial in an amp especially for feedback problems. Depends on the amp. I usually try to set the amp up as best as it can sound on its own first at as much volume it will go before feedback. Then I plug in the boogieman, the boogieman will then let me get a great sound. I play the 1847 classics right out of the box. Not much on overblowing unless by accident.
Really great review and demonstration I got to pig Amps 10 and 20 Using same mike as you Not sure to get a Bogey Man Or HarpAtack And delay You still pleased with yours ? Thanks again for your review Cheers
The boogieman is the best for only one pedal and it has an xlr output for a pa. I own 3 harp attacks. They made one with an xlr output. If you do not mind the extra pedal the harp attack and the delay is an incredible combination. I still have my boogieman I always carry it as a backup in case my amp dies. Or if I play through a guitar amp that doesnt work for harmonica. You will be happy with either choice.
Yes a few times but I normally carry a small amp. I have to run the boogieman into the monitor and it gets sent to both monitors then my stage volume causes my guitar player to turn up. It would be better if I could the pedal only into my monitor. I use the pedal mostly into an amp. I keep the pedal up in or near my harp case and then tweak the sound as the night goes on. The pedal is well worth the money and then some. I own several Lone Wolf Blues pedals. To me this is the best one to have. You can also run the pedal into your amp and then the xlr into the PA you don't have to mic the amp, use it as a line out. Add just a little to the PA to help send your sound. Then you can use your amp as a monitor.
The best demostration about this pedal... Congratulations
miquel gomila thank you it is a great pedal
I concur. That was the best demo on RUclips for the Boogieman. I just bought one, oh boy!
Lone Wolf makes the best innovative gear for harps out there. Crunchy, bassy, echoey, = bluesy. What’s not to love 😎

What is better to buy for my fender pro junior? Boogie or alpha wolf? What's the difference? Thanks sir.
I say if you are going into a tube amp get the boogieman
If your amp is solid state or a PA get the alpha wolf.
That is how I use them.

I'm listening to this and say to myself, this sounds like Eddie talking here. LO AND BEHOLD. -- Yo Yo Yo Eddie!!!!!

Eddie Martin hey I forgot to reply to this
Thanks for getting back
And sorry for the delay
LOne wolf Harp shield I meant oops
Chip Sellarole I have not used a harp shield. I had a kinder antifeedback pedal for years but sold it after I got the boogieman.
Hey Eddie, have you played the Lone Wolf Blues Boogieman into a PA on stage?
Yes a few times but I normally carry a small amp. I have to run the boogieman into the monitor and it gets sent to both monitors then my stage volume causes my guitar player to turn up.
